I feel like there might have been one because the closing ceremony had them in modern clothes but Xiao Ran had a modern take on Jiman’s hairstyle and was wearing regular clothes. Usually closing ceremonies are just whatever clothes they’re wearing once they finish filming.
I doubt we’ll get anything extra though. Tencent didn’t seem to care about this show at all. Apparently, it just advertised RoaTF for the first time on the main page on Thursday.
Also did you know the show does have Merch? I think they’re selling bracelets like the ones in the show.

Grown ups don’t need to trash others. Bai Lu can be a great actress and Til the End of the Moon can be entertaining without tearing down PXR or RoaTF. It’s annoying and poor for the ecology of MDL. Even the original poster made it clear that their post was about the character not the acting or actress. Let’s not poison the well by dragging down others.

It was definitely worth the wait no matter what score it gets. I actually want the two cut episodes. I have a feeling Sangyu is still alive in a village somewhere and that there was more to their married life. The twin babies in the flashbacks looked too well dressed to be the daughters of a bandit.

Jinyumantang is really the ceiling for pairings in my heart right now. I keep thinking back to the scene in Episode 33 when Ning Yuxuan hugs Ji Man in front of the spy and the acting there is just too delicate😩
The earnest and aggrieved expressions on Ryan Ding’s face when Ning Yuxuan tells Ji Man not to misunderstand was so cute and Xiao Ran just has the perfect expression of suppressed grievance when she answers “No”. Like Ji Man is happy to be coaxed but also really wants to be babied by Ning Yuxuan like usual but her pride won’t allow it. It’s like 2 seconds long but it’s so good. Acting really is king.

I felt this way about another drama back in December but now I feel like there will never be a couple as good as Jinyumantang. They’re too perfect.😭😭😭

I low-key want a second match too😭 I think they’d be great in a modern drama or another costume drama with a lot of conspiracy and plot. They just got to leave Xie Ze at home tho😂

It’s the character setting they don’t like if you read the post properly. They are not into silly white sweets which both Bai Lu’s character and Xiao Feng are. There’s no need to trash other actresses to prop up others.

I really like DYX looks. They’re very boyish and a little bit sweet. Plus he survived Director Ze’s angles of doom. You have to be good looking to stay good looking in Director Ze’s lens😂Never seen a director like this where the tidbits look better than the actual film😭
And I think I might make an exception for DYX. I’ve heard of his behaviour in trying to keep the fan ecology peaceful even sometimes going against fans and I really respect that.

I heard about DYX but hadn’t really watched him until this drama. He did a really good job of capturing NYX’s transformation. I really liked him and now I’m thinking of giving LYST a try.
If you want to check out Xiao Ran but don’t need subtitles, I recommend To Our Dreamland of Ice . It uses Xiao Ran’s own voice and has very little filter so it’s the best showcase of her skill. But outside of that, there’s also Jun Jiu Ling and Goodbye My Princess. I’d watch Goodbye My Princess last though because it’s very tragic and hard to shake off for some people.

It’s mainly because I’m an actress fan so I only really follow actresses, and I don’t think he’s starred with any actresses I follow before seeing him in this. I did try RoTaR but I only watched one episode so didn’t get to see much of him. But from this I think he’s very good both inside and outside the play. It’s rare to get a post 90s actor with machismo, good acting skills, and the ability to show character growth. Ning Yuxuan at the end is completely different in feel from Ning Yuxuan at the beginning just like in the book. Just like Nie Sangyu and Ji Man feel like two different characters despite being the same actress.
They both got a lot of grief for taking this drama on but I’m grateful that they both decided to branch out. It lifts up Cdramas as a whole when good actors leave the “serious” dramas for other genres and C-ent really needs more young performers challenging themselves.

Same. This was my first drama with Ryan Ding and I thought he did really well. I think he’s the best young actor Xiao Ran has worked with so far.
The fact that every screenshot of them in the show seems to tell a 1,000 word story is amazing.
They’re really a pair that have achieved each other. There were so many well done scenes in show…the scene in the rain, the scenes of leaving Haifang, the pier scene, and the last scene.
The best part I thought was around episodes 30-33. I know there will be comments about PXR’s acting because it won’t seem as emotional as Ryan’s but for me those episodes really caught the feelings of the latter stage of the book when Ning Yuxuan is in too deep and chasing Jiman but Jiman hadn’t given into her feelings yet and was the more rational of the pair. It really captured that sense of pitifulness for Ning Yuxuan.
I also love the message the drama sends. It never gets completely lost in love. They don’t forget or forgo their careers even though they love each other enough to do so. They both become better versions of themselves before getting together, and it’s really hard not to love that.🥹

I loved it. Really surprised by how much I loved it. It was really satisfying though I wished we got a little more of the couple. So many fans on Weibo cried over it yesterday or are crying over it today lol.
