Considering Yang Yang isn't even expecting his military drama to air until 2022, and that neither actor has mentioned the release of this drama, I'm convinced this was just a concept that was never gonna happen. They haven't even filmed it at all.
So, I just read a lot of disappointed Chinese Yang Yang fans between 1/2/21 - 1/4/21 because Yang Yang himself had an interview in which he spoke about when this would air. During that interview he said "...likely 2022..." hahaha.
Everyone was under the impression this was going to be release 12/31/20, but yingpingshou states that this drama is actually not scheduled to air until 12/20/21. So, we're going to be waiting another year for this, and so what Yang Yang said was accurate, it's not coming out until at least 2022, for whatever reason. Also, the platform/channel it will air on has not be confirmed:
This year, for the first time, NetFlix was my most watch streaming site with 44 shows that I watched on the site. During this past year, I didn't seek out to watch dramas/movies on the site. With the new "Where To Watch" links on a shows page, if it had a NetFlix link, I'd use it.
I switched my cellular company from AT&T to T-Mobile part way through 2019 and it comes with 2 subs to NetFlix for free. Whether I use it or not makes no difference since I get the sub free. That made it much easier to watch through the streaming site.
Some of the top things I watched on NetFlix this year, including older dramas/movies I hadn't gotten around to watching during the year it was released include: #ALIVE Mystic Pop-Up Bar Kingdom S2 It's Okay to Not Be Okay Hospital Playlist My Holo Love The Bride of Habaek Record of Youth Find Yourself Itaewon Class Romance Doll The King: Eternal Monarch Unlucky Ploy Well-intended Love Your Name Engraved Herein
God I remember that. It was so horrific. She was gone for ages and couldn't do anything but rest. Has she managed…
"...After a year of hiatus, Red Velvet's Wendy is set to make a comeback to the entertainment industry as the MC of JTBC's new music talk show, "Mysterious Record Shop..." ~ It has taken her a whole year to heal herself to even make a comeback, and Red Velvet had to stop all its promotion of it's song "Psycho". The cost to that group was enormous and now they're coming back during a pandemic so it's even harder to garner attention and get success promoting yourself. With that kind of price being paid by entertainers, SBS should have gotten its act together already... but here we are a year later, and they're back to being lackadaisical with their safety precautions again.
SBS is responsible for the unsafe conditions that caused Red Velvet's Wendy serious falling accident. She actually fell 2 meters and fractured her right pelvis & wrist besides an injury to her face. SBS promised to make sure that sets and rehearsals in the future would have accident precautions strictly adhered to so nothing like this happens again.
Yes, accidents happen but it angers me to hear SBS's production staff making the statement, "...The production team promised to be more careful and to take precautionary measures to prevent the reoccurrence of such accidents..." when based on their words, THIS should have been taking place to begin with, not AFTER an injury occurs. =/
I did some research for everyone!Filming was scheduled to start in April 2020, and the air date was shown as 2020/2021.…
This drama was already filmed before the pandemic, in the beginning of 2019. [ You can see all the filming previews from the filming in the beginning of this video] The drama was already completed and was supposed to air on GMM channel 31. However, something happened, and it was never official listed on their schedule, and was shelved. Aom Sushar attempted to promoted it as you can see in her IG from early this year [ https://www.instagram.com/p/B9TOotsAadT/ ] and somewhere in the comments P'Push actually comments to this post "...when??..." to which Aom replies, "...well, we can try..." or something to that affect, indicating that they want the drama to come out as much as all of us. You can go thru Aom's IG posts from April 2019 to September 2019, and see some of her stills from the filming of #BossandmeThai.
Bottom line: for w/e reason GMM isn't releasing this drama even though it's filmed and completed and the actors have moved on to other projects.
So, who's the ML here? She has a ex husband and a current husband but her current husband is second lead so who's…
You can surmise it from the synopsis: "Her current husband works as a diplomatic official and seems gentle and warm. His secret is that he is actually a cold-blooded industrial spy." and "[Jun Ji Hoon] was married to Kang Ah Reum, but they divorced without Kang Ah Reum learning about his secret life as a spy." Thus, this pits her current husband against her ex-husband. One is a good guy who hides this fact, and the other is a bad guy who hides this fact. The OTP is with her and the *good guy*.
