It is the angtsy love-hate type.... ML is like a father lover: love you but won't express it, and secretly tries to make FL more upset at him, show her how the real world works, so she can grow & strengthen up

Prince Bo is the Beast in Beauty and the Beast... but, the Beast is actually more adorable than him. But I'm still enjoying this drama, it has so much meme potential and the scenes with Jichong after his true identity is revealed, are sooooo swoonful ^_^

Ow.... you might want to reconsider if you want to proceed. Ep 14 n 15 are quite bad.... and it get worse later. This drama is "I love you but I cannot love you, yet you love me w/o knowing the truth, so I do everything to destroy your love for me"...

Lol...... It is better not to think on this too seriously. Becos this drama do not take itself seriously. In the early ep, when Xing took Wolfie to town, there's a scene between him and some stallholders. The stallholders defended Wolfie. From this we can guess Wolfie should be at a kid's age, becos no one would protect an adult who did not pay and spoil all your goods, right? (maybe production didn't hv enough funds n couldn't get young actors to play this part)... And from the interactions between Wolfie and Xing, they should be of the same age, maybe 2 or 3 yrs difference. But then 8 years later, Xing was receiving alot of marriage proposals. In those days, the marriageable age for a woman of upper class family, is around 16 yrs. So she has been rejecting proposals for a while... maybe she is 18 now? But if she were 18, that would mean she was only 10 yrs old when she spoke to the King, and convinced the King on the real murderer w/o having to produce evidence..... Maybe she was a few years more older? But by 24 yrs old, an unmarried woman would not be receiving so many marriage proposals...... >.< I lost a few brain cells trying to figure this out n there is still no conclusion XD XD

Well base on the online comments so far, it was for romanticizing some war scenes? Some viewers submit a complain to the authorities and so it got pulled off-air

I...... have some issues with Darren as the ML. This role requires a lot of "talking with the eyes" and he ain't exactly strong in this. I was thinking Zheng Yecheng or Mark Chao might emote better, but they are too pretty for this role. Darren is handsome in a bad boy way, which suit this role.

1st half of the drama is really good-- fun script, good fight scenes, great comedy and good acting. 2nd half... you need to put the logical part of yourself away to enjoy it. There is nil character development in everyone, and it ended where it has started. Everyone went through so much, suffered alot and risked their lives to realize: it is still best to spend the rest of their lives on a secluded island -_-"

I do not have mango tv subscription, not sure which version it is showing. But how many episodes did you watch? The TV edition is 42 and DVD is 40. The DVD edition has the part on what happened to Grandpa Guo, while TV edition cuts that. Duboku had both editions earlier, but it has taken down the TV edition... Kanba still has both editions. I'm wondering why TV edition has 2 extra episodes, as the duration per episode is almost the same for both? But it is tiring to rewatch everything -_-"
