I complain about fl acting but I do like the drama, and my love has to do with the gaming aspect of it and the focus on cyber bullying. I also like the couples they have a very healthy relationship with very little misunderstanding. The king avatar is another good gaming drama, I like these two dramas over love 020 since both has a good focus on the game rather than on romance.

It's ok if you like his character, I just find you yi fan pale in comparison to Zhu zhan ji or fuca fuheng as my sls. I'm kind of hard to please though, a guy who abused woman, or used woman will not get my attention. Also his character is interesting but he's kind of boring, it's funny each time he has a conversation with Zi Jin it goes the same with him calling her foolish lol. Was kind of hoping something come up in his relationship with yue hua, and they could help each other becomes a better person, but it gotten nowhere, he was only using her. The one thing about this drama that could've improve is if there are other couples beside main leads, making it more fun so we could root for them to get together like Zi ping and the guy who she cooked for, but my hopes for that CP went out the window when he was marrying someone else. Manager fang liking zhan ji's manservant but they didn't even get together at the end :(

My sls will always be fuca fuheng played by xukai in story of yanxi palace. It also has xukai and wu Jin Yan in that drama. I think you yi fan is an interesting character, but I still hold a grudge against him for hurting Zi ping.

I really like Zi Jin's words to Zi ping, even if you're mad don't show it. As long as you keep your cool, the other person can't win against you.

You yi fan words to Zi Jin indicated he knew who Zi Jin is, him wanting to work with her but got refused, so he turn to su yue hua. The painting was stolen was probably due to him telling yue hua about it, and she stole it because she's not confident she will win against Zi Jin and zi ping. I think Zi jin was anticipating the painting could be stolen that why she draw the monk in to fool the person who stole her painting. Yue hua lost due to greed, someone who stole someone else's work for the shake of winning will not win against someone who truly love cooking and care about the people who eat her food.

I find it the opposite for me, I already watched both sub and understand the Viki sub better. But it could be because I watch the Viki sub later that's why my understanding of the show got better lol ^^

Ancient love poetry, arsenal military academy are good with an fl that can fight. If you don't mind palace drama court lady, story of yanxi palace, royal feast fl are smart and capable.

Well as a non-gamer I like how she's willing to do anything to win. And like I said she wasn't a professional, she was playing for fun before, and she didn't understand the importance of team work. However after she joined the team, she started to work with them and learning to play as a team with her teammates, even she knew she still has a lot to learn towards the end of the drama when her being egotistical hurt her team. It's not easy to change, but I appreciates that her character acknowledges her own shortcomings.

It's fine if you like her acting, I was kind of disappointed because I was expecting more. It's not about who was being more affectionate, but about expression, she couldn't show she was in love and it's her acting that needs improving. It's not just this drama, I was checking her other dramas and the same complains about her acting. Every drama is different, so you can't blame that on the writer.

I don't know what dramas you watched that has such a rule that fl can't show she's in love with ml. It's a modern drama not a historical. And you can't explain away it's the writer's fault if she has the same complains in her other dramas as well.

Interesting the fact that disasters appear so frequently, this emperor really caring about his people, so it's so jarring to see how he's so cold to his own wife who been with him for 20 years. It's so sad to see how she was begging for him to save her life, and he only cares about an imaginary pregnancy. If zhan ji didn't come in time, the empress might've really died.

Doesn't this emperor ever wonder if the report is true about all those disasters when he's thinking of sending aides, zhan ji suggestion about sending an imperial censor makes lot of sense. Also giving too much power to the royal guards will make them abuse their power. Makes one wonder why he's so against the crown prince's advice, almost like he's defying the previous emperor by doing everything the opposite, and he is taking his anger out on his son for siding with his grandfather. What's the significant of moving the capital? Why is this emperor so adamant about moving it. Zhan ji is siding with the previous emperor and think the capital should stays in Beijing to protect against invaders. His thinking is very similar to the previous emperor, and he's accusing his father for thinking only in the present and not for the future generations. The emperor is stubborn and wants to do things his way rather than listen to his son. His anger towards his son most likely came from his jealousy of his son having the previous emperor's affection as well as knowing his position was gotten through his son, that's the only thing I can think of.

Both the ml and fl didn't acknowledge they have feeling for each other. It was the fl that wants to confessed her feeling to ml when they were in the car, and he stopped her. Ml only confessed his feeling after seeing fl turned against all eSport players because of one incident involved a fan and an escort player. In my opinion fl has feeling for ml before ml realizes his feeling for her, that's why she was being so cold toward her ex since she already moved on and was having the hot for her captain. Ml didn't pursue fl until his confession, so I don't consider it as a love triangle since the ex was the only one to pursue her, and she made it clear she has no interest in holding on to her relationship with her ex to ml.

That depends on the plot whether the character was written that way. His character was called by his teammates as stone face, as well as other who knew him, so it's expected for his character to be acted that way. However for the fl, some people complain about her character because she rarely smile or show much expression. I'm actually alright with her character, my complains is how her character never changes even after she fell in love, the ml changes after he fell in love and becomes warmer as a result, I can tell he's into her much more than she's into him. I watched many dramas of ml, he has play many expressive characters from arsenal military academy, once upon a time in lingjian mountain, dance of the sky empire, court lady. I have always love his portrayal of these characters. I don't watch many dramas of fl, but I heard people complaining about her acting in her other drama before I watched this drama, so I concludes she does need more acting experience for playing main roles since she's still a newbie actress.
