dont worry. his character in this is the complete opposite of wen kexing
Not necessarily exactly like Wen KeXing, but interesting, so that he gets a chance to show us some acting instead of just looking pretty. Usually the complex, grey characters (and especially the unhinged ones) are a lot more interesting to watch. The calm and kind characters may be nice to have around in real life, but in drama they tend to be a bit boring.
Yes, Liu Xue Yi is talented in this kind of character, and that's why he is chosen for these charming roles, important…
He was quite good in Qing Luo, too. Everybody seems to be forgetting about this one... It was a conventional ML role, and even though the plot had quite a few holes, the acting was pretty decent.
if its mangotv project then i avoid this i don't have endurance to understand their subbing .
You don't understand. MangoTV are actually doing us all a favour: with this free brain-jogging provided by the subtitle guessing game they prevent our brains from rotting despite watching TV all day 👩🎓 It's all for the sake of our health!
I'm just reading the novel now, so can only tell you what I know so far (also, not sure how much they will change…
You got 2 out of three. In the earlier chapters there was a scene of him being drunk and complaining to the FL about his goal being fake and his life being meaningless. It was quite sad 🥲🥲🥲
I’m crying sub is really bad I need to guess what they want to say bro English is not even my native language…
The person cannot be fired because it's a machine 😂 I don't know what tool they're using because even for a machine translation this is sub-standard. But, once you get the hang of it (translated personal names, etc.) it is ok to follow the story.

Yeah, it's a bit sad. With this on top of what we have seen in the trailer for Yong An Dream and in Chong Zhi it almost looks like he is trying to compete with Luo Yunxi for the most tragic hero. Arrgh, all that heart-clutching will be killing me!!!

You can find the original novel here: https://www.630shu.net/shu/58797.html I don't think there is an English translation yet. I have done a machine translation for myself which I'm updating (with correct pronouns and tenses) as I'm reading. There are some bits that just don't translate well, but it's good enough to follow the story.
Thanks for the summary. You forgot not to spoil it for others. I loved the heads-up😊😊😊
I didn't use the spoiler tag since the above is merely a personal comment on the show but it doesn't contain any info on the plot that could be regarded as a spoiler.
Watched the first available six episodes and so far it is o.k. - a typical xianxia. The first episode is filled with slow-motion takes of the ML catching the FL mid-air, preferably under a rain of flower petals, which really is one of the worst of cheesy romance fillers, but fortunately in the following episodes they toned it down a bit. The character of the FL is quite likeable, clever and thankfully, not as childish as her very unfortunate hair-style would suggest. The ML's acting mainly consists of looking dreamy and rolling his eyes in shock/surprise. Yes, he has beautiful eyes, but after a while it gets boring. I mainly started watching this for the SML, played by James Yang, who I guess will get to do some decent acting again if the spoilers at the end of the drama are any indication. I will be looking forward to this! No xianxia would be complete without some SFL trying to wedge between the main couple, but at least for the moment the two sisters aren't annoying (yet). The subtitles are machine-translated without any review and quite abysmal. It takes some getting used to the translated personal names and incorrect titles, but it is possible to follow the storyline. In conclusion, it's an entertaining, standard xianxia, nothing particularly outstanding but good enough to watch. I guesss the current 8.6 rating is more of a HeNa bonus than a true reflection of the drama quality.
As long as the post is properly tagged as a spoiler, I don't know what your problem is.I personally like to see…
Yeah, I don't know why some people seem unable to tick the spoiler box. While personally I don't mind spoilers, I find it disrespectful towards everyone who does.

Yeah, half of the time they translate people's names, so the FL is called Gold Ingot, the ML Long Phalanus (whatever that means...) and the SML is called Uncle Cliff Brother. All the family relations are also bungled there were guy referring to their husbands (and it's not a BL 😂). It takes a bit of getting used to but then its is quite ok.
can anyone give me spoiler about Jeremy's character?
I'm just reading the novel now, so can only tell you what I know so far (also, not sure how much they will change everything around from a novel centered around the FL to suit the ML): He is the Left Prime Minister, Pei Yan, and son of a martial arts dynasty, so very good with the sword. His manor hosts a martial arts conference where the FL (who is a young girl who has run away from her sect) also appears. Pei Yan, realises that the FL can help him identify a conspirator (the ML) who he is chasing and forces her to stay in his manor. She hates him for this and because he sees through all her schemes to break free. He seems to find her amusing and keeps playing some tricks on her.
The Pei Yan character as described in the novel definitely suits Jeremy very well. He is very elegant, clever, very good at martial arts and a bit manipulative, but he keeps saving the FL's life (while the ML keeps trying to kill her) and I think he is slowly falling for her. I'm afraid we will be bawling our eyes out over a possible love-triangle.
He is already a bit of a sad character, because there is no love in his family and his mother and uncle only use him as a political chess piece. His mother forced him to marry a concubine (who he dislikes because she is spying on him).
There are a lot of conspiracies, old and new, going on and my guess is that at some stage Pei Yan will change sides.
