For some worried about if the whole story is a big dream in the end like Scent of Time, I would say no worry at all. Since Scent of Time is original created script, while this drama is novel adapted. Novel adapted cdramas usually follow the ending in the novel. which is a happy ending here. And the reason they make the past life as a dream in the drama is only for passing the censorship. (This novel was written in 2020 btw).

From the trailer, they dreamed of the past life and try to save everything this life. HE in this life!

ZLH is dubbed by another person in this drama because of the shortened post-production, he didn't have time to dub himself. What a pity... I love his deep voice in SOKP 🥺

99% Cdramas are based on novels, it's different from Kdramas based on webtoons or original scripts.

Agree. Wu Jin Yan spent 8 months living in Hengdian from the time she started reading the script, even though this drama was filmed in just 4 months. She canceled all her commercial activities to fully immerse herself in the character and the story. She said that during that period, she felt she had become Xue Fang Fei/Jiang Li, and it took her a long time to get out of it.

This Li is 梨. Jiang Li 's nickname. Nickname can be chosen from the last word of given name, or a totally different name, like Xue Fang Fei's nickname.

A Li (狸) meaning cat, it's her previous identity Xue Fang Fei's nickname. not her current name Jiang Li (梨), different characters though the same pronounciation. He's indicating he knows her real identity, and ONLY he knows the secret , to show the intimacy and unique bond.
