I was really touched when shi ying told ning meng about helping her to succeed faster. my mentors told me those…
Oh my gosh…. I teared up too because I went through something similar when I was doing M&A work but nobody told me that!! Lol, but I tell that to all the people I’ve hired esp those that are really young and have potential…
I think in a way the FL is still considered lucky because she has a clearly defined goal/ambition since she graduated… think a lot of people only realise it after maturing/“wasted years”/ have experience, perhaps some never come to discover it in life at all…
The amount of Corporate Finance details, intricacies to the finance world, corporate etiquette etc etc is super spot on + realistic so far... It reminds me of my own journey as a graduate up until thus far…. Extremely impressed as I’ve never seen this in any other Asian series before (well at least none that I recall).
Highly suspect that the author herself was/is in finance…. So many moments were super touching and so real esp for a female Finance graduate assuming one didn’t go to a super prestigious university or have parents/family that are in finance….
I wish I met someone like Shi Ying in my corporate career, what she said is so true…. Wish I realised it when I was younger…
in love is sweet, he was trying to protect but also telling her why he doesn't want her in investment field, but…
Yeap! And I can tell you the backdrop of the story (except the romance bit lol) is all too familiar. It really does happen a lot in corporate… I’m surprised it’s so realistic. I also can understand why she didn’t quit immediately, I didn’t then either… at least not immediately…
This is a really strange drama….. the pacing and editing actually seems fine, it does keep me really engrossed especially with all the action scenes….. but until the end of episode 8 I still can’t figure out why and when the FL fell for the ML….. I mean I get when and why but her actions are a bit drastic for someone she doesn’t even know…
It makes no sense… it’s kinda like she decided in 1 millisecond I love this person and the very next minute (I.e literally 1 minute apart) I’m going to die for this person…. Uhhhhhhh super weird, I don’t find the ML thatttttt charming….
This is surprisingly really good, the pacing and flow is much better than Royal Feast although you can tell it looks like it’s the exact same production set as Royal Feast. Royal Feast started pretty well for the first 25% too, hopefully this series can maintain well until the end. 16 episodes of 40 minutes does seem a bit short, hope the ending won’t be too rushed…
2nd part is so addictive due to the heart wrenching moments between the 2 leads, wished I just left it until the end to binge-watched everything…. Totally regret it now…
Why is it so difficult to get a sensible and coherent plot with Mainland dramas…… this started off great for the first 20 episodes……. Ok maybe not great but quite good…. Towards the end it just… had so many unanswered questions….
Shitzzz, this will be cancelled… noooooo…. I was really looking forward to this…. Oooo maybe Netflix will still release it… like they maintained Word of Honor…
This series is super addictive and makes my heart skip a beat though the plot is so predictable and simple…. Execution is super important… totally reminds me of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?…
This series is so real, maybe not all relatable due to them being in the police force but they showed such a real and raw side… the storyline and especially the script is so….. real, practical and just reflects reality… one can only imagine the daily lives and family lives of police officers especially in dangerous countries…
The heart wrenching moments in this drama is so surreal, that goes for the unfairness. As much as it could be an exaggerated, it at least depicts the outline of the police force and politics in South Korea…
it’s sad that Season 2 is up in the air without further development… also no idea why they removed it from Netflix.
Wow. I’m impressed, maybe because my expectations were super low. Production quality is super high for a Mainland drama; acting of the cast has room for improvement but bearable.. think the supporting cast of each case are more natural compared to the leads…. especially the detective…

Didn’t want to watch it initially because of all the gaming bits but l’m glad I still remembered it and watched it this weekend…
Super duper sweet….
