There are some differences in the characterization of both ML and FL at the start... but overall, it is sticking pretty close to the novel so far. Most likely to feature the romance more.
Most of what has happened so far occurred in the novel, with minor changes for the adaptation. The most noticeable thing is that they have been aged up for the drama

What a lot of people seem to miss my point is the character in the novel does have more depth to her. Something I'm sure JJY can pull off, but the drama change that.

That is true, that was changed. Here when they found out in the novel. So the person who wrote it didn't have it in the novel... I wonder if they just forgot or maybe didn't read it at all.

I care for the story more then anything. Sure I root for certain character and actor/actress now and then.
It always silly to me when I see people say thing like I only watch X Drama because X is here ! or I skip everything but X scene. 😂 😂
But I don't think anything is above criticism, even my own post.

Sadly it does change how Jiang Li Fei / Xiao Bang Chui is portray.
The Drama is adding way more to Song Wei Long character at the cost of JJY character.
