The screenwriter for season 1 has signed a contract for season 2.
But the screenwriter is busy with other projects at the moment, so the actual writing will take a while.
No news on casting yet. Possibly won't get word until 2024 if they intend to keep the same main cast (Kang Tae Oh is currently in the military).

Not cancelled. It has been filming at least since May (there was a controversy about the crew leaving trash at the film site). Korea just tends to be quite quiet about their productions.
