You may visit fandom but I noticed few errors. Overall, it is good. Gives also info regarding relationships (wives, concubines, lovers), friends and masters
How is donghua remake numbered? Events of early part of Ep. 12 are told in Ep. 15 of “Remake” (see link),…
I gathered information from Fandom but need to verify it. Fandom can contain inaccuracies, and I noticed a few errors there.

Well put - good example. I see what you are saying. From my standpoint its the post production mixing of fx genres.…
In a behind-the-scenes feature, it is noted that this project began 8 to 10 years ago, indicating a large budget. Therefore, the presence of such basic visual errors is unprofessional.
A story needs villains and strong and weak characters to create a compelling plot.
If they truly cared, they would become the heroes. By definition, heroes are often bullied and face significant struggles to survive. However, their intelligence allows them to become stronger than the villains, ultimately leading to the villains facing their karma. Similarly, in the plot, the masters appear indifferent because they have achieved immortality, viewing the disciples as insignificant, like ants. It is a pattern. Disciples are replaceable.
Okay, I'm just curious. If it was her female sect members who were with Wan when that beast's horny sac exploded,…
The genre known as "Chinese fantasy" includes the subgenre wuxia. It is not categorized as a reality drama, as everything exists in an imaginary world with fantastic characters.
Don't you guys think this guy has the easiest cultivation journey ever? I have watched enough wuxia dramas by…
The main reason is that the novel is long and features a lot of internal struggles. The pacing allows readers to fully understand the character's journey, and it highlights his many failures along the way. In contrast, drama tends to move at a quicker pace, forcing characters to make decisions rapidly. The hero seems to have a smooth journey instead.
It often frustrates me when characters suddenly reach a higher level without any clear explanation of how they got there. This happens a lot in dramas and some donghuas.
the romance never was a focus and they don't want you to ship, so there is no need to further skinshipthe continuity…
You seem very confident about the production's work. Are you part of the crew, or is this just your personal opinion? We still have a little less than 20 episodes left to watch, so we'll have a better understanding of the romance as we continue. I read the novel and I watch the donghua so of course I make comparison. But I like the 3 versions.
And I agree that the post production regarding details was probably rushed. Meh
The post-production work wasn’t very good. Although it’s a minor detail, I noticed something as a viewer. In Episode 12, at the 27:20 mark, the female lead has her hair on her back in one frame, and in the next frame, it’s partially in front of her. This inconsistency occurred multiple times throughout the episode. It was the same when he put his clothes back on. Again, it’s just a detail.
It appears that the production is attempting to minimize physical contact between the characters as much as possible, which is disappointing. No kissing but the usual “hug”. I don’t anticipate this happening for a while. My intuition suggests that this is season one, and the ending will likely be bittersweet. If they stay true to the novel, he will depart on the transportation to the other world.
I must admit, I’m not a fan of this actress—just my personal opinion. However, Yang Yang gained points from me in this drama.
He glammed up for his ex-girlfriend 😆 (Gina Jin played hsi ex in Are You My Glory)
Every drama differs in significant ways versus novel.. When a production invests a lot of money to cast star actors in leading roles, they ensure that their contracts include provisions for minimum screen time. A perfect example of this is "Joy of Life." While the journey follows Fan Xian, in the drama, the two princes and the female lead have received considerably more dialogue and storyline development.
I am quite pleased with the drama so far. We are now one-third of the way through the series, and there hasn’t been any romance yet. Although we know that some romantic elements will be introduced in the next episode, the story hasn’t truly become romantic yet. The storyline closely follows both the donghua and the novel. Although in the novel, he is not shy to have sexual encounters / lovers (mainly because he lives several hundreds of years and in many different places). However, we have already seen a significant amount of the female lead, more than what is depicted in the novel, indicating that the screen time is being allocate. .
Personally, I would be upset if there is too much focus on romance, as it could distort the original storyline. But I understand the tv drama audience is expecting some.
Wow! It was my first time paying for an early view, and it was definitely worth it. I truly enjoy this drama; the special effects and choreography are excellent.
This is a hybrid wuxia/xainxa drama used to tell the story of a person moving from being a mortal to being an…
I agree that the audience for each is different. What often confuses people is that when they love one, they tend to make comparisons and fail to appreciate each art form separately. Donghua offers visual effects that live-action dramas can't match, while dramas allow for a deeper connection with the human actors. Novels give us the freedom to use our imagination. It’s like comparing oranges, apples, and pineapples – they’re all good, but they each have a unique taste. Personally, I prefer donghua, but everyone has their own preference. Thank you for your references, I am sure some appreciate it.
