There seems to be something wrong with the stats on MDL - or maybe maths is become a dying artform? If you look at the age distribution chart, it is scoring over 8.5 in every age group. Oh, and if you look at the pie chart, 4 people actually claim to have completed the drama. I would like to know how they did it. With all the loopholes that allow bogus ratings (like rating episodes that haven't aired yet, as some did on LoA) the MDL rating is quickly becoming totally meaningless.
I feel this drama very similar to Royal Rumours, only different in first 12 chapter but then very similar?
I don't see any real similarities.... RR was much more light-hearted and the FL was the exact opposite of the FL in this one. Hua Liuli only wanted to be famous as a sickly beauty, this one wants a career as a capable woman.
Um. How the hell did this drop two points? :( If the last two episodes killed it, sorry not sorry.
It's a bit strange, indeed. Since all the already aired episodes have a decent rating I can only conclude that some people must have given a seriously bad rating (like 1 or 2) in the overall rating to have such a massive impact. I hope it picks up again because this drama deserves better than 8.1!

Does anyone think ML Feng Shaofeng dubbed voice sounded like Donghua Dijun voice. Same dubbed voice.
It sounds similar at certain moments, but it's not the same voice. Donghua was dubbed by Zhang Jie who also dubbed Allen Ren and Cheng Yi in several productions. According to Dramawiki the voice of the ML is dubbed by a guy called Xuan Zone.
While everyone is laughing about the FL/ML banter, I think the love story between Shen Jing Hong and the Princess is very touching and I hope they will get a happy ending. The way they both reacted when the emperor suggested the marriage was one fine piece of acting. And his look when he saw her caress her dead husband's picture was so moving - while his eyes said "so that's the competition".
How does this drama still not have a comedy tag??? Some of the scenes are absolutely hilarious!!! Here the humour is generated so naturally from the dialogue and their subtle acting, without any of those dreadful slapstick "ideas" we get to see in some other dramas.

Apparently the original author is pleased with the drama version, so that is already a positive sign.
