I hate to say this, but get ready to be disappointed. In the novel Sheng doesnt stay mad for long, Hua is very good at apologizing. Also some things happen that make it that he can’t stay mad.

Sheng is supposed to find out during the earthquake, he connects the dots quite fast after he smells Hua his true Enigma (what Sheng thinks is his Alpha scent) scent. The chapter is so fun to read.

Blossom (absolutely adored that one), the Double, Are You The One (those 3 might not be classics), Love Between Fairy And Demon, The Untamed, Word Of Honor, Hidden Love, Falling Into Your Smile, Only For Love. Currently still watching The Last Immortal and Miss The Dragon. Paused Moonlight Mystique, Till The End of the Moon.

It’s not that I don’t like the FLs of the series you mentioned. I do like Zhao LuSi, but when I tried Love Like A Galaxy I just couldn’t connect with her character. And honestly I feel like with Bai Lu, the more I watch of her, the less I’m convinced of her acting. Only For Love was my first time watching her on screen, and I did like her in that one. But I’ve tried multiple of her series, I don’t know how to describe it.

I tend to watch more K-drama or BL.

Thats a hard one to chose from, I long Sheng his three piece suits, they look beautiful on him. But then again I have a weakness for men in suits. But I also love Hua when he is/can be Enigma, him dressed in black is just chefs kiss.

He didn’t just not use anesthesia to be able to watch Sheng. The pheromone modifier that he used to alter his pheromones, had 2 side effects.

“The first was that when administered in high doses of the modifier, it could cause transient pheromone disorder. Typically manifesting a pheromone overflow, fainting or shock. (Thats what happened when Hue fainted in bed, which caused him to stay on hospital, in episode 5 I think it was)

The second side effect, within 3 months of either injection or oral intake of the pheromone modifier, no anesthesia could be used under any circumstances. Otherwise, the body would suffer a severe systemic allergic reaction, potentially leading to death.

The research team of X holdings, had yet to find a solution to this second complication.”

I personally loved the series after ep 17, the FL was a lot less in the picture and the series focused a lot more towards the 2 (sometimes 3) male leads. Together they were powerhouses. They go through hell together, Yi Chen at some point gets to taste how it is to be a demon, and drops a lot of his prejudice towards the great demon. Both are willing to sacrifice themselves for the other person. They have a beautiful, yet heartbreaking backstory that crosses time and past lives. And the last ultimate fight, made me lose all my nails (I bite when I get stressed, anxious), but it was so worth it.

I found the FL just annoying, she did nothing else but cry and scream. In fights she was of no use, even though she is supposed to be a goddess. Even during the big fight in ep 16/17, she stays completely in the open, she doesn’t even try to hide herself. I had high hopes watching the first episode, where she at least seemed to have some fighting skills, but that went down hill fast.

The writers tried to make it a straight series but the goddess and demon had no chemistry. Most of the times the FL interrupted moments between the two MLs. Who had loads of chemistry together. I almost dropped the series after episode 17, for the same reasons as you. But thankfully somebody said it gets better afterwards, and so I sticked to it. But I watched the series for the bromance between the male leads, not for the (none existent) straight relationship.

I do think the story picks up more in the second half, the first half is very much different demons they get to know etc, it felt a bit incoherent. Second half has a good storyline that was well thought out.

But thats my opinion, in the end it’s your decision if you want to continue watching it 😉

True, but from what I understood, Hua couldn’t have a anesthesia because of that medication that made his pheromones be more omega, had as an side effect that - if put under anesthesia - it could cause an allergic reaction, possibly death.

Oh I know there are definitely different kinds of Omegaverse, when it comes to desire its quite tame. I’ve have read some very dark stuff, but I do think that a lot of Omegaverse stories do contain that storyline. But if you have any recommendations, I’ll always can use more novels to read 😉

Hua to protect Sheng, takes a rebar through the shoulder, which was falling towards Sheng. He has like pieces of wall falling on him while hiding Sheng under him (I think that will happen in the episode). He snaps that metal bar of with his bare hands, and then pulls it out or let’s it’s slide out of him.

He was in a worse state then Sheng, yet he wanted Sheng to be brought to the hospital first. The doctors in the hospital were like ready with bolt cutters to cut the rebar shorter before they would pull it out. So imagine their shock when they hear Hua casually telling them he pulled it out himself. But while the doctor are trying to get him into surgery, he stubbornly stays on the phone with Wenlang (who showed up to get them out of the house) because Hua wants to know how Sheng is doing. Even though Sheng has like a couple minor injuries, he’s hurt but not as bad as Sheng.

That chapter in the novel made quite an impression on me. To me that was the point where Hua really showed his love for Sheng.

I think from the pictures and the trailer, Hua probably won’t get that rebar in his shoulder, but thats my assumption, we will have to see.

I kind of hope they keep it like the novel, but from the looks of the trailer they are changing some things.

Sorry. I also really like the two secretary’s. Maybe there is an fanfic somewhere on the internet, we probably aren’t the only ones who liked them together.

2, the main couple Hua Yong and Sheng Shao You and the side couple Gao Tu and Shen WenLang. But the last two only really get their storyline in the extra chapters, their storyline is very small.

Nope not the only one 😉 I like both couples, but for me the main couple are more exciting and interesting. I’m not trying to be harsh, but the second couple is very much a generic, standard storyline, not just for Omegaverse but most BL series have that storyline. Damsel in distress needs to be saved by a big strong man, and the man has secretly harbored feelings for that person for years.

Yes they can. Hua Yong his cousin is an omega, who is I believe either married or in a relationship with an woman Alpha.

I’m at the last couple of episodes but I do have to say, what Chu Zhao is doing makes me feel disgusted by him. Like read the room, He Yan doesnt want you!

Hua is number 13, not 15. But I do agree with you that it was needed, Sheng doesn’t commit to any of the previous Omegas, Sheng treats them more as bed partners instead of them dating. Sheng has terrible commitment issues, thanks to the dad. Sheng also has kind of out dated views on “used” omegas. Hua changed that thinking with the supposed gang🍇, are his actions cruel, absolutely. But in the end, Sheng learns how to love, what love is, and gets to be happy with Hua and Peanut.
