This drama has such a good plot, that after I finished the first time I rewatch it right away. Even now I can't get over it to properly watch another drama. The plot is complex, and it builds the main leads story, that at first you thought it's not necessary but everything fall into place if you watch it to the end. Of course not everyone will like the same thing, but I would advice you to keep watching you might find you like it more than you thought. Also the chemistry between main leads I felt it build over time, and toward the end all you want is for them to get their happily ever after ^^

Yes, if you like the main leads in this one, you should also watch story of yanxi palace, they didn't end up together in that one, but it's also a very good drama. I watched the other one first, and I'm glad that they got another chance to be together. Plus all the cooking methods and the foods look so good that you will be hungry from watching royal feast ^^

Zi Jin kindness helps her gain friends from unexpected places. Those concubines of zhan ji were all snobs before they met her, but she was able to change their opinions and became good friends with them. Even lady of deportment wu, even though she was a spy from the prince of Han, she still hesitate to kill her because of her kindness towards her in the past. This is how life is, treat others as how you would like to be treated, it will comes back to you. For this drama, I always thought zhan ji is a straightforward person, but he can scheme even better than those under him. He was able to catch all those who were scheming against him, including his uncles, his concubine and servant who was the closest to him. It's sad to see how broken-hearted he's over yuan qi betrayal, he gave him so many chances to change his way, the dowager empress and even Zi Jin sounded the alarm and gave him a chance because of his relation to zhan ji, but he never learns. Yuehua finally repent for her mistakes, and I'm glad she has change her ways.

Hope the rumor is true, and it will get an air date in July.

Just want to say I really love the friendship between qingmu and Jing jian. Was kind of sad when baijue didn't acknowledge him, I know why he has to be so cold, but still really enjoy their friendship. I also like the friendships between baijue, tianqi and zhi Yang. Even though they have their differences, but they never stop standing up for the other. Shanggu friendship with yuemi and houchi with fengran were also great too, shanggu and houchi are so lucky to have such good friends ^^

I heard tv broadcast has much harsher censorship than online broadcast, that why I was wondering if it was due to wanting to broadcast on tv that's why it couldn't pass censorship in the first place.

That's a good reason for why it takes so long to air, so it's due to trying to get tv broadcast, so it could air already if it was online broadcast is that right. Was Zhao ge trying to get tv broadcast, that why it takes so long to air before Zhang zhe han got blacklisted?

I could be wrong, but I don't think it start this year. There was another drama that air last year called no boundary with Darren Chen, and it was also divided into 2 seasons like blue whisper. It's confusing when they actually started since some dramas were shot many years ago, and just got their air dates, and they keep adding new rule that as viewers we can't keep up with lol.

Heard xukai was filming for this variety show. What ep is he going to be in does anyone knows. Also since xukai is in it, which dramas he's promoting since he doesn't like to be in variety show unless he's promoting for his dramas. Hope this means she and her perfect husband with yangmi will be airing soon, as well as loss in the Kunlun mountain. These are the two dramas of his that are rumor to air this year.

I agree she's a very lucky girl. Her dramas seem to get released smoothly compare to other actors/actresses. Was checking out all her dramas released since 2018, and each year she has 3 dramas released up to 2022, so I can see where her popularity come from compare to other actresses who dramas are being hold up for whatever reason we'll never know.

Is the boycott has to do with his plagiarism issue? Is he still being boycott. I'm glad royal feast was able to air by declaring yu Zheng has little involvement with it, otherwise it might've been stuck like Zhao ge. Also it was plan for 50 eps, and got cut down to 40 eps, that's why I thought something was left out on the cutting floor lol.

Actor and actress get hurt all the time. Luo yunxi was hurt a while back. Even xukai hurt his back when he fell from his horse while shooting for court lady. Can't believe someone dare to accuse yangmi of being a drama queen. Your health is the most important, an eye injury is not a small matter, so she should rest and take her time to come back.

Thanks for the link, so royal feast has nothing to do with yu Zheng from my understanding. I thought it was a yu Zheng drama.

Houchi and qingmu are great, but baijue and shanggu are just as touching ^^

Some dramas get to air sooner. I don't know the reason, maybe one of the casts or staffs know someone on the inside as a result their dramas get to air sooner, who knows.

I know it has lots of parts to the series. But I remember hearing reunion was split into 2 seasons because of the new rule of having to cut down the number of eps, if the drama want to air it has to divide the drama into 2 seasons to pass the censorship. It's the same drama with same actors not like those other series with different actors.
