The chemistry!! And when she has him pinned to the wall, and the way he looks at her!! Ahh!! Haha.šš¤š
Been watching on repeat. Both of them are giving such serious bedroom eyes.š„¹ I remember hearing Ryan Ding had intense machismo but PXR has always been pictured as innocent so her look shocked the heck outta meš I hope it keeps this level of chemistry throughout the drama.šššš
Finally something that moves!!! These two are way too good looking in this tidbit and way too flirtatious š„¹š„¹š„¹https://m.weibo.cn/detail/4868985365467497
Jiman really didnāt come to playš They barely put make up on her and have her in mosquito nets but every second of this clip SLAYS.
Wonder if theyāre trying to catch the GMP heat in addition to Valentines?š§Tomorrow is the 4th anniversary…
To Our Dreamland of Ice is pretty high quality. It gets ignored because itās not in English but itās top tier. Iād actually argue itās a better performance than GMP in looks and acting but itās too short and costume dramas will always have more clout than modern ones. I actually like SJFY but really wished they hadnāt gutted Yeziās character with the editing. Otherwise, I think she would have been well liked too because she had so much growth potential. The key with GMP is that the director respects Xiao Feng as a character and thus highlights PXRās portrayal of such a heartbreaking character. Thatās why itās stayed in so many hearts. With the exception of ToDoI none of her other directors have taken such care.
Maybe this kind of storyline just doesn't fit you...I myself think the FL has developed so much and the actress…
I agree. Itās really rare to see as much development as we get to see in Xiao Feng for the type of character trope she is. The steady progression of her going from cheerful, proud, and carefree to depressed, trapped, and burdened was really on another level. It really showed the devastating effects of abuse on a person. It was so powerful that even to this day sometimes my heart aches when I think of what happened to Xiao Feng. Itās also strange that everyone seems to think that Xiao Feng is the love brain when itās actually Li Chengyin (directed at the threadās original comment). She isnāt the one trying to make the relationship work despite what happens between them. She actually knows what she āshouldā do as the Princess of a subjugated nation who brought the enemy to her home but Li Chengyin stopped her at the River of Forgetfulness, prolonging everything. Considering family honor and the hatred between the countries, what Li Chengyin did was always going to be a dead end between them. Xiao Feng understands this and basically uses Li Chengyin, knowing he loves her best at that moment to secure peace for her country while doing what pride tells her she has to do. What always breaks my heart about the ending is the last scene before she rides in between the two armies, she looks up and takes a deep breath. Iāve always felt she didnāt want to do what she did but felt it was the only way. The girl who was too afraid to drink medicine that tasted bitter grew into a woman who could put a knife to her neck to save her people.
I'm confused, because not only the series look like it has been shot ages ago, the make up of the women are bad,…
Judging from your profile, it doesnāt seem like this will be a series you will enjoy. Mileage varies but if you still feel like watching, itās important to watch the Directorās Cut because key scenes were cut from the original that affected some elements of the story.
Praying we donāt get played again but thereās supposed to be movement tomorrow!!!ššššA trailerššššš
Wonder if theyāre trying to catch the GMP heat in addition to Valentines?š§Tomorrow is the 4th anniversary so there will be lots of fans lamenting Xiao Feng about.
Itās been making the charts lately which is good. It still hasnāt released a trailer yet though and I donāt think itās been bought by an online platform either.
Got optimism for this show again. Just came from the newest version of Jun Jiu Ling which is directed by the same person. With the fixes, it is really good to chase. Considering this show also has a detective plot, if this show pays attention to editing shots and filters, it will also be really good to chase.
If you like Jun Jiu Ling and can watch it in Chinese, Heilongjiang Television is currently re-airing the show at 7:30pm Beijing Time and it can be streamed live. This version is the best so far. After changing the filters that ruined the Youku version, the cast looks better and all the micro-expressions can be seen better. Itās really the quality the show should have had. It actually captures the gentle beauty of Jun Jiu Ling making it easy to understand how 4 men fell for her.
