I saw someone review sf6 and gave it a one on viki and that person doesn't even tried to disguise themselves as a hater. Complaining about Esther's voice, xukai's acting, the plot, the CGI. Or another review saying this is just like any other fantasy drama and made a generalization without going into details about the drama with such a complex plot like this drama. If xukai is bad in acting would I fan him for so long, I don't go by an actor's look only and his acting in sword and fairy playing two characters are able to give us so much feels for these two characters, bian luhuan even though he's wearing a mask is so expressive using just his eyes to convey his feelings. Esther was casted for this drama and dubbed her own voice because the director wants her to use that voice to be as close to the game character, if you don't even try to understand the game or the characters, then this drama is better without you watching it. The plot of this drama is not like any other drama plot, it's unique and the cgi gives a feeling of being immersive in a game. If you can't appreciate its quality then it's not the drama fault, just your poor taste. Those people wouldn't dare go onto mdl and said those things here because they know the fans of this drama will tear them apart because they're just haters pretending to watch the drama without watching it.

I heard the ending is a happy ending, much happier than other sword and fairy ending like the one for sf1 that I saw, that ending was so sad because the fl and sfl died but people still love it. For this ending I heard they loss memories of each other but they both are still alive and they meet again. I'm seeing it as a happy ending because they can reconnect and make new memories.

Don't let it get to you, let's talk about other things besides the rating of this drama. I noticed everytime the ranked went down, it goes up again but I don't see any new watchers rating the drama, so I assume it must be those who rated this drama just to hate on it by giving an overall score probably that's why the rating is like that. Just ignore the rating and talk about what you like about this drama instead.

All these osts are so good. They also tell a story, I think each one representing the different characters in the drama when it plays at an emotional scenes ^^

He has so many expensive clothes. Xukai looks good in any clothes he put on ^^

Not sure where you get the idea this is only focus on romance when there're other things besides romance. It's also has court politics, the main leads have differing view points and would clash on their worldview. Also there're many characters that contributed to this drama. The ml and fl have their own armies that they're responsible for, their romance play a part in the drama true, but ml also have a connection with his group of men besides his romance with the fl. Some people who watches this drama said they like the bromance between his group of men over the romance even. It's not just a simple romance with little brain work like you said, if you don't know how to appreciate its quality you can drop it, no need to insult it. Even if it's true like you said everyone has different taste, such a drama is still appreciated by many.

So the reason zhao yan dressed up as a guy is to protect maiming. I don't see that much difference between when she dresses as a male and when she dresses as a female, I think I like her dressing as a male better lol. Every ep is getting more intense. This ep we get to maiming and zhao yan's relationship. Maiming now know how to break free of the blood binding, what's he going to do. At first I thought he resented zhao yan, but he's jealous that she has found friendship and love, as a result he wants to hurt xian qing because of his jealousy. But in the end he chose to let them both go shows he does care for her and does not just using her to borrow her life energy. What I want to know is does he cares for her as more than just a sibling, is that why he wants to hurt xian qing. This drama is so interesting, and most of the characters are important to the story not just the main leads. There's so many mysteries to explore in this drama, it's funny that anyone would call this drama childish, it's so much more complex than the first few eps would've you believe that it's like any other fantasy drama. Love all the acting in this drama, this drama excel in creating so many intriguing characters, this is a characters driven drama, and it's exactly the kind of drama I love. ^^

Thanks why bother rating the drama if they're dropping it without watching the whole drama. I only rate drama if I finished watching the whole drama as a whole because it's unfair to rate a drama without watching it. The haters are still stalking this drama apparently. I'm happy this drama is still so popular that haters are still doing whatever they can to bring down the rating of this drama compare to other dramas that started at the same time. Let's keep comments on the positive of this drama, I find this drama has so much controversy surrounding it because of those who are hating on this drama because of those other sword and fairy or the fans of actors/actresses of those other dramas. I'm glad fans of xukai and esther don't act like that and rate down other dramas because they're jealous of the competition.

The rank for this drama was at 500s and went up to 600s, I just thought it was weird that it has such a big jump that's all. Made me think someone was creating bots to rate down this drama.

If you're not into it then don't force yourself. Everyone has different taste, and drama is meant to be enjoy.

