Anyway, because of that situation, it makes her character a funny case lawl. And I love the father all doting on her and keep calling her pumpkin pie?

Funny enough is LBFAD has finished! It’s not like they are running concurrently. But I guess this is what the water army is doing to stop TTEOTM doing well. This is why hype drama can’t get explosive as the army will try to stop it from being explosive and why unknown/lesser known drama can be explosive because they didn’t get in fast enough with all their jeopardise and smearing campaigns

This is near the end of the first life (or the event of 500 years ago). TTJ’s enemy wanted him to choose between YXW or YBC to save, he chose YBC, because he was VERY CONFIDENT YXW will be ok, “she wears his bracelet, her life is connected to his. As long as she has 1 breathe left in her, he will have a way to heal her. And he got the flag of soul, so even if she die, so what, as long as he can protect her soul, she will be fine”. These are literally his internal thoughts. How wrong he was lol, that’s why it’s so devastating to him when she’s gone

It’s a complex thing to answer lol. So yes, technically you are right, it’s an attraction he can’t shake off from MingYe’s dream. However, by the text in the book, he is just as dazzled by her courage and strong character like TTJ (before MY’s arc). So given time, he would be just as hopelessly be in love with her, which is what YBC is worried about.
And you are right, due to his righteousness, he will keep his promise to his wife and not do anything about his feeling. The text described his feeling for her when he chased after her to rescue her clearly show he understands it’s strong attraction from MY, however during the time he got to know her, he knew with her current personality she will act like SJ, she will love and suffer (MY’s arc is like a huge overshadow lol)

This is where the drama hasn’t managed to do enough due to time constraints. In the novel, she didn’t want anyone suspicious of her personality changes. Adding on top of that, is the 2 reasons others have listed: her family got killed by him, and she needed to test him. They didn’t show the internal dialogue well enough, for the whip scene, she only whip so that it’s not out of the norm, but after 2-3 whips, she used the excuse I’m tired to stop it early, even the ML suspect something wrong. In the novel, the realisation she’s a different person is a lot slower

Most angst regarding the main CP? Not really. The most angst is after lol. mingYe arc is pretty angsty (though in a sense, you are not too attached because it’s not the ML and FL lol, it’s someone’s love story and our leads just reenact it) and most of the problems is created by YBC

Uh no, so say when he took out her sect and her father, they have never met, because if they do, then this wouldn’t happen. The moment she transport back in time, it creates a new timeline, where the event you see wouldn’t happen the way you saw it.

So I guess because in the book, her evilness doesn’t show until they were in MingYe arc, and because we only have 40ep, so they put it through her dialogs. Already her dialogues appear to be fake, calculated responses, and superficial. I was wondering why or how they can do this crying/super emotional scene for the wedding and what’s the reasons. Turn out it’s because XL left her to protect other ppl, and here you can see her selfish shine through: I’m your wife, am I not more important than those strangers? And if anyone ask why she’s being so dramatic, crying and everything, it is through this incident that she learns only she herself can give her all. And that her righteous husband might not love her the way she wanted him to, but this is a misunderstanding. She didn’t understand that the heart protect scale is so powerful, no one is going to hurt her, leaving it with her is basically the best thing XL can do lol. Anyway, not much happening with this CP, so I don’t think they can be as popular as the hot search make out to be lol. The 3rd cp though, very very hot lol. I love how they change the second brother’s character, in the book, he’s a lot more timid than this

Thoughts on the first 6 episodes: very very nice, interesting, fast pace, setting the world and the setting quite well. I can see the difference but I actually don’t mind the change/trim line of the plot. In term of acting, LYX is the living TTJ in every word, I had my doubt before, from the trailer it seems he might be a bit too soft for TTJ, but as it goes on, while being soft facial, smiling sweetly, the coldness coming out of him is frightening. Which is exactly how the book described him!

BL is just lovely, she’s light like a goddess, just as her character would be! And she does make you laugh and chuckle along with her. And I have to say she must lose weight for this role or something, because that woman is gorgeous from the front, and goddess from the back! And I’m talking a fuzzy half view of the back of her! Or the costumes are just that gorgeous that she’s literally a goddess in every angle lol! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

In regards for the second leads, slightly disappointing. DW is a bit too stiff, CDL - possibly because her makeup is always pale, she does not look as great as in the photos. Even when she was in her wedding dress, again, not as standout as the photo leaks 🤷‍♀️ in regards of the second CP, I’ll do it under spoiler.

So basically YBC wanted to be the main wife, not the concubine. She is married to XL just as she wishes but as a concubine. That means later on, anyone can be his main wife and she will live the same fate as her mother, powerless in the household, can’t get things done her way, has to be on the look out constantly, etc.

This smile is the essence of TTJ. I have to retract my previous comment about him being too soft, it’s just right. The coldness coming out from the soft exterior, which is what make it scary. Which is how the book described him!!!

For someone who loves the novel so much, this drama met my expectations so far lol. The changes they made make sense. And it does help with the flow of thoughts of the leads! I love the internal dialogue, love hearing their doubts and schemes 🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh no, last episode before tomorrow? As long as YouKu don’t make me pay extra for each week lol, because I might not be able to help it lol. Also I couldn’t believe they already have a hot scene in ep2 lolololol! In the novel, initially, all they need is stay close to each other, not consummate, but the drama is like no time for this, in, kgo! 🤣🤣🤣
