I don’t think this is a plot hole. Speaking for myself, I am use to stories where one must remain a virgin in order to keep their powers, but I think since this is a different culture, the same is not true. It must be well known, too, that Shamans can have families and find love in Thailand, but it might be different in other places. It’s like with monks. In Thailand buddhism and in Catholic/ Christian religion , they most be celibate. In Japan, however, they can get married and have families.

I think it’s supposed to be for clarification. That same thing happens in Korea where we can hear a character/idol say hyung/noona/eonni but the subs use the character/idol’s actual name. I hate it more when the subs add more to what is actually said. When Jet got flustered at Chern he clearly says only his name but the sub adds “stop it, Chern.” It over clarifies which is annoying but what can you do? At least we get these shows subbed. don’t know what I would do if we didn’t. it’s so nice to be able to enjoy this and have access to these shows like we do. Wish there was one app that had every Asian show ever made on it (I would pay good money for that) but I am happy. (*๓´╰╯`๓)o
As i thought! Grandpa Shamen did have a family which I can then assume he loved. So the master can have a family and fall in love too. So why, then, can’t he love my cutie pie, Kham?! i think its coming. Its really slow getting there but i think when it does get there it will be so good! i love it when love takes the time to develop because then we feel it more.
So I liked ep 7....however. I think they could have done more with Ramphuen. I would have loved to see her and her servance physically do something. Like during that wonderful performance, I would have had her servants surrounding the place. Maybe have them dotted throughout the background, ready to start some hell, but they are surrounded by the Holy Men and taken down one by one. That way, we get more out of this scene.
That being said, I swear this show makes me more and more curious about Thailand and its culture. I would love to see someone who knows the culture very well watch and review this and explain things in it to us international fans. That performance honoring those Holy Men was so Juliet Art worthy. Props to the dancers and the crew and the show itself for that.
