FInished till ep5. Not sold on the leads yet, but the battles scenes are really well done and main plot looks interesting so far. Will give it a couple more episodes.

This is a 'me' problem though. Arthur Chen rarely works for me and it's the same here... I don't know what it is about him that feels off to me.

I can certainly nitpick stuffs, but this is miles better than some of those adaptations out there so I can let things slide.

It depends on individual watcher, some likes him. Though, I watched it only for TXW. Her performance there is stellar as well.

It really started when he started investigating past cases. So, basically the very beginning of the story.

For the last leg of the story and the ending we got, I can totally forgive that bit of a weaker middle parts. This is totally a case of landing the ending squarely for me.

I loved the novel a lot and was eagerly looking forward to the drama. While it's not a 1:1 of the novel (which is unrealistic to begin with), this is a damn good adaptation in my book because it retained the essence of the source material this much with the episode limitations they had.

Also was hoping for Xiao Tian to do well in the drama, and she knocked it out of the park when it actually comes out. So happy for her that this has become such a boost to her career.

To be fair, they are at an overwhelming advantage in terms of numbers. So, there's no need for the big bosses to go out by themselves. Their underlings can take care of it.

EP38 - Fang Changyu asking "Who am I" to the drug influenced Xie Zheng and the way she let herself go completely after that... ah that was too good!

Ep37 - Wei Yan scenes and dialogues are few, but each one so powerful. Gotta love that man's aura.

Everyone was represented in ep 36. 10/10 episode lmao

What they should have done is extend the episode counts to 40, and properly build He Yan character. She's a General and the titular character, yet the amount of military stuffs cut out from her is insane.

If you haven't watched Moonlit Reunion yet, do so. She slays in every angle in those regal princess costumes. 🤩
