It seems that Jeremy Tsui was seen doing makeup for this drama today.
Is it another guest role?
Does anyone have further info?

Since there's interest in the level of investment in Shui Long Yin (SLY), let me share more:1. An OP in Hengdian…
Reading this I have to ask, will there be any investment in decent subtitles?
It would be a shame to ruin all this work and everyone’s efforts with the usual Mango subs. If they want to sell this internationally every detail should be on par.

Yup, She looks older than the wife of her master( chen duling) to be 20 year old she looks older.
Yes, she looks older here than in her currently filming drama. Probably because she still had a bit of flesh on her cheeks, whereas now she is only skin, bones and eyes.
This slimming craze in C-dramaland is not only a health hazard for the actors but also pretty unappealing to look at.

is the filming finished?
It should be finished early August, around 05/08 by my estimate (based on a 120-day shooting period).
Meng Ziyi is already scheduled for another drama starting at the end of August.

I seriously doubt that. Youku already have The Immortal Ascension lined up for the end of this month…With all…
Yes, sad an annoying. They’re just sitting on this until it is outdated.
If they did some proper promotion, it wouldn’t be hard to get sufficient pre-broadcast investment and reservations..

Hi guys, just a quick update: the last Youku drama 'In the Name of Justice' has finished airing, and the new Youku…
I seriously doubt that. Youku already have The Immortal Ascension lined up for the end of this month…
With all the dramas they currently have waiting to air, it Iseems to become harder and harder to find a slot for this one 😔

Title Qin Mi
Rumours have Chen Xiao as one of the leads…

Nah, some folks were unhappy because he did actually work "more than he should, he might overshine their idol"…
It seems to be a difficult concept to grasp: SCREENWRITERS add scenes, ACTORS only execute the script that they are given.
So if anyone is unhappy about “added scenes” they should raise this with the production team rather than attacking the actor.

He is 2nd male lead, not guest role
I have seen a lot of slanderous posts coming from He Yu’s fans, accusing him of adding scenes to his role. All I have seen Jeremy’s fans do is defend him. They aren’t the typical hysterical idol-fans (as Jeremy has always been an actor, never an idol) who spend their time online so they usually don’t engage in fan wars.

Yes, I read the novel, all 800+ pages of it and I know very well what Xiao Changqing’s role in the novel is. I don’t like the additional love-line between him and the FL at all, as it makes absolutely no sense. I also don’t like the fact that his dead wife now looks exactly like the FL, because that also makes no sense if there isn’t supposed to be any romantic entanglement between the two.
BUT, it is one thing not to like what the scriptwriters have done to the source material, and it is another thing entirely to directly attack the actors for these changes as He Yu’s fans have done. They even went as far as accusing Jeremy of adding scenes, not only in this drama, but also in some of the previous dramas. I can only repeat what I have said before, if he had that kind of power, he wouldn’t have suffered so much in the past years.
I am quite sure all the main actors have read the script before signing on to this project and didn’t have a problem with it, so why do the fans?

In the novel Huayong was being jealous probably in 700 out of the 800+ chapters, so what’s new?
It is normal for dramas to have scenes that aren’t in the novel (and cut a lot of the scenes that are in the novel). What works on paper doesn’t always work on screen.
If the fans have some grievances with this they should address the production team instead of attacking the actor.
Quite frankly, the personal attacks and slander against Jeremy are getting out of hand!

I think He Yu’s fans need to chill. It is normal for a drama to deviate from the novel and scriptwriters like to make up stuff that isn’t in the original source material. Blaming and insulting the actor for any such scenes is really childish and unhelpful. It would be in He Yu’s responsibility to remind his fans to behave respectfully.
Also, in the novel, the Crown Prince got jealous at all and everything involving the FL, so him being jealous one more time can hardly be called a new concept.

I saw a rumour on weibo about september/october but again it's only a rumour🤣 https://weibo.com/6161773526/PyNwNEelZ
Haha, it’s probably from the same people who were adamant that it would start broadcasting 30th June 😂😂😂
It’s kind of sad they are keeping this on the shelf for so long, because by the time it finally airs people will have seen half a dozen of dramas with a “dual soul” type of plot and will have grown tired of it.

Jeremy tsui in guest role wow, I can see him again even for a moment😩🔥
He has three more dramas (all guest appearances) in the pipeline:
Hidden Shadow
Whispers of Fate
Southern Anecdote (cameo, not on the official cast list)
All we need is any of these dramas to start airing, but it looks like they are all coming only towards the end of the year.

To be precise, as per the official announcement on the drama Weibo page, he is a “special guest”. This means that he was cast outside of the general ranking order. It doesn’t give any indication as to the extend of his role.
Whether he can be considered the SML is debatable. To my mind, the SML should be his drama brother Xiao Changying, played by Lai Weiming.

Are you sure? I seem to remember a 14th Prince…
Or did you count only the ones alive at the beginning of the novel?

Yes, comments like that aren’t helpful and getting upset about them isn’t either. Some people always have to compare and rate everything. After all the purpose of the Tencent event was to promote the drama as a team, not a beauty competition.
Sadly, the kind of bullying experienced by Meng Ziyi seems to happen to a lot of young actresses. It is good that she managed to overcome this by her own strength.
Jeremy’s situation is slightly different, he is stuck with a useless agency who cannot offer him anything (other than mediocre dramas with rookie actresses) but refuse to let him go because he is their only cash cow. All the recent roles that he got, he had to find himself as the agency now seems to concentrate on skits. Previously, they pushed him to do dramas back to back even though he needed more time off to deal with family issues. This is one of the reasons why he (and his fans) aren’t at all unhappy with the “part-time work” of a special guest appearance.

I know they are different groups. I was just giving it as an example for the difference in perception.
Jeremy’s fans are usually too laid back to engage in fan wars. Most of them are a bit older than the typical idol fans. I followed a lot of the conversations on Weibo, if Jeremy hadn’t been unfairly attacked and insulted, they wouldn’t have reacted at all.
I agree with you that it is good to see the good working atmosphere on set. Their work is hard enough, nobody needs more trouble caused by unhinged fans.

Yes, I also believe there are only a few misguided individuals who are trying to stir things up. He Yu is the ML and nobody is trying to take that away from him, but some people just love attacking others in a viscous way. I think it all started when the two of them appeared at the Tencent event and some passersby commented that Jeremy looked more outstanding than He Yu which upset his fans. Of course every fan thinks their star is the most beautiful, but that doesn’t mean that other actors are ugly! Other dramas would be happy to have so many handsome guys.
I find it reassuring that the actors themselves all seem to have a good relationship and can play basketball together, hopefully unbothered by crazy fans.
Interesting fact about Meng Ziyi. I didn’t know she also had agency trouble. No wonder she and Jeremy are friends, they have a lot to talk about. I can understand her fans being protective. It’s the same for Jeremy’s fans. He got so royally screwed over in Love of Nirvana, nobody wants to see trouble caused by an insecure ML (or his fans) again.