Hi! Could you tell me what the movie is called? Also, do you know how long they will be filming?š
Iām not really sure why itās such a secret but she tends to be secretive with filming lately. Maybe itās because sheās had some hyped opportunities break down. It could also be because the movie hasnāt booted yet and sheās training for the role. For ToDoI some fans found out she joined the crew when her costar posted a pic of her at his birthday party.š From what I can gather, itās a movie and not a drama which is interesting because movies are very difficult to break into (even small roles) and PXRās circumstances according to marketing accounts donāt really suggest she should be able to get into the circle. Thereās also not been a single rumor about this which is also interesting because most young performers would blow this opportunity up to seem more popular .
Also, I donāt know if others know but when the official announcement was made, this show did a hot search (which…
I think rather than looking for a trailer, it might be better to watch out for the twoās Weibo posts. SJFY warmed up with some photoshoots. DitSB might do the same.

Also, I donāt know if others know but when the official announcement was made, this show did a hot search (which is a form of marketing). I think it was a hot search about the pairingās chemistry if I remember right. At the time it got a lukewarm reception. That might have disincentivised heavy marketing too.
I think if thereās marketing for this drama, itāll probably air near the airing date like Jun Jiu Ling or Shining Just For You. If you look at it from the view of the producers, itās more cost effective. Itās making the charts with just a few posters and no trailer so why spend extra money? Low expectations/lower presence also sets it up to be a dark horse. Also, apparently this show has a license to be aired on TV which is interesting. Could also be the reason the show took so long to get the license. TV shows seem to have a higher threshold when it comes to the censorship review.
Absolutely!! šš....That is if they don't censor and edit it to death. Haha.š¤Ŗš
I donāt think itās a bad thing but the original author of thebook did say the dramaās script was completely unrecognisableš . It was probably to make the ML more palatable though because a lot people really dislike the character and the book because of his behaviour + the harem antics. Also , isekai is banned so the original dynamic of the FML making decisions with anotherās body has to be changed, hence the twin plot line. With Chinaās new unspoken no gray characters policy, I think Jiman isnāt going to be as calculating in the same way as the novel but she should hopefully be as smart. As for being Mary Sue-ish⦠thereās a strong possibility that Jiman doesnāt go through as much as she does in the book. PXR doesnāt seem to want to do stories where the FML suffers a lot and in the book, Ji man goes through a lot. I want to hope the depth of character might be made up for by PXR also playing Nie Sangyu but the director is the type who likes cartoonishly evil characters so I donāt know how compelling sheāll be. The good news is the show has only lost 2 episodes of content. It gives me hope considering part of the major faults of Jun Jiu Ling and Shjning Just For You, was the deep episode cuts.
Yes! I hope so too! February is a good month, hopefully we will get definitive information about this drama's…
ššš Iāve literally been waiting all morning for them to drop something and didnāt even see this. This drama team either has no money for marketing or theyāre purposely trying to be a dark horse. I think itās the latter, which may be a smart move. Iām not sure about Ryan Dingās side but itās been a circus any time PXR airs a costume drama and maybe by giving no expectations, this drama might avoid that and get a fairer evaluation.
Does Seven Auspicious already have license for broadcast? If not, I will put my trust in March airing. š Donāt…
This is what IQIYI has been doing recently and itās one of the reasons for its popularity and views level. I donāt really get why Youku and Tencent grind dramas if theyāre ready. Especially in this environment when a drama being able to air is a success. Basically netizen opinion is Tencent screwed up by going traffic actors only, investing too much in BL, and not investigating the obvious quality issues of S and S+ dramas looking no better than the A or B dramas of other platforms. Youkuās problems is that itās too cheap, has ridiculous marketing, and doesnāt promote dramas. If it has a successful drama, itās thought of as a fluke. IQIYI seems to the only major platform thought to air quality dramas consistently.
I hope it keeps this level of chemistry throughout the drama.šššš
