I really enjoyed this. It felt like those old school kdramas where I could turn off my brain. Jisoo did well for this role, and so nice to see Seo In Guk in a non angsty romcom again.
Must say, BOD as an app accurately depicts why I watch asian dramas😅 Adulting is hard. Sometimes i need shows like these, which are silly and full of tropes, but hit just hard enough to make it relatable but soft enough to escape from what actually happens in real life.
For some reason I just couldn't get into this. I admired the prod value (like camera work and editing) but got bored by the story and annoyed by the characters. Such a shame, I was really excited for it. I'm sure others loved the show , but it just wasn't for me.
All the unnecessary shouting in the first 15 minutes BEFORE they went into the hospital. And most of the characters were so obnoxious that If I were a ghost I'd be irritated at them too.
The Season 01 season finale was very good. They balanced well the different things that happens in a hospital…
I would love to see them as fourth years training a new batch of residents, and being assigned to more complex surgeries or cases. Or at least a special episode where they reveal their relationship to their clueless siblings 😂 that's the scene I was super looking forward to!
Didnt expect this but my fave scene from this show (and any drama) is FLs talk with Prof Seo in the final episode. character growth + women empowering women + shitty work paying off + sudden clarity of your life purpose because of a few encouraging words from a senior who cares? YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW RARE THAT IS. Prof Seo made my heart flutter😂
Okay, one last gush. I love how the show showed Yiyoung stepped up for emergencies and earned her seniors' trust. I mean no oregnant mom gets ANY first year to be her attending. The fact she was assigned to her means all the profs see her as reliable. And deserve, because we had 2 episodes where she managed a crisis. t's such a nice shift from dramas where the FL's job is just a convenient backstory for the relationship and she's lucky to get a great guy. She worked damn hard to earn the right to hold that scalpel. So Dowon or not, I will cheer this girl on just for showing up and slaying at work every day. And standing up for her colleagues and comforting patients without credit. She's the keeper, sorry, not him. Dowon, take care of her or I will fight you myself😂
Small things, but I liked how Do Won's interactions with the other residents show his old, serious self. It makes his goofy, soft scenes with Yi young more special. He's still Mr Routine/Serious, except with her.
The speed at which Jung Jun won is getting followers on Instagram is pretty impressive. This morning (my time)…
Yes and I hope he proves that MLs dont have to look a particular way or be a certaib age. Honestly korea needs to be more inclusive. The beauty standards are so toxic
I swear that scene in the parking lot when she's telling him to get in the car is *perfection*. From being so cautious and "Mr. Routine" he's turned into a lovesick puppy who's just happy to see her😂
Love this episode. Funny how in kdramas they have all these fluttering convos while sitting in swings at playgrounds. Meanwhile I get scared staying in playgrounds at night... must be all the horror movies I watched before😂 I once lived in a house near a playground and I would practically run past it when I walked home at night😂
That bus stop scene is the best. Masterclass in tension. And guuuuys.... he thought about it! Like seriously considered it. I am dying hahahaha! Meanwhile our girl just wants to sit down😂
Eh, I’m not stressing about the “triangle” because IY has made her feelings clear multiple times and this…
I live in Asia. It's more traditional here to let the moms rest while baby is in the nursery, but more hoslitals give option for rooming in now. I have done both but honestly rooming in my baby a day after the CS was stressful and physically painful 😂 but even with my first, when I didn't room in, I could always go to the nursery when I wanted, so the bonding was there 🙂
Love how all the docs worked together in the last scene. And Dowon needs to take a stand. He's a pushover. In any other kdrama, he would have been 2ML. Nice guy who's been around forever, too scared or uninvested to make a move. Writer/director is subverting kdrama tropes and cast a relatively unknown actor with a chill, likeable, but often forgettable vibe --intentional choice. More than anything, I am so impressed with casting choices. They thought this out well.

Also, snaps to the styling team.
She fell first but he fell harder❤️
