Oh I see! Thanks for telling me! I don't know the language I just read about it somewhere so believed it haha…
Lol! You should watch this, only need 2 hours. DO NOT read comments or reviews at MDL prior to watching, this is so short, you would get unnecessary spoilers instead...
The Chinese title 罪夢者 means "a sinful dreamer". Combine this together with the English title, I'm getting the vibe of 1) a sinful man who once had good dreams (wishes) for his life 2) unreliable narrator.... Is this correct?
You know what, this is quite possibly my favourite among all the reviews you've written. Meaningfully written…
Wow thanks! Hope you would be interested to check out this drama, it is available on HBO Max and Apple TV. I haven't given away much of the plot ;) this is the story setting in ep 1.

I did start on Someday or One Day early last year, but got distracted by sth... I think only watch ep 1 ^^" Should get back to it! Its Chinese title means "Want/Hope to See You". Lol, so it becomes "Hope to See You Some Day" mmm, not as meaningful as the others. I am watching Nowhere Man now ;P this is the story of a gangster in the '90s, how he ended up in prison.

Haha, I should probably check out your watched list ;) FYI, The Victims' Game is another good example. The Chinese title actually means "who is the victim?". So before starting the drama, I already have an idea that the victims would not be who they seem to be, and there is a plan behind the deaths.... Taiwan dramas' titles are so meaningful, sigh!

Oh, I didn't know! Thought you understand some Chinese ^^" Anyway do check out The Victims' Game! The plot structure and storytelling is quite similar to this drama, although it explores darker and sadder stories :)
Hi! Agree with your review, except about the English title. I'm not sure of past Taiwan dramas, but I'm noticing a trend in Taiwan dramas titles. Almost all of its' English titles are not direct translations of the Chinese titles (罪梦者 Nowhere Man; 谁是被害者 The Victims' Game).... And if you really look at both of the titles, they are both appropriate to the story. "The World Between Us" is an elegant way of referring to the differences between you and me. Which, includes the question: just how different are you and I, if I am evil, are you completely innocent?
this was my first chinese drama and i really enjoyed it! if anyone has any Chinese drama recommendations that…
..... How about Miss S? Set in republican era, it is about a female private investigator (super-rich, so her dresses are really gorgeous) partnering with police detective to solve complicated murders. It is only available at HBO Go
You should check out Legend of Fei-- the shooting locations, special effects, etc feels very 90s too.... Maybe…
ahhhh.... I know you are watching LoF ^^" actually didn't notice who post this comment, thought to check out Deer and Couldran MDL page and saw this comment and just reply at it XD
Watched the first 10 minutes of ep 1 and I thought I time traveled back to the 90s. Can't believe they still make…
You should check out Legend of Fei-- the shooting locations, special effects, etc feels very 90s too.... Maybe 'twas the year to bring back the 90s -_-"
I see the same light-handed treatment at ending in other Taiwan dramas too. It's like a distinctive Taiwan scriptwriting style. While China directors love open-ended or abstract endings, Taiwan is the "everyone is well" at the end ^^"
Thanks for sharing you thoughts, I love hearing from other viewers. I guess I had not focused on the how to aspect…
Hi PBG, I'm starting on The World Between Us :) another TW drama (this is with HBO). 1 ep in, and I'm thinking to switch from watching China productions to Taiwan, lol.... I have seen The Danger of Her, like it too. Ancient Detective... I had tried it 3 times ^^" but the lack of chemistry in the cast... I couldn't really get into it... hv plan to watch Day & Night, thanks for the rec on Iris ^_^
muito bom!!!fiquei sem fôlego diversas vezes enquanto assistia... e quando terminei, fiquei muito reflexivo...…
Used Google translate to understand what you typed.... Agree with the last line: "We should not abandon those who suffer, much less give up (on them), but with love and care (we can help) to restore hope!"
I felt really annoyed and disappointed at the end when they added in the detail that Li Ya Jun was from Indonesia!…
True, that last ep was quite odd, everything ties up too neatly.... The immigrant part I can ignore, it has managed to get approval on the portrayal of police is already quite an impressive feat. If this was made in China or Hong Kong, the image it portrays of police and more than half the stuff would not have gotten approval.....
