Where did you get that figure, so the viewership of this drama has gotten to 2.35 billion on mango tv, not too bad. I suppose people will either love or hate this drama, I'm one of those people who is loving it ^^

It took me till 10 eps to really get into the show. I was watching it along side another drama at the time. How far have you got, for me it was when the ml brother came back, and the misunderstanding was solved between him and the team that is when it got better. Same with fl, at first I thought she was too girly for my taste, as the drama progresses, I start to like her character and appreciates what she brings to the whole team ^^

I guess we'll never agree on this. Because in my opinion ml became more responsible after meeting fl, if she asks for his help he would've help her. I already said why i like 2fl, if fl was like her I might've like her more .

The enmity between the two clans come from their distrust of each other. The master erases his memory and made him into a hero of the human clan, so he's expected to fight for the human clan. However he doesn't have much power besides his healing power, and he only gains his power after his father died. By then he was consider a fugitive by the king, the master let him go, instead of turning him over to the king, so I think he does cares for him. His mother's death was an accident. In my opinion lixuan only becomes more responsible after meeting fl, before that he was a ruffian, only playing around, since he didn't have a mother love he is also not heroic by nature.

I also like arsenal military academy, I love his character in that drama, as well as wu jai yi's character ^^

I already said 2fl is not in a relationship with ml, and she risk her life to save ml when he was put in prison. Fl on the hand was in a relationship with him, and knew how hard he was looking for his mother, but she still lie to him. I didn't like how everyone was keeping secrets from ml, but fl could have ask him for help, instead of lying to him and hurt him. My main problem with this drama is how fl was so strong in the beginning, and then she falls into a trope of being the damsel in distress so 2ml could rescue her. If she has come up with the plan to save her people by herself, I would've praise her for it, but everything she does, she has 2ml help almost like she can't do anything on her own. Maybe my reason for liking 2fl so much because of how independent and strong she is, I just admire her being able to outsmart her father and brother all on her own strength. The ending for this show feels incompletes, it could've been a better drama if the producer of this drama has focus on the plot instead of the unnecessary romance between fl and 2ml that comes to nowhere, and made fl into an unlikable person for using 2ml. I almost want ml to end up with 2fl, and leaves her for 2ml since she was more comfortable with his help anyway. I'm xukai's fan, so I can be bias, I just think the producer of this show really wants him to suffer, 2ml has a much better life parents, sibling, a kingdom, a fiance, he even gain a brother-in-law at the end. From what I understand the stone he gave to fl was given to him by the kunwu doctor to save his life, toward the end, the kunwu doctor gave it back to him, so he's save from dying very convenient.

I'm the complete opposite, I like her character more than 2ml. I think it would've benefits this show to introduce her character earlier, she has a touching storyline, having to hide her gender from her own father, and in the end she was able to outsmart her own father and brother. I don't blame her for hiding things from ml since they're not in a relationship, she has to think for her kingdom after all. What I couldn't forgive is fl teaming up with 2ml to fool ml, and hurt him by lying about his mother knowing he's looking for her. I didn't connect with 2ml, and feel he was there just to add love triangle, that's my most hated trope. Yeah drama could've been better if ml origin was given more focus.

It's not a soul switch exactly. If you're talking about houchi/shanggu and qingmu/baijue. It's kind of complicated, and took me a few watch to understand it too. Houchi was the body that house shanggu's power and develop her own consciousness, qingmu is similar baijue split his original being into half one with immortal power, and one without so he could absorb demon power in order to create chaos power to deal with the tribulation of chaos. Qingmu was a body of baijue with demon power, that develop his own consciousness and fell in love with houchi. I think it's similar to a split personality, they still share the same soul but have different personalities.

I on the other hand like the second prince, the girl who dressed up as a boy, her story was interesting, it could've been better to expand on her story. Ml story seems incomplete I agree.

This drama does take a rewatch to make better sense of the plot. I was watching on wetv, YouTube, Viki, and it's so interesting that I keep going back to watch it again. The evil girl are you talking about wuhuan? She was evil, but her character was pretty smart, she was able to hide her crimes for a long time because of her status as the heavenly empress. This reflects our real world, the rich and powerful can get away with almost anything as long as they've people willing to give them the pass.

The things that I like about this drama is the focus on the competitions and food as the main theme, and it's different from the usual palace dramas I watched. I don't have such complains, so that's why I was able to enjoy this drama a lot. It set out to do exactly what it promises, a drama about food, friendship and romance spanning the period of 3 ming emperors.

So zi Jin want to get close to zhan ji is to figure out what kind of person he is, whether he's worthy of her admiration since young. From her talk with Zi ping, she admires him even more after knowing more about him, she even read all the books in his study, how she describes him to Zi ping and blushes over him is so cute, just like a young girl with her first love ^^ Zhan ji also figures out the servant who served him food and helping him was the girl he met in the rain when he helped her before. The flowers that were arranged in his study must have been from her.

Zhan ji is a good son, the crown prince is lucky to have him, he's knowledgeable about court matters, and is looking out for his father. He helps his father advisors get out of jail, pleads to the emperor to send aid to disaster victims as his father wanted even though the emperor was against it, he still able to get him to agree. He is very mature for his age, from history he's supposed to be the same age as Zi jin. What a guy, a man after my own heart, not a surprise why Zi Jin has a huge crush on him. The emperor really doted on his grandson ^^

Xukai has three more dramas that are predict to air in 2022, she and her perfect husband, loss in the Kunlun mountain and snow eagle lord. Royal feast has finished airing, so I hope any of these dramas will get an air date soon ^^ Also he has a rumor drama called sword and fairy with an actress who was also in royal feast, wonder if it's real.

It was you that comment by saying I don't understand why this drama has better rating than other dramas that you like, so my comment to that is those dramas that you like have people like you who don't like those type of dramas and rated it low, why go into this drama and cried over their poor rating. If this drama has better rating than they must've done something right that made more people liking them. You don't see me complaining about dramas I like have poor rating do you, what a waste of your time to go on to a drama and complains about it rating. You still did not tell me what is so hard to understand about this drama.

It wasn't a problem for me since I thought she fits the character. Also I really like xukai's acting, and he made up for her lacking, as well as most of the casts chemistry and dynamic as a team was great. This is an easy and lighthearted drama, those other dramas you like have people rated low for their own reasons that has nothing to do with this drama. You can't expect everyone to like the same things you do lol ^^
