There are a few, and they range from big to small, but most get resolved over time. I don’t know about the drama but even if it’s tied in with the court or martial arts world events, a lot of it has to do with learning to be in a relationship that works for the both of them.

Even if she did, I don’t think her reviews have as much weight as they used to in the past. A lot of people aren’t into the negativity anymore. Plus, there’s the fact that she often doesn’t like the more accessible shows that overseas viewers engage. Honestly, she’d probably have more room for growth if she solely focused on explaining the history , culture, and costumes.

It’s the definition of acting skills lifting the script. The veil lift scene was really gorgeous. And I think it’s all that is needed to understand the couple. Ranyi’s demeanour in previous scenes has been showing he’s obviously distressed and the veil scene shows why he cares so much.

There’s been complaints over lack of foreshadowing but I think this storyline is serving as a vehicle for how demons are different and how the rules of society are double standard. It’s not so much about how they fell in love or their day to day as a couple but that Ranyi loves Miss Qi and how his demonic thought processes enact that love and how human society rejects it.

You can request shows. I’m not sure if it works though I think this drama would do really well on it.

It’s good. It has a slow start but really picks up from episode three. Don’t worry if it seems a lot is going on at first, things will be revealed later on.

I think the comedy is to be more appealing to those who aren’t into GJM works. He has a big fanbase but he also has a reputation for a “gloomy” tone and that puts some people, myself included, off. The first three or so episodes are often the most important to a drama’s success so the show wants to capture as many watchers as it can, especially in this really cold environment. What the comedy in the beginning does is lighten the tone so it doesn’t feel so gloomy from the start. It might reach regular levels of GJM gloom later but it will be an acclimating process. The comedy, especially in the ML, also gives a sense of surprise and the unexpected which may also keep the audience. In fact, this type of character and the structure of the story feel very close to anime. Sometimes, it has a Demonslayer vibe but from the perspective of the demons.

And that’s fine but some don’t like the comedy at all. This was a possible explanation for it. Comedy is touch and go in general but this isn’t the worst I’ve seen. To me it lands more than it doesn’t so I don’t mind a few awkward moments.

She is performing really well. I really loved her interaction with the rabbit demon.

Even the flashback approach during the first episodes feels like how they do it in anime.

You do know that filters can be applied individually right? Anyway, it’s very rare that an actor with skills becomes suddenly unable to act- especially under GJM. Having seen something similar happen before, I will believe what I believe to be true. If you want to believe it’s fillers no one can stop you👍.

You’ve never seen powerful filters. I’ve seen really decent actors get criticised for lack of acting or surgery only for a filter less version to be released and it was like night and day. I mean we’re talking tears, shaking, brow movement just wiped out.
Also micro-expressions can only be done by actors with a lot of facial movement and control so I’m not sure where the “can’t move the face” bit comes in. They usually get wiped out because they’re very slight or delicate movements. And I’m not a TJR fan but I’ve seen his photos floating around and he hasn’t had anything done.

😭She’s supposed to be sickly and the way her dad talked about “wasting” money on her and how he didn’t care if she lived or died -he just wanted the betrothal gifts-just sounded awful. I was sad the deception demon died too. I wanted her to be good sisters with Wen Xiao too😭

Feels like they’re taking the shonen anime track tbh. This is how a lot start. Then they gradually become grimmer.

It’s the filters. Filters can wipe micro-expressions completely out.

I feel bad for Miss Qi. A demon is terrorising her at night and her dad is trying to sell her off to pay for her brother’s marriage. Can she run off and go be best sisters with Wen Xiao😭
