I don't remember any happy endings in films where Allen is the main lead. However, I do recall that every romantic drama I’ve watched featuring him has been disappointing due to the lack of chemistry with his co-stars. I also read that he has specific rules about the number of times his character has to kiss the female lead, although I can't recall where I saw that article; it was a while ago. It struck me because he mentioned that he is a happily married man and wants to respect his wife. This made me wonder why he chooses to participate in romantic dramas instead of thrillers that don’t involve romance.

Hate her I'm not stoping you (everybody has their favourites/non-favourites) but commenting on her drama/movie…
Your attitude is childish and ridiculous. Go find another to harass. You are the perfect example why I never bother answering provocation as you are one of those who don't know the difference between sharing opinion and bullying under the disguise of lecturing. #youareblocked

Just to clarify, this platform and page are designed for discussing dramas, including actors/actresses. Here, we can explore all the latest twists, turns, and developments in our favorite shows, as well as those we may not enjoy as much. This is not a fan page focused solely on admiration.
A forum of discussion or comments sections is a place to share our thoughts, whether they are positive or critical. Restricting discussions or someone to only positive comments can be seen as bullying and harassment. This will only adapt up to when he teleports to the islands. (Forgot what they're called lol)
Another bittersweet ending.
Agreed. Looking at the casting and characters names, I also predict the season will end when he teleports to the new world with Zhang Tie.
Another TV drama where the female character main lead will receive much more screen time than in the novel. I predict a strong focus on romance and yang yang naked chest to appeal to the Yang Yang fans.
In the novel, the main character has several 'confidantes'—women who fall in love with him and temporary bed parters—and eventually marries one companion later in the story. He also has an official concubine. The novel is definitely not a romance. The hero is a male and the book is meant for men. 80% is about cultivation and fighting.
In the donghua animation, the script focuses at a younger audience, the main character has no woman friends or romantic partners, except for a single encounter that occurs while both characters are under the influence of drugs. Although girls are falling in love with him as soon as he save them, he remains emotionally detached and shows no interest to them. He refuses to commit to any relationship. In one instance, he gave a girl two "forgetting" pills because he noticed she was falling for him. With another girl, he harshly rejected her mainly because she was mortal, and he felt her short lifespan made their connection meaningless, especially as she was already deeply in love. He continues to ignore them and leaves them behind at every turn. The only people to whom he was deeply attached were 3 or 4 men but they all died. The only woman he has a soft spot is the one who took his virginity but here also he did not make much effort and his cultivation was his top priority.
The audience for TV dramas varies, as do the budgets. The female lead is listed as the "main role," when she should actually be in a "supporting role." Interestingly, the protagonist's best friend, who accompanies him on many adventures, is not even listed as a main supporting character. Ultimately, the quality of the story will depend on the talent of the scriptwriter and director and if they have enough budget to develop the martial choreographed and special effects. However, given the constraints of the Chinese entertainment industry, censorship issues, and the reduction of episodes from 34 to 30, I question whether the story will be conveyed effectively. We'll have to wait and see.
Based on the limited clues I have, my conclusion is that the TV drama will be 'inspired' by the novel but will differ significantly from it. A good example that comes to mind is "Joy of Life." The novel consists of seven volumes and over 5,000 chapters, but the TV adaptation only retained some ideas while missing its essence. Additionally, the TV female lead received far too much screen time compared to her role in the novel. In "Joy of Life," there were minimal martial fights, and the cultivation aspects were not emphasized as they were in the book. Overall, the TV drama served as a vague inspiration rather than a faithful adaptation. I expect this upcoming drama to follow a similar path.
Pity. The novel is a gem that explores themes of cultivation and martial arts combat.
I like the plot, but I dislike Allen. I don't think he can effectively portray romantic roles, as he lacks chemistry with his partners. I've seen him in a few costume dramas, and I find his performances quite cold, especially when it comes to expressing love. Each time, I've been disappointed by his acting. Because of this, I won't watch any more dramas with him in the lead role.
Please note that I will immediately block anyone who acts like an overzealous fan. I have zero tolerance and patience for immature comments. Adults can express differing opinions respectfully, while children often resort to tantrums. Wishing everyone the best in the real world.
This upcoming drama is likely to be very different from the novel, and I don't have high expectations for it. I'm not convinced by Gina Jin's involvement, and I'm not a fan of Yang Yang either. Given that the book has been serialized over 11 volumes, totaling around 7.71 million words, I have a bad feeling about the 30 episodes planned for the adaptation. I anticipate that Yang Yang's character will be portrayed as the male lead who is adored by women, with little emphasis on cultivation and martial choreography.

DIRECTOR is YANG ZIHE… not yang yang
