Have you tried Spirealm and Tale of the nine-tailed. They don’t have wuxia but do close relationships between men/brotherhood. Spirealm is a bromance.

I honestly mostly feel that discomfort with the second couple. From the series and bts, I think the main lead is much more comfortable touching each other. Which doesn’t surprise me seeing as they have known each other for so long. Also the Alpha of the second couple (sorry I’m bad with names) this is his first series, which could also be a reason why.

FIY no hate towards the second couple, they are doing a good job.

Does it have to be Bromance? BL? Because otherwise I would recommend Love Between a Fairy and a Demon. I’ll think about it, maybe I can come up with some other series.

No it was stop himself from going to Sheng and doing what did in ep 9. In the novel he is being chained to the bed,m with his neck, arms and legs. In that room where he previously had his rut. He tries to get lose, he’s hurting himself, scratching, biting, bleeding, anything to get to Sheng. When he had his rut there was an event going on, which they showed in ep 8, Hua is watching Sheng on a monitor, he sees that girl flaunting herself at Sheng and Hua completely snaps, he breaks those chains like it’s nothing, I would recommend you read the novel.

I hate to say this, but every country has had 🍇 and SA in their series. This is not China being different, even though I do get hoping it wasn’t included or that it was changed.

Hate to say this but it’s better to just stop watching this series. There are better more “fluffy” Omegaverse novels out there. This isn’t really a nice Omegaverse to get to know the genre. Though the omegaverse genre is toxic and riddled with red flags, toxic, abusive behaviors. Those of us who have been reading it for a long time, know how bad and much worse Omegaverse can be.

Did you somehow miss the part where Hua kidnapped 32 of Sheng his ex’s? That was in the first 5 minutes of the series! That you do not read the synopsis of the book and didnt watch the trailer is not the series it’s fault!

Only thing I didn’t really like about episode 9 compared to the novel, was Shen not being drunk and Hua not being in a more secure room. In the novel Shen was just so wasted, he had so much to drink. And in the novel Hua his hotel room were he hides is done professionally. The chains were of military grade equipment, laced with pheromones suppressants. The chains aren’t just around Hua his neck, but also arms and legs. The entire room was made to withstand him escaping. In the novel Hua sees Sheng being with that lady from the previous episode, who keeps claiming she is his girlfriend (forgot her name). And Hua loses complete control because of jealousy, his rut, the mate fever, and the mate-seeking syndrome he suffers from. In the novel it’s very clearly described as him losing control and breaking out. I honestly wished the team put a bit more effort into that.

Agreed! It’s like the people who do not understand Dark Romance books, do not know what to expect, then get all pissy about the things they are reading.

I’m not good with horror, like barely any of it. My friends do not invite me on Halloween to watch horror movies for that reason, and I don’t blame them. I once screamed so load and much (because I was frightened) that the neighbors of my friend called the cops, because they thought somebody was actually being killed. I know this about myself, so I stay away from horror movies or series. I’m not going to start watching Khemjira, because I know I will probably not like it.

People who start this series think it’s just another BL, which it’s not, it’s Omegaverse, it’s just a different genre all together. Or they expect it to be the water downed version like Pitbabe. It’s just sad to see all these negative comments, especially seeing that the show isnt bad, it’s actually really good.

Maybe for those who clearly still not get it, I’ll repeat myself! The novel is about Hua and Sheng, the story about Shen and Gao Tu is flimsy, barely existing, they are a side story, thats get told in the extra chapters. This is a series based on the novel, so ofcourse the second couple is going to have barely any scenes. If you want more of Shen and Gao Tu, go read other omegaverse, it’s a very standard storyline. Weak omega falls for a arrogant Alpha, whose been in love with the Omega for years and years. Adjust your expectations of seeing more of Shen and Gao Tu, it’s not going to happen. Nong Jian already added more scenes for you guys, and if you still are not satisfied, go complain to Nong Jian. Even though they already answered the complains. The series has been filmed, edited and is now airing, it’s not going to be paused and edited to add extra (nonexistent) scenes.
