I didn't watch Hidden Love but in clips I seen Sang Yan as a playful, easy-going fun loving guy who loves to tease…
If you watch HL, you will realize that he is that way only with his sister or close friends. Other times he do come across as cold, narcissist, serious and mature type of person. Moreover, the one in TFF is his real personality, the one his lover sees. HL is from the pov of his sister so she thinks he is silly kind of man.

Sang Yan isn’t unrealistic or pathetic he’s one of the most understanding and emotionally mature male leads…
Unfortunately, if a ML is patient, have emotional intelligence, understanding, empathetic they will either be called simp, a doormat or how he is in a toxic relationship.

After so many days i figure out that I love how people never commented back to me after I state that SY live a…
He literally has one of the most perfect life. A wonderful set of parents, a cute little sister, great friends, wealth that allowed him to open a gastropub as big as Overtime. Above all, man has looks, IQ and EQ. Whatever he does, he naturally excels. He didn't deserved the heartbreak, not at all but it was for him to grow up from a reckless teenager.

People don't realize why SY even love WYF when the director literally cleared it out in the very first scene of first episode. WYF is someone with high morals, soft spoken, gentle and caring. Even when the whole world hurt my girl, she didn't turned bitter towards it or life. She is still the same kind soul he once fell in love with. Not everyone falls for sunshine outgoing extrovert girl. SY just fell in love with her because he could see how pure her soul is.

It is not just because she is beautiful physically. She didn't even thought twice before going and helping the people who had their car crashed. She is like him in so many ways, difference being he is cold and she is gentle. She is resilient. After going through what she did, she still managed to stay sane, made a life of her own. Just because she is not someone who cannot share her thoughts out loud and she ran away to HK, it doesn't make her toxic. She genuinely loves SY and in their relationship, except for that running away arc, she never did anything to hurt SY. Infact she always tried to do her best. You can just know what she thinks about SY with the way she seek comfort in him even in her sleep.

In the past, she really had no other option. Teenage feelings are fickle. She couldn't just pass on her trauma to SY who had never seen the darker side of the world. He might have done something worst or his feelings will become a burden on him. You can't expect a teenage to deal with someone who has so many issues. Loving someone with baggage requires a lot of strength which SY clearly showed.

When you have a stable life, you are privileged to make love your priority but when life keeps throwing you under the bus, people around you makes you feel miserable, when you are so vulnerable, love is the last thought you have in your mind.

Their relationship is one of the wholesome and best relationships I came across in drama world. They don't usually say it out loud to each other, but the emotional connection between them, the understanding is something really beautiful. This is what love really is. Sometimes, holding on is hard but it is worth it.

I was surprised initially seeing the engagement with trailers or even those tentative dates some twitter cdrama melons kept posting. I didn't knew people were anticipating it so much. It might be the first cdrama of 2025 to get this level of engagement from International audience. It was also because it was Sang Yan's story from HL. SY was such an intriguing character in HL.

Thankfully it did well. Big kdrama fanpages are also promoting it, so more people are noticing it.

Yeah. The reason they sold the streaming rights to Netflix. Seeing WIFTY and HL success abroad, they planned it beforehand. It was also reported that after the release of this drama, the number of youku app downloads have increased internationally.

Even Cnetz knows douban is not reliable. No surprise they considered overseas ratings because they had targeted International market with TFF even before its release and overseas data is mainly of neutral audience who really enjoyed show.

Lets watch it tomorrow and then when the cast will bid the final goodbye, treat it as it ended. What's say?
We really don't. We can just watch the drama again or visit this page.

This is a fantastic comment. Atp I thought all the adaptation did was butcher the novel given the comments from…
They didn't butchered it. Infact In my personal opinion, it is one of the few novels which is adapted really well and makes you go through too many emotions which is quite rare. You will feel happy, sad, angry, disgusted, pitiful, empathetic, giddy, fear. The romance at times will make you throw your head and blush like a fool and the next second, the reality will hit you hard. It also has its realistic touch in the way WYF is and her traumas. The actors did a fab portrayal. The FL's acting during that --- scene, you can literally feel your body going numb with fear and disgust.

i hope when drama ends you can write a review for this and add all these great points you mentioned here 💖
I just felt that even if she wanted to leave, she should have done it in a better way. Maybe she was not strong enough to big goodbye face to face, so she could have poured out her feelings in the letter but then WYF is not someone who can just pour out her feelings.

This is such a great take, and I completely agree with everything you've said—especially the point about how…
I know. Until you will read the bonus chapter, you won't really know what SY had gone through but I liked the way they made us prepared from the first episode that it is going to hit harder rather than throwing it at us. SY's life in university was highlighted. How he was so broken after that heartbreak, we could feel it and not from the POVs of WYF or someone else. But from his own.

I understand your point. For viewers who haven't read the novel and are watching the drama without comparing it…
I don't have a say on ratings and I don't care about ratings too. I compared it to the source because I wanted to highlight how they made positive changes in scripts, because people are too focused on negative changes. I personally dislike the negative changes, including the increase of SA towards the FL. But watching it really warms up my heart. The acting, cinematography, povs of leads, I really liked it. Watching both the characters happy, WYF trying to come on terms with her past feels healing to me. Opinions vary with people so people might not agree with me and I am completely fine with it.
