did you watch Veil of shadows? I personally think it's her best one yet! ❤️❤️
Her character in VoS does fit her pretty well. I do prefer LWY over JLF as a character
However, for those who don't know anything about Jiang Li Fei in the novel, JJY's casting is pretty solid for how the character is portrayed, and her portrayal so far fits.
Just curious, who do you guys think, from what was shown so far, is the real villain?
If you read the novel, don't say anything. Just curious about what drama watchers think
Edited: FYI, I do know the answer (At least what happens in the novel)... looks like we got detectives watching the drama 🤓 replying... but who is right and who is wrong 🤔
Love your take on this!I completely agree that the ML and FL should have supported Prince Li instead. The Queen…
"ML and FL should have supported Prince Li instead. The Queen was ruthless and driven more by power than by justice, making it difficult to see her as the better choice."
Why in the world would ML and FL do that ?
What has already happened, creating more conflict from rebellion, would eventually lead to more misery and hatred. All of the core story and conflict stemmed from the queen, yes.
But ultimately, the ML and FL would not want to create a cycle that would lead to what happened to them being repeated. I.E ML brother's Lishan academy. Whether you like it or not, the Queen had won. Prince Li, even if he succeeded, would have destabilized the Empire and fractured that balance. There will still be people who loyal to the old child king. creating the same cycle of hatred and wronged that could lead to more Lishan Academy and ML brother fate on top of countless lives fighting a meaningless civil war.
nothing that happens is at the cost of narrative balance or compelling writing, maybe what is needed is understanding nuance
People really just miss it. The intro song literally opens by "memories hold you back from fulfilling your dreams, only by moving forward can you find reunion. Endings only mark a new route; it's all part of the scenery. To the horizon's call, your journey hasn't started".
Throughout the song, the message is clear: let go, stop living in the past, and keep moving forward because there is still more to life. Prince Li does the exact opposite. He cannot let go of what has already happened and is holding on to it.
Ep. 39-40: This was such a bad drama. ML entered the city without imperial decree risking a death sentence - this…
First, you are wrong.
Second, I don't want to respond to you with an equally long detail on why you are wrong, so I will summarize it.
What is the alternative ? "unlawful kid 'king' & his murderous mother queen dowager" they are still the current ruler. No matter what happened before, political struggles like these indeed happen.
Does the ML help Prince Li rebel? chaos and war throughout the land? Hundreds of thousands dead? To all your other points, stop thinking you are the character. You are not even thinking from the character's POV; you are putting yourself in their shoes and asking what you would do, and not what they would do.
Lastly, why bother writing all this nonsense to say you don't like the FL
So am really enjoying this one but as someone fairly new to Xianxia (having only seen LITC), I am a bit confused…
So without giving too much away Xiao Bang Chui is special, it will be reveal later that she actually naturally gifted in absorbing spirit energy, since she was born.
However, when she turn 3 she suddenly lost that ability. and her Old Master wanted her to live a normal life and didn't care if she regain it or not.
However, for those who don't know anything about Jiang Li Fei in the novel, JJY's casting is pretty solid for how the character is portrayed, and her portrayal so far fits.
They are just pushing forward the romance a lot more, which isn't a bad thing.
But I can see the differences
There are a few Xianxia that air between 2024 and now. But neither of them were TTEOM or LBFAD
"i can feel that JJYxTJR 2028 collaboration."
Erm, everyone, get ready for the sad/opening ending
