I forgot to comment:- your review is very well written!! ^^ And I do agree it feels like the drama did a touch-n-go on the social messages. But, in a way, can viewers handle it if they go into details on each case?.... I'm still reeling from the realism of this drama, quite alot to take in, lol! Yup, I saw 13 Reasons Why. While watching this drama, I was thinking it is like Horizon Tower + 13 Reasons Why. And hey, what other similar dramas can you rec? Whenever I watch a mystery suspense drama and check its MDL page, you have been there ^^". I should probably check your completed drama list XD
Hi! I always love your reviews! I have to disagree here though... this drama wasn't being overly ambitious. It isn't concern with exploring 'why' but more of 'how' to suicide and what happens when you do. Feels like this drama's intended audience is for those who are thinking to suicide: the emphasis on the accuracy of graphic representation in the corpses, and that scene of eating noodles that a loved one has just cooked for you and attempting suicide next... It does not seek to understand what drives a person to suicide, but on the effects of suicide. About that father.... Tbh 50% of people get married hoping for a life change and improvement from current circumstances, only a lucky few find their soulmates and marry to bring love to the other... So the father's selfish words, is only the truth that society seldom speak of. And that unsatisfactory ending, there is a season 2 in the works ;)

You need till ep 2 to get sucked into the story?? It took me only 15 mins, and I was "this is * expletive* good". The realism is tooo good, can tell they spent alot of efforts in the 1st corpse. The blood work (color) is sooo realistic... I never tot this is possible in cdramas becos of censorship laws. Now I'm pumped up for more Taiwanese dramas.

Lol, thank you! You should give this movie a watch actually... although it is youth oriented, the cinematography and art direction is well done. Zhou Dongyu is great (as always), and Jackson Yee proves he has much acting potential :)

That is what happened with AC Prince. Even on wedding day, he probably still wondered if Suo Suo loved him? And the bgm..... Scriptwriters couldn't be more obvious that the marriage would fall apart

Happy you see it through! Jus a little spoiler: watch ep 15 alone. Although there are plenty of plot holes and unrealistic points, the acting is sooo good. Nan Sun will soon "exceed" Suo Suo in work scenes, and Suo Suo's career will reach stalemate.... Plot is very fast pace, everyone does not stay in the same situation for long.
With NiNi and Liu Shishi, I was soo sure that this'd have a huge traffic,... but it seems way more dreary than…
Plot is good, problem is the writing... much can be improved on. Feel like I'm watching a drama highlights and not the real drama. We don't get to see why X would be attracted to Y.... those "growing affection" scenes are neglected here. But hey, Liu Shi Shi & Ni Ni definitely have more supporters.
