Snooker is just part of the connection between them. Romance is the main focus. It's totally fine to fastforward the competition scenes if you are not into snooker as long as you keep track of the developments. Just try to make it to their dating era, there are so many lovely moments between the leads.

They are still in pursuing era. By what we have seen so far, FL is already over SML.

I melted at that scene as well at how she frankly told ML her current state of mind to set the expectations right. She is such a sweetheart.

Some finds it slow, but I absolutely adore 'Amidst a Snowstorm of Love'. Very similar vibe with 'Shine on Me' as well, sweet and cozy. Zhao Jinmai is so good in such characters.

I liked ML's mother since LLTG (she's the Empress there). She's so elegant in every role she plays.

In that case, I think you might enjoy this drama. Even with amnesia, ML retains his smart, and scheme for his survival and to learn his identity.

In terms of shrewdness, both ML and FL are on equal footing imo.

Head servant besides the Grandma Rong.

Rong family (and in extension, its business empire) is a 'super' matriarchal circle. And, in the beginning, ML is literally a 'servant' in FL's family. So, you can guess.

Though, ML in his amnesiac state is no slouch either. I'm sure the dynamic will shift as the story progress.

It's a convenient plot device, so ain't going away any time soon. Better to get the amnesia early than getting it at the middle or towards the end. xD

Aside from the leads, I'm especially enjoying the maid in red's reactions to all the bullshit FL's suitors are pulling. lol

That's fair. Though, personally, I'm less critical about it. I do appreciate when a drama faithfully recreate a specific era, just like in Flourished Peony and its Tang dynasty costumes/styling. Then, I'm also open for some creativity if the production feels like it as well.

The only time I'll be very critical about costume is when a drama is set around specific real historical events.

Rong Shanbao's aura though. The actress really brought it out. First time watching her in a drama, and my expectations are pretty positive based on today's episodes.

Among the many good things, special shoutout to the costumes. Like FL's black outfit in ep4 the best so far, so striking and elegant.

Ep18: The parallel in Yusen's father and Zhaung Xu... despite the ending, the dad communicated his feelings and dared to take up his love's hand.

In legal view, Xiguang and that lady aren't related in any way since XG's father hasn't married that mistress yet.

For point A, I think that's surely the case.

For your point B, my impression so far is that Xiguang's mother seems to be also a real deal and Xiguang herself isn't that interested in her father's assets. So, even if her father cuts her off, most likely she'll be fine I think.

In the universe where ZX is the ml, that's gonna be like Lighter and Princess all over again lol (in terms of the vibe). I loved the drama, but ML surely was a piece of work.

I agree with the part about her being over 2ml. Because, she's very honest with her feelings and she already gave a 'go' sign to Yusen to let him know she's open for a relationship. If she's not over 2ml yet, she wouldn't do so imo.

Finally caught up. I absolutely love everything about this drama so far. Cozy and calm atmosphere, small and simple interactions between the characters, steadily warming relationship between the leads... it kept me a smile on my face throughtout the entire 17 episode binge watch.

Zhuang Xu is porbably one of the most detestable characters I've come across in a while, because of how close to reality this character really feels. He's just self absorbed in the misery of his own making, and everything about him really give me an ick.

For his increased screentime in recent episodes, I would like to think that the drama is not selling him as a good guy to the viewers. Instead, I think it is to draw parallels with Lin Yusen more vividly. Anyhow, I disliked him from when he gaslighted Xiguang in the form of an 'advice' in ep1-2. Nothing will salvage this character for me.

I'm usually a very tolerant watcher, but he managed to get on my nerves even before episode 1 ends. That's really something. lol

That was a really darn good first 5 episodes. Tan Songyun delivers as always. Really love her here as well.
