Definitely. And it wasn’t just aristocratic families trying to avoid the Queen/Crown Princess selections, even commoners married their daughters off to avoid recruitment into service as Court Ladies. Court Ladies once relieved from their positions could not marry in their lifetime.

So it’ll be like the last one where we get to hear it in the drama but it’ll be released after it ends?

IMO: It was an abrupt transition because of the time skip and rushed scenes. In the last few episodes, it wasn’t really about the polygamy anymore, but about trust and influence. During the 3-yr time skip, their status grew even further apart and they had both matured in their roles as King and Court Lady. She realized how much influence she held when San killed or exiled family members who were plotting treason. She felt guilty of the guilt San was going through. It became a test of trust when the situation happened with the missing Court Ladies and her friend was one of them. It didn’t help that both the Queen Dowager and Doek-Ro put little seeds of doubt into her head when she was already stressed/worried about her missing friend. The King had already let Doek-Ro get away with corruption and greed. When she found out that the King had already known about who was responsible for the missing Court Ladies but delayed rescuing them because of personal reasons (trying to give his friend a chance to confess), it kind of affirmed Doek-Ro’s question of who the King values more, Doek-Ro or lowly Court Ladies (Court Ladies were being tortured while the King waited). She was mad and said things she didn’t mean. He was mad at her for not fully trusting him . Their prides got in the way. He wanted her to plea for forgiveness, she wasn’t giving in. It’s both their faults.

He has two concubines already like in history, one that passed away and one that just got selected. He hasn’t slept with either of them and don’t know if they’ll go there with the second concubine as there’s only two episodes left and the main focus will be his married life with FL. Once she’s official concubine, he doesn’t go anywhere else.

They have us 😭😭😭 from TRS. I was already cracking up at their antics on the radio show. If they ever did a RomCom together, my stomach and face will be hurting from 😂🤣😂🤣.

This probably warmed every shippers heart. 😂. These two are hilarious together and hype each other on. Seyoung flapping her wings like Junho told her reminded me of her doing the shooting arms with the blue sleeve covers after he showed her 🤣😂

Doek-Ro never prepared his very young sister for palace life so while she was expecting rainbows and sunshine comfort, what she got was daily lessons in decorum and protocols from a strict Queen Dowager. She probably got punished quite a bit. Also, because she’s so young, San hasn’t slept with her yet so she couldn’t fulfill her duty of having babies which is really the only reason they made her concubine. She couldn’t adjust to palace life and was also was worried about how it affected her brother’s status. She got ill and didn’t recover…mental and physical health tied together. You can decipher this from Doek-Ro and Doek-Im’s conversation after she visited Wonbin. It’s also why Doek-Ro blamed the Queen Dowager and went on that rampage with the Court Ladies.

I like slice-of-life historical cdramas if done well they’re kind of like a Jane Austen novel. Ones like General’s Lady are what I think of as Idol Dramas…very tropey historical dramas with pretty leads made for the idol audience that will usually have a HEA. Moon Embracing the Sun and Grand Prince (one man with one woman) are other Kdramas that I like.

Oh…Moon Lovers…my bad. I always refer to the Kdrama as Moon Lovers…with Lee Jon-Gi. I always get them mixed with the title Scarlet Heart. Yeah that one was well received and not available on Viki or Amazon for the US. Think it’s on those sites like deamacool but I hate all the pop-ups.

The one where he is blissfully leaning against Doek-Im in the field and he’s looking at her while she has the book in her hands.

The photo book doesn’t get released until end of Feb and that’s already been advertised. Haven’t seen anything on bgm yet…but digital copies of the bgm shouldn’t be too long after it’s done airing since it didn’t take long for each OST to be released.

We’ll all be crying along with you this coming weekend. Tissues ready.

Yeah…heard the whole song there. The rest of the OSTs should be released by next weekend I hope.
