Yeah every kdrama ,cdrama and every drama always use this concept like people are blind in the drama can't recognize…
I know is a common cliché, but it still is annoying as hell. Considering that they were given awesome source material (the novel) it very frustrating to see good writing being replaced by the same old tropes that we've already seen hundreds of times. And it makes me worried that a lot of other original ideas will be given a similar cliché-makeover. The ML's costumes are another aspect that points into this direction. They are very beautiful and look good on him, but the novel mentions only on every other page that he always wears pure white clothes. This is important, because it has a special meaning for his character. Pei Yan is the one with a thing for luxury which forms a contrast to the ML's simple way of dressing. Instead, what we can see in the stills is that both boys seem to be in a fashion competition for the most luxurious outfit. It may be pleasing to the eye, but it takes away a lot of the subtleties that are in this story. I want this to be good, so these details are important to preserve the character of the story.
As much as I love AR's macho-style COVID mask, I have to rant about the director's interpretation of the face-mask concept. In the novel, in order to preserve his secret ID, the ML wore a face-mask that would only show his eyes, plus a veiled hat. That's what I call protecting one's identity.
In the stills we see the ML either with some flimsy cloth over his nose and mouth or this novelty COVID-mask. How can anyone not see who he is???? Is the director taking the viewers (and the other characters of the story) for half-blind idiots??? The whole hunt for the masked man becomes absolutely absurd, when on our screens even a 5-year-old could identify him within minutes.
A person covering a tiny portion of his/her face but nobody can recognise him/her is such a ridiculous trope of C-dramas. I'm really disappointed seeing this repeated here again!
Sometimes I feel Jeremy is the type that can slide in some real funny comments about the scene or acting while…
Yes, there are many BTS clips of him goofing around between the shots, but sadly, these clips rarely have subtitles. There was a rather strange one recently of him rolling his eyes up so they were all white. It looked really creepy but everyone around was laughing like crazy. In any case it's nice to see that he keeps everyone entertained.
I tried to find a synopsis for this and here is what I found: The main story of the series: On the screen of people's mobile phone, a flower keeps spinning. The mandala flower causes continuous bloodshed by people jumping off buildings. Every deceased person who jumped from a building would repeat the same two lines of poetry before their death, but after death, all the organs in the body would be lost. But despite all these cases, the Nanjiang City Criminal Police Team did not open an investigation because according to the autopsy results of the forensic doctor Zheng Luo, the cause of death was suicide! Xiao Jian, a young detective who always has his own unique insights into criminal investigation and solving cases, proposed that this was a premeditated serial murder case, but Xiao Jian had no evidence, and everyone thought that everything he did was just for his own benefit. Cowardice makes excuses. Because while investigating this case, his master "Lao Jar Rou" cut off the rope and finally fell into the river and was washed away by the flood. Regardless of whether other members of the criminal police team agreed or not, Xiao Jian still investigated alone. Suicide cases by jumping from buildings continued to occur in Nanjiang City, and Xiao Jian was determined to pursue them to the end. Under Xiao Jian's investigation, one case after another has shown inextricable connections. What is even more incredible is that as the investigation deepens, everyone around him has become a suspect. In the end, Xiao Jian felt that this masked murderer was probably the master he had been searching for for many days.
Why it's a 12 min drama 😡😡😡.....plzz stop releasing amazing posters for short series 😭
There seems to be a lot more creative freedom for short-length series. So maybe the story is just as amazing as the poster. Why miss out just because it is a short series?
Sort of… the SML likes the FL, but it is rather one-sided. Romance isn’t the main focus of the novel. I’m…
Those are some awesome photos you've uploaded! They're from a dramatic scene between the ML/FL - I've seen a short clip of it... This is going to be good!!
Here’s the synopsis according to Douban (machine translation): Xue Wan'er, who pursued free love, was not allowed by her family and was deceived and used by her elder sister. After the rebirth of Nirvana, she fought with her enemies and fought against the feudal pedantic etiquette. After all kinds of ups and downs, her lover lost and recovered, and she also successfully regained everything that belonged to her and ushered in a new life.
Mothers have no compassion for their own girls.I would not let my daughter to be a concubine. A concubine's life…
This is because they value material things over happiness. How many women ended up in bad marriages because they only saw that the guy had a good job, a nice house and a big car? Nothing has changed since ancient times…🥺😢
As terrible as she is and with all the terrible decisions she’s made in both her life and her daughter’s……
There are quite a few bad parents around in real life, so the drama isn’t making this up. I can confirm from personal experience that the parents who “only want your best” usually make a mess of things. They are unhappy with their life’s, yet try to push their children to make the same mistakes that they made.
i'm kind of confuse on the part of wu lian wife. From what I understood, she is infertile and wu lian tricked…
No, she isn’t infertile. Her mother gave her some special medicine assuming this was the reason for her not getting pregnant, but the best medicine in the world is useless if her husband doesn’t touch her. From what I understood she lost her virginity to her cousin (who apparently works similar schemes as WuLian). Her family then arranged her marriage with WuLian hoping that he wouldn’t realise the truth, but he already knew and therefore never touched her.
And it makes me worried that a lot of other original ideas will be given a similar cliché-makeover.

(This is a cleaned up machine translation.)
