I really think that if YM actually finds out about TZ being YY he won't do anything. YM character is this drama is full of compassion and his love for YD (yes I know we don't want them to be together) will ensure that he basically gets what belongs to him (his birth right). I hope YM won't turn evil that is why i stated i hope the 3 friends can sustain the test of time and trial.
Secondly, I am satisfied that TZ is giving that candle the cold shoulder like he did in the heavens.
Thirdly, liking the screenwriter for the twist that TZ can't play chess in the mortal realm because YY swore he would give up chess while in the heavens after YD was put in prison (his promise is binding till his rebirth in the mortal realm).
Fourthly, what is up with the screenwriter again? is LOVE sweet or bitter? (WHAT?!)

Its hard to understand but looking at YM's perspective YD had suffered enough first being bullied by YY (playfully) then the candle and her own sister subsequently betrayed by the heavens in a sense. YM just wants YD to live a happy and carefree life with no sadness, pain or even betrayal. He is technically not restricting her because he did allow YD to explore the mortal realm then she met TZ and was 'lost' for a time and further after they met up again YM went along so that both can continue travelling with TZ. TZ is the one I feel who is restricting YD with the use of the bracelet (so she can't go far) and threat of capturing her in the gourd this was due to jealousy which are feelings he never felt before as he has abstain from love (same as in the heavens). TZ is actually learning about life together with YD as he had never left the sect before then he met YD and wants to be free like her. Just saying that there are many ways to look at a mirror.
We're already at ep 31, when is the romance gonna actually start??😩 and why did TZ and YD had so little screentime…

YM to me is easy on the eyes and has no bad intentions, have to admit I like the teamwork between TZ/YD & YM in the mortal realm and I hope that their friendship can sustain the test of trial & time.

Exactly what I was pointing out in the beginning of this drama. Every small detail is taken into consideration, the makeup is on point as the lighting with contrast between light & dark.
In the heavens which is forever bright the immortals are thousands of years old more serious / sombre so their expressions make them look older while in the mortal realm the actors are basically starting life anew circa in their 20s minus YM who is technically immortal so they act young & vibrant. With day & night in the mortal realm the costumes are light coloured during the day with slightly heavier paler tone make up & costumes become darker in colour with darker tone make up so the actors don't look like ghost hopping around in the supposedly middle of the night. 🤣 My take on this so far. I pay attention to the surroundings/the make up & complexity of the costumes.
So did Tang Zhou bound Yan Dan again with him even in her true form since she's sticking with him instead of Yu…
That is funny right? Why does YD hide in TZ's sleeve & not with YM? I think she has started to try analyse her feelings but needs to spend more time with TZ. In the heavens she fell deeply in love with YY first so now its TZ turn. 😁
