I find the secret organization also interesting. It looks like it’s been there for a long time. Yeah, honestly…
From one of the Twitter posts, they put that runaway King story to like 200 years before YeongJo so it may have been around for a while. Court Lady Jo is the most recent Head of the organization.

It feels like the politics is picking up… frankly… I’m not so interested haha. I mean we all know he’s…
I’m ok with the amount of politics so far. It’s not the complete focus but is the backdrop for their relationship. Doek-Im is Yi-San’s calm/safe space/retreat…from the politics that he has to deal with on a daily basis. She’s his home. You can see it in that scene where he went to his room and everything felt better as soon as he saw her in his bed. Same with the kite and the end when they held each other. Love the way that they’ve shown this part of their real life relationship because it was said that he always went to her when he needed a breather from the crazy of being King.

I also think a Crown Prince couldn't take a concubine without the king's approval so there is that as well. However…
🤣 In one of the historical videos I watched, it said his mom and step-grandma were worried because his wives were barren (Queen and concubine 2) and he wasn’t interested in or messing with any of the court ladies.

Yeah…as CP, he couldn’t take an official concubine without approval but he could pretty much sleep with anyone he wants in his palace. Just because he sleeps with them doesn’t make them concubines. Sadly, there were some really creepy nobles and royals who took that “privilege” for granted and used/abused their maids 😡. Just glad Yi-San wasn’t like that.

The more I read and discuss re: allegorical elements of the drama - the emphasis on storytelling, dramatization,…
Think everything you’ve said is what also helps the actors/actresses feel their characters and give us the performance that we’re so addicted to.

I read a comment on another drama (the one that airs same time as this one) that they don't understand why this…
I haven’t watched any of the other ones that’s currently airing yet but to me, this one seems to be closer to the traditional sageuks without being 40+ episodes and the others are more fusion? I’m not sure but for me it’s like comparing the cdramas The Story Of Minglan to A Girl Like Me. Even though they’re both historical, they’re two different kinds of storytelling that appeal to different ranges of audiences. Plus you only get historical dramas like this once in a while whereas you get the fusion ones all the time.

So I think it varies depending on their personality. A CP can actually get it on with any of the Court Ladies…
Lol…we already see how he’s always strict and by the book with all the court ladies. He’s pretty dismissive of them and barely notices or acknowledges them. And the exception has been Doek-Im. IRL, they said he didn’t mess with any females except his wives. It was said that he only visited his wives on their prescribed fertility days for procreation. Except when Doek-Im finally agreed to be with him, he was always visiting her when not busy with official stuff (in novel and apparently in real life). Yi-San was noted for his discipline over his personal life with the country/people as his priority.

I can’t wait to see how their relationship is going to be shown once they get together. Their chemistry is awesome already.

Quick question for the history experts. Am I correct in thinking the CP CAN'T get his groove on with anyone he…
So I think it varies depending on their personality. A CP can actually get it on with any of the Court Ladies if he wants but everything is usually recorded in case of pregnancy. Also, many times to ensure unwanted pregnancies, anyone he’s involved with can be forced to take contraceptive medicines that a lot of times if taken too frequently will make them infertile in the future. Yi-San is a different case. Due to the issues with his father, he had a disdain for getting involved with Court Ladies. Of course, the only exception was Doek-Im.

Is it wrong if I ship these two...😉😉
Watching them, I can’t help but join the ship especially the more I learn about them.

This is some god-given stuff right here
Junho is definitely the more natural actor out of the three. I saw in a video that he actually started acting in school plays at a young age but decided to go the singing idol route first.
Lol…WWWSK is the first time I saw Chansung acting too. It didn’t hit me he was 2PM until the squid/Heartbeat scene.

I think most follow Taecyeon, Junho, and Chansung cause of their acting careers. I like something about all of them and their bond. Love their songs and I have I’m Your Man and Love Song on most of my playlists but listen to Make It, My House, and Heartbeat as well.

Wkwkwkw MBC must be very happy... Keep feeding us almost every hour...wkwkwIt feels like everyday is Friday and…
I think it’s going to stir up frustrations from knetz cause it goes against the traditional grain of Court Lady roles. But as long as they don’t take it too far, it should be ok. Since it’s only 16 episodes, hopefully it’s as you guys said, that it’s toned down after the events in ep 9. Don’t want it going down the Mawang trap.

I’ve watched their Knowing Brothers episodes and Running Man episodes. Thanks for the link. I’ve been going to YouTube whenever I’m bored and want a 2PM fix. Their videos are hilarious and it’s funny but I always usually end up watching all the Junho ones followed by Nichkhun.

I found 2PM initially through see Taecyeon in a drama too. But got caught into their group by their bond. 😂 Poor “Taecyeon, pabo”. Don’t think they’ll ever let Junho forget about breaking Taec’s bone.

Wow, I hope she feels better soon! And thank you Kim Kyung Nam for asking for too much money? 😂 What a blessing…
To be honest, they’re one of the few KPop groups I know. I’m not really in the KPop idol world either. I know a couple of 1st generation groups like SES (Eugene in Penthouse). 2PM is second generation KPop. They’re known for being the manly KPop group and was pretty popular. They took a 5 year hiatus as each member went into the military to serve their time and just had a comeback this year. Regarding Junho, it’s pretty much what everyone has said about his fan cam that went viral while he was in the military. I wasn’t too big into KPop and knew of 2PM through Taecyeon at first a few years ago when I saw one of his dramas and variety show. Saw some 2PM videos and thought they were hilarious, and went down that rabbit hole. From what I’ve seen, they all do pretty well in their own way. Junho is known for his discipline and being a mischievous one in their group. He has great vocals. From what I see in all their videos, Junho has gone from their mischievous baby to someone who’s more sure of himself and mature. Although, when together, they’re still a hot mess of brothers. Love them.
