I still need subs to fully understand but I agree this episode is set up for the final Head Court Lady battle. It ended with Head Court Lady Jo and the King. I’m thinking it’s leading to the ending of their era and the coming of Yi-San/JeongJo. So probably going to be next week we go from blue CP robe to Red King robe after next week. That would 5 episodes to clean house at Court, deal with Doek-Ro and have married life with Doek-Im.

Was trying to figure out what her tattoo says. I don’t think it’s a punishment tattoo because those would depict their crime.

Is that the direction they’re taking with Head Court Lady? Waiting for it to be available on Viki. It’s usually subbed quickly.

The sad part is that even after death, he still used her. He accused the Queen of killing his sister and also adopted Yi-San’s younger brother as his sister’s son to make him CP as Yi-San’s heir. That was the last straw and Jeongjo finally exiled him.

I need subs for what Doek-Ro said in that preview. Does it seem like he’s going to try and separate them so he can insert his sister?

Hoping that’s what it is and the things get solved in the next couple of episodes to leave us with some domestic Yi-San/Doek-Im episodes after he becomes King and she’s his Noble Consort Uibin before a bittersweet ending with their afterlife.

I’m still waiting to see which direction they’re going with that Fairy Palace. I see the organization as gray and it’s a tool that can be wielded for good or evil. So far Head Court Lady Jo is a character that has many layers and she’s shown how power changes people.

I think they needed to add the little telescope in that scene rather than in the next episode but it’s still a great drama. This is leaps and bounds better than the last three I watched. Everyone in the MDL discussion thread was literally plotting deaths 🔪🧨of all the delusional side characters in the historical cdrama mess I watched right before this one. The script writers turned 20 of that 40 ep drama into a plot black hole.🤣

I still think they’ll stay true to history and give us a bittersweet ending. As long as they give us the afterlife scenes as well as some cute/happy married scenes, I’ll be satisfied. Since this drama is their story, we need a good amount of together time.

The drama meshed history and novel. They knew each other as children IRL but in novel, they met as late teens/young adult.

Love all the details in their costumes. You guys got me putting it on my tv just to see how it is compared to my iPad 🤣. It’s awesome on a bigger screen.

Wonder if she’ll even get a chance to reject him there. It looks like it’s around the same frame as Doek-Ro telling Yi-San to not waste time on a Court Lady and return to his place in the previews. 😡

That scene where Doek-Im touches his face is also going to be in next episode. 🥺😍.

Watching Junho and SeYoung portray Yi-San and Doek-Im, I can totally see how he never gave up on their relationship. If the actual historical figures were as open with their facial expressions as Junho and SeYoung are showing, he knew his feelings were most likely reciprocated. You can see all the conflicting emotions on Doek-Im’s face when he confesses and she rejects him. And the look on Yi-San’s face shows that he knows there’s something holding her back. I love watching these two in their scenes together whether it’s serious or romcom, they’re so naturally expressive with perfect chemistry.

Lol…I took at as she passed out from running all that distance and the fear of him in danger once the adrenaline wore off…not really sleeping per say 😂

Head Court Lady Jo be like a madame since she couldn’t get the concubine position herself. Isn’t that’s one of YeongJo’s concubines from episode one as part of the Fairy Palace? So I’m guessing she set Grandpa up with her own Court Lady and has been trying to do the same with the grandson. Wondering if she did the same with Sado and caused his illness/madness.

I was like…😯 band of female ninja assassins…yes…if only they were on Yi-San’s side. So guessing that’s where all those girls that have disappeared to went??

Was so glad that Yi-San is really questioning their relationship. Seems like he’s always been aware that Doek-Ro has never been fully loyal to him.

That’s what I read too. And he also continued to go there after she passed away…used it as his study or something like that. 🥰
