Ah..... I'm so captivated by the storytelling, dialogues (this is 1 of the better cdramas for dialogues) and art direction, and delighted with the good acting. The mystery cases are not that difficult to guess whodunit, usually several mins before it is revealed, you would have been able to deduce who it is, and I like this! Not the fanciful quick cases where I haven't even figure out how or why and wham-- solved. One of this drama weaknesses is some characters take actions/decisions that are "out of character". In the earlier split personalities case, that doctor had behaved out of character too....

We do not know as drama is still airing. This is loosely base on a Chinese novel and it is uncertain if it would follow the novel's ending or?? What is for certain, is Jiang Nan Sun is telling their story from her pov. But who is she telling the story to, no idea...

I haven't really look at the poster.... Now that you mention, I think this image looks like the cover of a novel. A typical chinese novel. Why the creative team decide on this poster that looks like a drawing... the implications are lost on me

Agree! I love the opening song too **hearts** Ni Ni is a very good actress, and her experience in theatre really helps her dialogue delivery. Shi Shi is good too, she plays the elegant, proud rich girl well

Oh, don't skip!! How Suo Suo handles the situation when she realize who Ma really is, is good! I enjoy every scene. And you will miss how she get the job and understudy from the sales director (or senior manager). Nan Sun also has some interesting developments...

I would watch the drama if it is the other way around:- Genius female programmer, who is icy-cold and arrogant. Good-looking ditzy male student develop a crush on her during internship. Did his best to get a permanent position in the company, then realize her team is females only. So disguise as woman to enter her team.....

Dear Missy focus more on the relationship between the 2 FLs (with plenty of GL innuendos), and even interfere into each others' love lives. While My Best Friend's Story focus on their individuality and characters, drama introduce both leads' families so we get to understand why they are this way... It is interesting as a character like Suo Suo is usually a supporting character, that 1-dimensional foxy bitch (in other dramas) but here, we get to see how she would reach that stage and sympathise with her.... lol

I have seen the initial 4 eps and this drama reminds me of another drama earlier this year:- Winter Begonia (except the GL feel is significantly less than the BL in WB). Similar to WB, we are quickly introduced to both leads' backgrounds and families, what they like/dislike, what they want from life. If you have tried to watch WB and couldn't get into that, you probably wouldn't be able to get into MBFS too. And look at the title, "my best friend's (life) story"... For me, I like this drama and the pacing. I tend to do other work while watching dramas, but this actually held my attention. I like the realist style of storytelling, the way the director and script slowly take us into the world of MBFS. Plot is not this drama selling attraction, but the characterisations and make up of each character is the focal point. It isn't a must to have exciting plot, if you prefer that, you should check out The Confidence instead ;)

Nope, this will more likely be "best pals supporting each other through life". The photoshoot is for commercial reasons (and maybe to push up viewership). If you are watching for GL, better to quit... If you are watching for good acting, you have come to the right drama ^^

Forget about the original material and just focus on the drama. Whenever a China drama puts up "adapted from xxxx" I read it as "inspired by xxxx". The directors and scriptwriters do come up with good dramas, although it went way off point from source material

Sadly I have to agree that both actresses are not convincing as fresh grads, they exude feminine maturity which young women wouldn't have....but story should get over this part soon. For me, I'm watching for Ni Ni. She's a phenomenal actress. Have you seen that meet-father scene at ep 3? If that touch your heart, imagine the kind of acting delivery in the later part....

I thought of her too, as 2 that died are directly linked to her... but she seems too young to be involved in Yuan Bu Jie's mass murder case? Feel more like someone who wants revenge on the survivors of the prison fire and on Bai family has done it, maybe Bai Ling Xi might be killed soon.... as she is the last Bai? -_-"

Thanks! Same person who rec DD is also rec-ing Case Solver :) but I'm also watching Forever Love, waiting for My Best Friend's Story (releasing tmr) and thinking if to watch The Confidence... It has been dropping alot of "tempting" clips on weibo
