I’m on episode 13 and so far it’s ok to watch. I’m not a fan of the FL’s depressed look, but it gets better after a while. The ML needs some getting used to, as you know I’m spoilt 😉So far the story is interesting enough to continue…

Oh dear, yet another one of those idiotic time-travel stories…

Yes, so far I like BOR better as well. I loved the book behind BFTB, but that forced comedy just feels out of place. I don’t mind if they make some changes in the drama version of a book, but I hate it when they completely change the tone of it!

Try watching BFTB they added a lot of comedy which wasn’t in the book and I found it so irritating that I stopped watching. Some people seem to like it though, so maybe you will, too.

Hmh…this is another one with these over the top martial arts effects like TBOY. I cannot say that I’m too fond of this. It may be ok in a xianxia, but for a wuxia I would prefer something a bit more down to earth…

A lot of people said that. The plot of DC sometimes was a bit weak, but I loved the way it was filmed!
Will give SW a try when I’m in the mood for something modern or some ZYC, whichever comes first 😂

If you look at the most recent, Song of the Moon, Chong Zi or TTEOTM the current trend seems to be open/sh*t endings for xianxia.
It feels like they don’t care if they disgust their target audience for as long as the outrage creates enough clicks and chatter.

3000 sounds pretty young for a deity. I don’t know what the setting is for this novel, but in TMOPB 30,000 years was still a youngster 😀

I will definitely end up with SML syndrome for this one! Of course it will be disappointing if he “doesn’t get the girl” but it will be an opportunity for some great acting. Plus being cast in a role with strong martial arts skills plays into his strengths. He is much better in emotional and action roles than playing a stony-faced character.

Yes, this is really annoying. By the time I’ve identified which line is song and which one the dialogue, both lines are already gone again. 🤯
Had to pause several times just to follow the dialogue.

No, I usually only watch costume dramas. I just wanted to check out The Dream Catcher to see him with that dorky hairstyle and then I got sucked into it and watched all of it. That’s how good it was!

Interesting interview…
He sounds incredibly mature for such a young actor. I think as an actor he has a lot of potential, beyond his martial arts prowess. The recently aired The Dream Catcher was maybe a glimpse into that future as a character actor.

I’ve never watched more than a few eps of TSL (I didn’t like it) but that one was probably no worse than the one in Legend of the Phoenix who was weak, selfish, manipulative and incompetent., literally screaming out to be deposed. Truly the worst I’ve ever seen!

Yes, I think you need to watch at least 3 or 4 eps and then it may grow on you… The story is interesting, but I have to admit that, personally I find the FL/ML a bit meh so far (on ep.6 now).
