If the plot is bad, no amount of fancy clothing can save it for me.
There are many recent examples of S-level productions that tanked despite the generous clothing budget because either the plot or the acting (or both) were sub par.

He was dubbed in all his recent dramas (in my opinion) due to time constraints and/or the production team deeming his voice too manly for the teenage target audience.
If for SLY he has the support of the production team and considering how much importance he attached to this role, the miracle may happen and we get to hear that glorious voice again 🙏

This drama once again shows that Jeremy Tsui’s talents are quite wasted in the stiff-faced roles he had to do (not his choice, the agency decides) in recent years. He has superb comedic talent that should be cherished and put to good use.

I actually like the visuals of this. People’s faces have a natural colour and you can see the details of their faces instead of excessive filters turning everyone’s face into an undetermined white blob.

Also, ‘Kill Me Love Me’ was moved forward reportedly because the FL is pregnant and would be unable to promote the drama if it is broadcast later.

He is very good in modern ones, too. I saw him in Desire Catcher and I absolutely loved it.
Personally, I much preferred My Sassy Princess over The Sleepless Princess. Those “mousy” scenes in the beginning were very silly and I even dropped it once because of it. On the other hand, I’ve watched My Sassy Princess twice already.

Don’t blame Youku, blame that useless schmuck Zhang Haowei! He’s the one who couldn’t keep his blabbermouth shut about all his unsavory ideas.

Yes, he is very talented and I like watching him a lot, but he has been terribly unlucky with his dramas with many of them apparently shelved or delayed for reasons unrelated to him. I feel like it’s been ages since I last saw him in a drama.

Anyone who can act will be a good choice. He deserves a strong partner.

I cringe every time the SML comes on screen. He is such an obnoxious character who is far too full of himself. Very irritating!

It’s all related to his problems with that useless agency of his. The “retirement” was his way of going on a strike of some sort because they tried to force him to take another idiotic drama that he didn’t want to do.
It looks like now a compromise has been found, hopefully one that will grant him full artistic freedom in the choice of his future projects.

Me too! Me too. This drama is my comfort food whenever I need cheering up. Some of Jeremy’s scenes in this are pure comedy gold!
