Jinzhao and qi mind link is kind of like the resonance spell, they both can read each other thoughts and locate each other. Bian luo huan praise jinzhao resonace spell and said he's talented, so i assume resonance spell is not something that can easily acquired since bian luo huan took thirteen years and his resonance spell still not as strong as jinzhao who only trained for three years. Also mr. gu said the spell is base on the bond between qi and jinzhao, so jinzhao resonance spell being stronger than bian luo huan makes his bond with qi much stronger compare to qi to bian luo huan. This is what make luo huan jealous of jinzhao relationship with qi, i kind of feel bad for him. When he used the spell he would spit up blood, is it because of his injury that make his resonance spell weaker. I also heard shuo xuan's mother used meditation spell on zhu yu, i wonder if it's the same thing as the spell between qi and jinzhao, shuo xuan also know the spell, and she could calm down zhu yu by using it, but it must be weaker than the resonance between jinzhao and qi since zhu yu still gone mad while qi has jinzhao's help to stop her from going mad when she absorb the qiyuan orbs.

Thanks for your answer. You're not wrong, zhu yu bound mist soul to her blood i think it's similar to maiming soul being bound to rehai. This makes her being able to effect the nine shenanne springs and the six realms. The trade between zhu yu and the hengdao sect is suppose to be a win win situation for both sides, they both got something out of the trade, i was just wondering which sides gain more out of it, i suppose zhu yu didn't have to trade anything if she doesn't want to, but she still did it to save the yu clan and used her own daughter as a hostage while the hengdao sect use human lives as the offering. Does the hengdao sect knew zhu yu will turn mad once she absorb the qiyuan orbs due to human negative emotion, is that why they been planning all along to use qi as a weapon and have her and jinzhao train the resonance spell to deal with zhu yu once she turned madl. And does zhu yu knew what they were doing? If she knows why did she let them? Does she thinks she is too powerful that she is not afraid of them using her daughter against her?

This drama does need you to focus to understand it, otherwise it could get confusing. What you said about it being like an rpg game so true, the viewers only get a bit of information as the story unfold and we know as much as the characters in the show. That's why i'm rewatching it to understand it better ^^

Can someone explain to me why the hengdao sect would agree to make an agreement with zhu yu to supply her with the orbs, pretty much similar to a human sacrifice. i have an answer but would like to know if anyone has a different answer than what i got.

That depends on your taste. To me it does gets better as it gets more serious and more intense towards the last half of the drama while the first half is more lighthearted.

The romance is there, but it's not as focus as this drama is more family friendly. The main leads live together and didn't realizes their feelings for each other as being romantic until later on their journey when they meet and make new friends.

Really like how strong the women are in this drama, fl must be the strongest character beside her mother. Kind of cool to see an fl being a kickass and powerful character as this drama breaks the traditional gender role by making fl stronger than ml ^^

If you don't mind her voice, her character is one of the most powerful characters in this drama ^^

Kind of funny how xian qing is a wolf demon but was always mistaken as a dog. First it was zhao yan then qi and jinzhao ^^ The dragon stones that shifang used, is also used by the hengdao sect. I missed it the first time, the connection between shifang and the hengdao sect, the hengdao sect is known as a mechanic city for a reason. They specialize in mechanics, so the dragon stones are kind of a type of energy that can be used to power weapons.

Thanks for the correction i meant low douban scores, they're called trash by his haters, but i love most of his dramas and consider them better than some dramas with higher rating. Xukai dramas have more select audiences rather than the popular crowds, but i watch his dramas for his acting and the plots of the dramas.

Agree, the mystery about qi and jinzhao's identities took the first half of the drama. I also like there's a bit of time travel and the concept of how one can change one's own destiny.

I don't remember when i started crying, the last few episodes definitely were the most emotional for me. And the main leads and supports were great in their acting to give us so much feels.

So you also watch lost in kunlun mountain, for that drama i do agree romance is not heavy as in this one. Wonderland of love to me xukai character is actively pursuing the fl, their chemistry exploded in this drama as compare to lost in kunlun mountain it's more muted because his character is more patient and waiting for the fl to return his feeling. I also notice he has a natural chemistry with jing tian even in bts. I'm surprised you like ancient love poetry because many complain ml and fl don't have chemistry even though i also love xukai and zhou dong yu chemistry in that drama.

She also saves him a few times too, so not just only him saving her.

I think we as international fans feel he's an underrated actor in china because of all the bashing he getting from haters, and i saw many vids that called his dramas trash just because they don't have much love on weibo. I don't consider weibo as a site that is reliable when it comes to judge how good a drama is because of all the haters on there.

qi and shifang are so innocent, they're the most clueless in this drama. Everytime jinzhao told them something they never know what he meant lol. I like xian qing and gu han jiang friendship, how can a human able to befriend a demon of thousand years old, but acted even more mature than him ^^

I was talking to the other person not you, i thought it was that person that commented. Anyway i just don't like when someone judge a drama and said they skipped most of it i think it was a hater that pretend to watch a drama and said drama was childish because if they truly watch the drama they wouldn't say the main leads have bad acting or drama was childish when they play their characters as how their characters were like in the game. This drama has lots of mature themes so i would not consider it as childish anyway i wasn't address my comment to you so no hard feeling.
