Many people didn’t get the genre, the character archetypes, or that the plot was following a mystery route and wrote it off.

I actually like this sort of thing it is a bit of satire of the love at first sight trope and it reminds me of Royal Nirvana. Because she’s met NYX warts and all, there’s no Prince Charming to him. She likes him as a real person not as a dream. Even better she has her own money so if he never came correct, she never would have to stay with him either.

Too much has happened but it seems like the twin died and soon they will reveal how the two got mixed up by Gui Bai.

I think it’s fine to comment. People will feel how they feel. She was just responding in a playful way to an often repeated line, and happened to use that person’s tweet. If I had to hear or see how I had lost my beauty for 4 years, I’m not sure my answer would be so polite😂
Edit: As for the difference, it’s makeup, filters, and lighting. For the Xizhou arc she was pretty thin too. She actually looks best in natural sunlight with a decent light engineering and less filter. She shot To Our Dreamland of Ice right after this and looks great but that Director also had her in a lot of natural light with decent light engineering and little filter.

Seems like this week is gonna be full of drama! I can’t wait for episode 26!

Maybe it’s because I write and study storytelling but I don’t find the plot difficult. It just seems that the “plot holes” are mini mysteries that the screenwriter is slowly revealing. I just saw a still that probably explains how Ji Man was mistaken.

If PXR fans could find the answer to this question, life would be 1000x easier. I really dislike that person and their fans but I even prayed their newest show would be a hit so they would leave PXR alone. Instead their fans and fans of their new costar have teamed up. It’s so annoying😩 I’m looking at a lot of the scolding posts likes and I keep seeing fans from those two on the list, sometimes the same fans on multiple posts.

Actresses do get a lot of hate. She and her fans have been getting scolded for the last day or so but she’s also gained more fans and her post has a high for her like rate so who knows. Her fans have told the original poster to message them the bullies ID but there’s been no response since they doxxed themself.

Yeah, even the tweet she reposted, she was polite in only saying she was a different type of beauty now but people on Weibo are now saying she’s a cyber bully and she shouldn’t have retweeted the comment.

I like it. The trick about Ji man’s situation is to treat it as a mystery like the show does. There’s little clues here and there and I think the reveal is pretty well done for the type of show this is.

I think he’s a ship captain. Not a pirate because NYX says he is honorable.

The story is fine but I think viewers aren’t used to not being told everything at the beginning or they didn’t read the synopsis. The synopsis explains the situation and the show slowly reveals what happens but you’re supposed to treat it as a mystery. I think a lot of viewers have trouble with this.
As for Ji man, she’s being told that she lost her memory + she is Nie Sangyu. She doesn’t have enough memories in the beginning to refute this. And NYX wouldn’t let her leave anyway.

I think the uproar is because she retweeted someone’s comment. Even though she blurred out the details, people are trying to accuse her of cyber bullying saying you can search content. However, it’s the same method marketing accounts use and they never get accused of bullying so who knows.

Not every drama works for everyone. Everyone has different tastes so I understand. Even in China, there are people who don’t like this show.

Yeah she did lose weight. High Priestess I think is more beautiful than Xiao Feng to me. I like Xiao Feng but her period is not the most beautiful to me. It’s the Win the World/Challlenger League era and her looks now. To me it’s a plus that her face is malleable so that each new character is a new look/feeling. It makes each of her dramas feel fresh but C-netizens seem to think this is a disadvantage and it’s also used by anti-fans.

Yeah, it’s a very strange phenomenon. I’ve often wondered if some of it is a grief response from genuine passerby because watching Xiao Feng’s end is very intense for a lot of people. Like they can’t deal with the idea of Xiao Feng being “replaced”.
There’s also to add context to her response that apparently during one of the live broadcasts she did, there were a lot of rude questions. She apparently answered them politely as well.

It’s not so much that they hate the role of Xiao Feng but that they use the role as a weapon against her. When a new drama airs, these people will say she doesn’t look as good or act as good as Xiao Feng. They will say the new show makes them want to go back to GMP. Or that she only looks good in the East Palace. A lot of times they will say this just as her new show is airing so people think it or she doesn’t look good and it affects the show’s word of mouth. For this show it is particularly upsetting because the showrunners didn’t use Xiao Feng or GMP to market but there were still people trying to trap her into GMP and Xiao Feng. I have to admit that I don’t really follow other stars but I’ve never seen anything like the phenomenon she seems to be going through. It’s terribly sad to see someone’s honest efforts always disregarded because they started out good from the get-go.

Hope this doesn’t effect her popularity (she seems to have gained fans and the post got a lot of likes so it’s probably okay) but background knowledge for people who don’t know her is that a lot of anti-fans use Xiao Feng and GMP as a smokescreen to hate on Peng Xiao Ran and her new dramas. It’s essentially their calling card in addition to the other antics she’s been dealing with from the show for the last 4 years. I guess sis just got tired today when she made her post. The original poster ID was blurred out and her reply was pretty polite.

Also, for some strange reason after the post, the original poster whose details had been blurred out came out and doxxed themselves saying they had been scolded. Now fans of a former colleague are trying to pour oil on the situation to ruin her reputation.
