I thought this looked interesting, with some decent actors. Then I saw that the director is the genius who gifted the world with ChongZi and Dear Mr Heavenly Fox. In other words, a specialist for suffocating any story in endless misunderstandings and cliches with the help of characters that are too dumb to ever ask the most obvious questions. And he wants to direct a detective story??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a ridiculous drama! And what's with all the modern gadgets and travel to "Europe" (but "be back soon")??? Also, the plot (king of animal tribe lost pearl, girl swallows it by mistake, he gets close to her and falls in love, etc.etc.) sounds strangely similar to that of Dear Mr Heavenly Fox. Was this the suggestion of the week in the script-writers magazine?
Well, she has been robbed. This is based on a female-centric novel that has her in almost every scene. In the…
Not really - how could I hate the guy, up to chapter 40 he's barely been around... 🤣🤣🤣 What I hate, however, is script-writers distorting a perfectly fine novel, especially when it is at the expense of the female main character. Sadly this one is far from an isolated case...
I think her make-up makes her look like a geisha (especially all that red around her eyes).
I find her thin eyebrows even more annoying. Basically, EVERYTHING about her is annoying. Most of all that sense of entitlement "because she suffered so much..." 🙄
There is a fine line between having a female antagonist to create some tension and spoiling the fun for everyone…
I don't think that they are survivors of the Di regiment. Otherwise Ziyuan wouldn't be so keen on getting that list of survivors and actively search for the guy who left the medallion. I think the 30,000 naval troops are new recruits from Dongqian.
Drama mo shuang is not novel mo shuang right ? perhaps because of episodes limit, they combine the event together.…
Yeah, his deeds from ten years ago seem a bit unbelievable seeing how totally underwhelming he is now. Every time I see him not-doing-anything my mind screams "what a wet blanket!". It's definitely not the acting, but the way the role was written. I see that GJ is trying to add some subtleties here and there but he wasn't given much to work with. This sadly reminds me of Journey of ChongZi when they gave Jeremy Tsui nothing to do for 40 episodes other than wave his hands in the air and look constipated. This kind of writing can only make the actors look bad.
Yeah… it feels like the emperor is scared with the dowager? Don’t tell me that the dowager is behind of Di…
That's the impression I got from her latest scenes. Not too sure how far the subs can be trusted but my interpretation was that her husband had the hots for Ziyuan's mother.
On Episodes 13-14, I hate that 70% of the screentime is given to the fake DZY. Hopefully later episodes will reduce…
There is a fine line between having a female antagonist to create some tension and spoiling the fun for everyone by creating an unsufferable b*tch that takes up too much screen-time. The writers obviously went a bit too far with this one.
I want to watch this cos I love LYN. Can someone tell me what’s his role in this? I heard he has one sided love…
It's a very nice role. He gets to do lots of scheming and looking mysterious... something that suits him very well! He also has a gorgeous female admirer, but this relationship is sadly also one-sided.
Rooting only for Li Landi coz she can carry whatever roles. This looks like a male centric so i dont have high…
Well, she has been robbed. This is based on a female-centric novel that has her in almost every scene. In the first 40 chapters the supposed ML has made three or four very brief appearances. Her interaction so far has been mainly with the SML, Pei Yan. So the script-writers will have to mangle the whole novel to accommodate the ML in the drama version.
Thanks for this. IF we got these two for these characters it would fit so well
Actually, just checked, I've seen her in Ms Cupid in Love. It was a very silly drama and certainly not a role that gave her any opportunity to shine as an actress, but at least she wasn't annoying. So I just take your word for it.
We are all wondering about the same thing. If you scroll down a bit, you will realise that currently, nobody knows...
Yes, every decent drama has to have THE question that people keep asking without ever scrolling down to see that 500 other people already asked the same question before them 😂😂😂😂
The premise sounds a lot like Princess weiyoung 👀👀👀👀
Not at all. In PW the FL was an imposter who got lucky. Anle is the real deal pretending to be someone else. Also unlike PW she can take care of herself without nearly getting killed every second episode by her adoptive family.

Yes, I know, LYN is pretty tall, but her dress even adds to the effect.
