One thing that never changed over the thousand years was Yuan Qi and Hong Yi's hate and love relationship. Hahah! They're toooo precious and cute.

What is Lady Hong Chou or what she is called the woman supposed to protect the ML, what is her problem. She just…
She later redeems herself, so we'll just let it go for now. :)

Hiiii, excuse me, is this worth watching ? what abou the ending ? happy ending ?
Just give it a try, don't worry about the ending, the journey is so much more.

I was just thinking...GUJ/YuanQi was always fighting time in this drama. He was always running against or out…
Maybe Xiu Yan couldn't use it until he was whole again and out of the abyss? I dunno. The last five episodes, they were using all these ancient magical tools out of nowhere! Hahah, that rock, that seal, so many I lost count. Lol

Aww. A wonderful review. I'm glad you enjoyed the drama as much as (even more, I suspect!) as I did. I was here…
I'm just happy we got to see YQ again unlike The Starry Love, just computerized flowers. Lol

Hmmm lanfeng is the saddest character …. The most pitiful victim… hua shu a tragic villain
Yes, I truly pity him, too. However, it sort of reminds us to be cautious who we fall in love with and protect. I'm not saying Hua Shu doesn't deserve love. She has a lot of issues because she was raised by an evil man. Lan Feng never regretted loving her because he said it himself that he loves all of her even her flaws, but she was a bad person and bad people surround themselves with other bad people who in the end have bad and selfish intentions, so Lan Feng had a chance to resurrect but can never now. It's great that people sacrifice themselves for the one they love but sometimes, doing it for a bad person isn't always a good thing. Although Yuan Qi loved A Yin but he wasn't biased towards her. He knew she was a good person, so he protected her against false accusations. Lan Feng knew that Hua Shu did a lot of shady stuff but chose to turn a blind eye, so ultimately it hurt her. If Lan Feng had remained righteous like Yuan Qi, although, it's tough love but it would've saved his life and allowed him to accompany and guide Hua Shu. But that story was meant to go south. Hua Shu and Hua Mo are ones who can't stop until they've lost everything, I guess.

Yeah, I'm glad the screenwriters changed that. I'm going to have a sleepover and binge it with my friends who haven't watched it yet. I'm sure I'll catch a lot more stuff the second time around. :)

I'm not ready to say goodbye yet.

To the world, The Last Immortal/Shen Yin is like a water divine beast, lowly, insignificant, can never be good enough, forgettable, and just a passerby in this vast endless realm of dramas. However, to most of us here, Shen Yin is as valuable, precious, and beautiful as A Yin is and will always be to Yuan Qi. She is his joy, his peace, his greatest gift in life, his sole purpose, the only person that gives him strength to carry through a thousand years of waiting and the courage to protect all the realms sacrificing his life with no regrets. Yuan Qi's love for A Yin is so pure, magnificent, and extremely rare even in the xianxia world. Yes, Yuan Qi is my favorite character. I want a Yuan Qi and at the same time, be a Yuan Qi to the dearest one in my heart too.

Yes, this drama wasn’t free of flaws. The last few episodes could’ve been better, the ending longer, they should’ve included the epilogue, but at the end of the day, nothing can tarnish the beauty of this drama in my heart. Although the production value or CG wasn’t as grand as other dramas, but its existence had a grand impact in my life. The story and most importantly, the two main leads, Wang An Yu and Zhao Lu Si is truly a matchmade in heaven. They are the true gods of this drama. Their chemistry, acting, friendship, and bond ALL together made their love story unforgettable. Perhaps some of us, like me, needed a healing drama like this to let go of the old year and begin the new year with hope. Like Wang An Yu said about Zhao Lu Si, how she healed him, and he, too, comforted her during some dark times of her life while filming this drama, they both healed a lot of us through this collaboration, their love story as Yuan Qi and A Yin. The execution of this drama, again, is super solid and consistent. The character development, growth, maturation, depth, profound love, sacrifices, misunderstandings, and angst ALL makes sense. There’s no mistake, no accident, no randomness. If it wasn’t Wang An Yu as Yuan Qi, I don’t think my heart would’ve softened this much. If it wasn’t Zhao Lu Si as A Yin, I wouldn’t have adored the story as much either. The only regret I have is, I caught it at its last week. I wished I had watched it from the beginning because I have so much love for this drama and especially for Wang An Yu and Zhao Lu Si. They have won my heart.

