I am on episode 4 of Devil Judge. Not gonna lie: I started it for Ji Sung, intrigued by the bromance. I *love* criminal investigation shows, and can tolerate dark plot twists, but they have to make sense... and I am so stressed at work right now, the last thing I need is a show that will make infuriate me with unnecessary makjang. People who have watched it -- should I continue? (Please use spoiler tag.)
This is obviously a marketing campaign by a Japanese e-commerce site, but I want to hug the writer for turning this is a chance to tell really good stories about people who are at a crossroads and need a sign that they're okay.
I was literally thinking in Ep 9: The only kdrama trope missing here is a wrist grab and noble idiocy. There's the wrist grab. Please, please, please no noble idiocy. PLEAAASSE.
I know education is crazy in SK and everything, it's more or less the same here but did Chief editor really said…
It was probably an exaggeration for comic/plot purposes, to make the guy look like this super-successful overachiever (or a scammer). That costs more than a US Ivy league school like Harvard.
Binged all 9 episodes in a little over a day. The whole cast is adorable. Na Young Mon's "thoughts/insights" at the end of each episode brings back This is My First Life vibes. Jung So MIn's voice so soothing... Yeo Eui Joo fangirling over Gong Yoo was funny, because of Coffee Prince.
On episode 19, and I think I would've liked this a lot more without the romance element. Would've given more time to develop the bromance and unlikely alliance between people with different backgrounds and personalities.
I hated the 2nd FL so much that the only way I could finish this drama was to fast forward whenever I saw her face on the screen. Otherwise, this drama was just lovely.
I think the scariest thing about this drama is that it's based on criminal cases/problems that really happen in real life. And I think everyone, from the writers to the actors, are going put of their way to portray the stories in a way that honors the real victims.
I can't binge this because my heart breaks for both the characters and the people behind them
I would totally love a spin-off drama with the brother, with cameos from the whole cast. And can I give snaps to how the leads talk about their feelings and resolve their concerns like actual adults? Such a refreshing change from dramas that drag out over misunderstandings that could have been resolved with one conversation.
