That is so true. In one of the drama discussions, FL got severe ptsd and is closed off to everyone. Then, some of the comments calling her bad and even says 'hate her' because she doesn't respond to ML's advance. It was even at the very beginning of the story. Empathy totally went out of window there, I was at a loss for word for a while.

We sure ain't lasting long with our power ranger mindset in those ancient times. lol

Ep 5-6. What a muddy water the leads are in. I actually like this calm yet tension filled vibe.

The script makes me feel the events are on an accelerated timeline though, not that I mind it that much. The real meaty stuffs are yet to come and I'll be content enough if they are done well.

I recently finished the novel. Pretty excited for the drama because Emperor ML and Official FL pair is not that common.

The trailer has scenes not included in the novel, so I'm sure there are changes. I won't keep my hope too high, as long as they keep the core dynamic, I would be happy enough. Burnt there too many times haha

Finished the novel. It was an interesting dynamic between the leads.

The blurb was not exaggerating, she really uses any means to climb higher, with a single goal, 'him'. haha

Trailer looks a bit different from the source material though, seems there gonna be changes. Anyhow, looking forward to watch this on screen.

I'm at ep4. There is nothing of that sort so far.

For me, it's a mixed feeling. There were both good and questionable moments. If you want to try a few episodes, I suggest to watch at least until ep3 and judge by then.

I believe he's supposed to be a youth who has yet to mature, sometimes childish even. He's the youngest and his family dote on him. I think Ding Yuxi is portraying his character very well here.

tldr: He somewhat does, but it doesn't matter anymore by that point.