I really like Mr. Gu he's the voice of reason in this drama. I wonder how old he's because he's so mature. Compare to xian qing who is a thousand years old demon, he gives the feeling of being older than him. Jin zhao even liken him to a father figure. I really like his advice for Jinzhao about not feeling guilt over the past and to move on from the future, I think his advice will be a valuable lesson for jinzhao in the future, because the future can be change...What a sad love story, ming xiu love for him started from when he adopted her as a child, but it was doom from the start. I can tell mr. Gu truly cares for her, but he must've known her feeling for him as more than a student to her master, but refuses to acknowledge it because it's forbidden. That music that came on is so beautiful, it really is ming xiu's pov of her feeling for her master. Ming xiu want to bring her master back from the death, but is that even possible? And why can't she enter pureness when she's the guardian? The story of the nine shennong springs and their guardians are very intriguing, but it kind of hard to grasp all of its meaning if you don't understand the meaning behind them. All I know is Mr Gu is the guardian of pureness and now ming xiu inherited the title, maiming is the guardian of rehai, bian luhuan's older brother is the guardian of mist. So there're other guardians that are not introduced or I forgot?

I'm watching sword and fairy of xukai. So I can wait for abay to air later in Feb or March. I'm happy to see xukai have so many dramas to air in 2024, but I hope they can be space out so we don't get drama withdrawal when he has no drama left to air.

We finally got an official kiss from qi and jinzhao at the end of ep19, they're finally declared their commitment to each other. That first kiss under the water was really romantic, but it doesn't count. Their promise of wanting to be together forever is so sweet, these two young lovers are giving me the feels with how innocent their love are ^^ I have a weakness for this type if relationship when the fl is being so protective of the ml, that flashback scene when ml got stuck in the mine and fl used her spell to break through it to get to him. That scene gave me all kind of feeling, it's so rare to see fl being the stronger of the two and vowing to protect the guy she loves from any danger ^^

Those people from that sect mistaken qi as lord ming. Is kun referring to lord ming, in ep 1 qi was able to absorb those orbs and became more powerful. Those orbs are a source of her energy like her mother. Those people who swallowed those orbs when they ascended mean they died and the orbs became an energy source that can only be absorb by kun/ lord ming. Jin zhao denied qi as lord ming, but my guess is qi can absorb those orbs because she's like her mother a mythical beast, and her mother is lord ming that those people been worshipping. Bian luhuan finally got his revenge from that leader of qihun sect as he promised when he got qi hurt. He can also uses resonance with Qi like jinzhao, but it's not as strong and he will get injured when he uses it. Qi was able to absorb those orbs and gain power but she didn't become demonic, the reason is because jinzhao was there to break her out from being controlled. That brother of bian luhuan was trying to test qi by letting qi absorb those orbs because he thinks she can control the power. What's his purpose for testing qi? Bian luhuan stopped him because he's afraid qi couldn't handle it. He truly cares for qi, so I don't think he's a bad guy even though he's the leader of that evil sect.

I'm feeling emotional starting in ep 19 and I know this is not even the most emotional moments as this drama has 36 eps and I know I will feel more emotional towards the drama ending. Not sure what made you said it's lacking in emotions when even a scene between jinzhao and shifang watching that mother and son got me emotional 😭.

Yes it's a very cute romance for the main leads. The relationship started out very innocent and gradually develop into something more. There're multiple couples in this drama for you to root for, depends on which cps you refer ^^

Yeah their relationship before they knew about sexual attraction was feeling of protection. Jin zhao wants to protect qi and qi in turn said she wants to protect Jin zhao from all danger. That's why I find their relationship and the bond they forced in three years were so strong that it even made bian luhuan jealous :)

Qi's mother is kun and she is taking the body of the old sect leader of the yu demon clan is what I understand. So according to the old sect leader daughter qi's mother is saving them by using up her own power, and she needs to use the orbs as a power source. And in order to get that orbs bian luhuan's sect is supplying her with them in return for taking qi as a hostage. But her mother now wants to take qi back, so now they agree qi should make the choice whether she stays or go. I'm still not understanding about the connection with the yu demon clan and the heng-tao sect, and are their enemies or allies. Also why do they need to take all qi's memories?

I like both their chemistry. The relationship in ancient love poetry of zdy and xukai are much more reserved compare to wonderland of love with xukai and jingtian who are must more active in pursuing each other. Xukai always have great chemistry with all the actresses he paired with, it just depends on what his characters are like whether they're more extroverted or introverted. His character in his new drama sword and fairy and the couple is another flavor, both of them gave a feeling of young lovers with more childlike wonder. Xukai can play characters who are very mature or very young depending on the different dramas he's in. That's why I just love him playing the different characters in his dramas, they're always different depends on his characters so his chemistry with the different actresses also depends on his character's personality. They all have different taste and everyone who watches his dramas will have a definite favorite ^^