I’ve learned from this drama that people change with time even if we don’t want to. We’re not the same person we were yesterday, as so many things happen to us on a daily basis. Thus, I’m going to cherish this drama and the cast one day at a time. As I watched this drama, I felt myself changing with their changes, growing up with them through their one thousand years, and understanding life from a different angle. After watching the entire drama, Yuan Qi wasn’t dumb or lacked communication. He did everything to BUY TIME to find another safer way out to avoid hurting anyone BUT the villains were always a step ahead. He couldn’t tell A Yin everything because she wouldn’t allow him to buy time through his sacrifices. It was unfortunate that things happened the way they did BUT it was meant to be that way. After much thought, the ending didn’t have to be long because Feng Yin discovered the truth before Yuan Qi’s last sacrifice, so at least, they had some time to mend things and fully understand each other. They just LOVE each other so much. All in all, this drama was awesome. The OST was perfect and complimented the drama so well.

A thousand years from now, I’ll still love this drama and hope that by then, the people who once hated it, crucified it, and didn’t see its worth will realize their mistake and appreciate it like how the immortals repented for having wronged A Yin. For those who love this drama already, we don’t need to prove anything to the world. We will continue to love it whole heartedly, quietly, and beautifully like Yuan Qi’s love for A Yin. A love like this is felt and cherished by few and as long as we know its worth, that’s all that matters. This drama will be my strength to live 2024 fully, wisely, and happily. Thank you to everyone on this thread for such an incredible journey. I’ll hang around here for a little while.

My complaints at the moment. I'm quite disappointed with the last 10 episodes. We never got sweet scenes of YQ and FY. That's the biggest regret because WAY as YQ and ZLS as A Yin will never come again. Why can't xianxias have endings like Ten Miles of of Peach Blossoms where the leads meet again, hug, cry, and be in each other's embrace before the story ends? This is a multimillion drama and that's the ending you come up with which is an exact replica of all other xianxias?! I'd like to write their endings for them for free! The last episode was quite choppy and if I hadn't read tidbits on here, I'd fail to understand what was happening. I'll add my likes later.

I'm loving YQ's mischievous persona. It has been a thousand years since we've seen that cheeky smile and playfulness of his. I'm glad he's taking charge and not letting Feng Yin waste any more of their time together, since he knows the truth about his health. I'm happy that he has been a true gentleman in not pushing her too early to accept his presence but it has been 6 episodes or so, so I think we're good with Feng Yin's distance from Yuan Qi. Point proven, so let's just get to the sweet parts until it goes sour again. Hehe. I loveeeee WAY's puppy eyes as YQ chasing after FY.

Too many Ye Hua moments too like the rain and the carrying of FY on his shoulder. Hehe.

Me: Hells yeah make him suffer! (Yuanqi/gujin)Also me: No….I can’t take that sad heartbroken expression.
I don't mind making YQ suffer a bit but can we do it with some cute scenes? They've barely even met during the past four episodes. Lol

I'm really loving this drama, too. It's a xianxia that makes sense, very consistent, character development, and is bringing all of the stories together now.

People who don't understand the plot will keep hating yuan qi
Although there may be some people who genuinely don't like Yuan Qi for whatever reason or preference, YQ is probably one of the best male leads to grace our screens. Sure, he should've communicated his plans and stuff BUT in reality, we can't always reveal what we're thinking and plotting.

Ep 30: first scene with ml and that peacock…finally the ml’s eyes are completely opened and I’m here for…
I really loved this scene. It answered the question as to why HS remained unctouched for a thousand years when she was part of what killed A Yin.
