I don’t think so. The heat didn’t seem to keep up until the end. If it did or it broke a lot of records domestically, we might have seen something. I still think it did really well all things considered. Tencent didn’t want to put any effort into promoting this show if you think back on it but it debuted at #1 on Maoyan and held its own against multicast dramas. Looking at the schedule, it seems like they’re running a bit like IQIYI to clear inventory and just throwing dramas out. It also got hurt because Tencent didn’t have a deal with TikTok, which short clips do a lot advertising work.
However, this drama was really enjoyable for me too. It felt like a balm to soothe the wound that was SJFY and it feels like PXR is finally starting to leave GBMP’s prison. I’m still looking forward to My Talented Neighbour for the visuals. And I’m really interested in Dali Temple when it comes to DYX.

This looks like this is it from RoaTF. It’s a bit sad to leave Ji Man and Ning Yuxuan but I have to thank Peng Xiao Ran and Ding Yuxi for giving us the gift of the Jinyumantang pairing. Thanks to the rest of the crew as well. Such an excellent cast. And thanks to the crew and a half thanks to Xie Ze and Chen Minzheng (hopefully this is the last collaboration).Hope for the cast their roles get better and better and hope their shows in the future have the quality, production, and promotion levels they all deserve.
Thanks to everyone who gave this show love. It really started out behind but thanks to the likes, views, and comments, I think it’s gotten farther than anyone thought it would. I hope in the future we can see more pairs of acting schools getting together and greater breadth in the roles they get to take because as always, acting is king.

I thought I would watch an episode or two to relax yesterday and I ended up watching six and staying up until 2 am😩.

She keeps a lot of her moves under wraps. I think she’s still shooting a movie. She’s supposed to be entering in special skills training soon but not sure if it’s for the same movie or a different drama.

I’m not really sure how it can be a clone when it comes from a book. In the original book, the FML is indeed a money maker who creates a face cream business, and in the drama, the recipe Jiman creates is self-drafted after much research. It’s not a secret business skill.

Loling at the bad reviews from an obvious former colleague’s fan tho. It’s in the style they always insult her characters and with a shout out to them too as if people can’t tell it’s begging for food at other people’s table😂

It probably won’t come out until the show finishes airing or possibly not at all. I don’t think SJFY got a rating.

RoaTF’s twin storyline is to get this drama past the censorship otherwise I doubt they would have created it because it wasn’t in the original book. And, the storylines of these dramas are completely different from each other. Seems like the only similarity is both have twins…which isn’t a unique trope.

The main plot isn’t Lord Tan…It’s Jiman and Ning Yuxuan’s relationship with taking down Lord Tan as backdrop. This is a romantic comedy so the focus is going to be on the romance storyline. It all gets resolved at the end but this is ultimately a love story.

I kinda wished they’d keep that bit in with the messy hair. It was so cute.

It’s really a series you have to try for yourself.

I feel like she had a bunch of scenes cut. The show kinda hinted she was into fighting but should have given her more fight scenes if they were cool like that.

Besides PXR fans are the first to scold her. I just saw a 60 comment long thread telling her to be more assertive about her makeup demands the other day on Weibo. They’ll also give up the show in a heartbeat, so few are into actually protecting the drama.