Someday or One Day & Meet You @ 1006 will definitely meet the caliber of the pre-2016 era, since after 2016, China up'ed its entertainment investment, and like South Korea, closed the Chinese market/viewership to Taiwan, over politics. This forced the vast majority of Taiwanese actors/actresses to follow the Chinese money, and join Chinese productions if they wanted to have the same successes as before. [Ex: Think of how Chinese TV canceled kpop girl group Twice appearances because Tzuyu deemed to have a political opinion in favor of the nation she resides in and her ethnicity instead of supporting "China", in 2016, by waving her nation's Taiwanese flag.] Others just, pretty much, left the international scene, and stuck to Taiwan. The exodus has caused a huge gap in the quality and acting of Taiwan dramas post-2016, with these 2, in particular, bringing back that nostalgic feeling.
For me, Taiwanese dramas are what truly started my Asian drama obsession.
I had watched a few South Korea movies on YouTube, 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant[2004]; Duelist [2005]; & Seducing Mr. Perfect[2006] but hadn't started in on any dramas. Obviously this is way before Viki & streaming sites, so YouTube or DailyMotion were the *only* places I could watch with subs.
I came across the Taiwanese drama, It Started with A Kiss [2006], almost an year after it was broadcast, subbed on a Dailymotion. I had to scrounge around for subbed episodes in chronological order, but managed to watch that and They Kiss Again [2007]. From there I became obsessed with watching Taiwanese dramas. I went back in time and found MARS, Why Why Love, & Devil Beside You. Then going forward I watched the epic Fated to Love You, & Autumn's Concerto.
By 2010, Viki had come on the scene, and since I was one of the first adults around that I knew to switch to an iPhone from standard cell, while everyone else was still using Blackberrys, I went on a app downloading tear, since at that time, data was UNLIMITED. hahaha. That's when I discovered the Korean dramas Secret Garden & Boys Over Flowers. From 2010 onward, I switched between Taiwan & South Korean dramas. It wasn't until all the hoopla happened, and more and more streaming sites popped up, that I started to, at first, add Thai dramas & Filipino dramas, and then, ultimately, Chinese dramas. Of course, since I studied Japanese, student exchange in Utsunomiya, & worked for All Nippon Airways, I'd watch anything Japanese when it was available. Sadly, except for animes, that was actually hard to do and find back in the day, after I canceled my cable tv service since my kids never watched TV, only stuff online. hahaha.
Between 2010 & 2016, good Taiwan dramas I watched were Love Buffet, Material Queen, In Time With You, Drunken to Love You, What is Love, Summer Fever, Love Now, In Between, Fondant Garden, King Flower, Just You, In A Good Way, Fabulous Boys, The Way We Were, Rock 'n' Road, Pleasantly Surprised, Aim High, Someone Like You, Our Times, Murphy's Law of Love, Marry Me or Not?, Bromance. This not all of what I watched, just what was some of the best stuff I watched.
Unfortunately, we'll still have to wait. Only 2 are actually "free" for viewing; only 8 episodes have been uploaded,…
I'm going to be honest here. On my desktop computer, watching this on the Tencent Video - WeTV-vip website at 1090p with near perfect English translations for the 2 *free* episodes with the committed timeframe of 2 episodes per day M-W each week, with 6 episodes *advance* for *vip* members, makes me legit consider spending the money for *vip*. =)
It's just that they hesitate on what they release to everyone outside China for so long, I'm not always confident they'll give us everything we want. I don't wanna pay then miss out anyway. It's truly the *only* reason I stop myself. !! =/
Good news, this is finally coming on WeTV (at least in some countries) - with full & proper subtitles - on November…
Unfortunately, we'll still have to wait. Only 2 are actually "free" for viewing; only 8 episodes have been uploaded, and the rest are VIP access only. =/
I would watch it on wetv.vip/en which is Tencent Videos English version video streaming site and they're the company that produced this. The full version is non-VIP so you can stream all episodes in its entirely, with English subs from there.
The Kim Jae Wook & IU actually looks really interesting along with the theme. After My Mister, we know that IU could actually pull that off really well. The age gap at their age isn't really that big a deal either. 37 to 27 doesn't seem problematic.
Number 2 & 3 in Cons is the reason I rarely ever watching currently airing dramas. 2 is likely my biggest reason. Any drama I watched live, I have been burned by bad endings 4:1.
Yep. Any drama made around that time with a Korean male/female actor was permanently shelved. They likely won’t be dusted off and aired at present, since production quality back then was cheap with cheap dubbing, and the C-Drama entertainment industry has moved on and improved their quality.
Per Yue365, the tentative schedule for this drama is sometime in 2022:
