His acting is great since that's how his character was written. I find his character even when cold is more expressive than her, and once they dated he became even more expressive with his feeling, while she stays the same with no change. That's why I'm kind of disappointed because he's convincing in his feeling for her, but she couldn't show the same.

She broke up with her ex cleanly and made him accepted they were over before she started dating ml, also what trouble did he make exactly other than moping around, and acting jealous. What I like about fl is one the relationship is over, she is so cool about it, and wouldn't give him a second thought.

I don't consider it a love triangle because for it to be consider as one, the fl would have to be nice to the other guy while being interest in the ml. For this one she made it very clear from the first she has no interest in her ex, and made sure he knew they already broke up before she get together with the ml. I'm always annoy with the love triangle trope, but for this one I'm not annoy as all.

Ml doesn't stay cold all the time, after they dated he became much warmer. In term of romance it's exactly what I would expect for a gaming drama, not too much, not too little just the right amount. I find it a surprise that you liked fl and complains about ml being cold since her character is
being criticize for being inexpressive.

The osts of this drama is really good, they're play at the right moment. I can still listen to them from time to time ^^

Kind of feel bad for directress Wang, taking the blame for matron hu, compare to all those people in charge of the imperial food service, she is the one who is the most serious when it comes to cooking. Matron meng refused to intervene on her behalf is what changes su yue hua, everything she learned from her master became a waste. Compare to Zi ping and zi Jin who didn't have someone who devoted to their training like directress Wang to yue hua, what a waste of talent. Matron hu is such an ambitious person, even willing to betray her own friend to keep her position, letting directress Wang takes the blame for her. She's lucky that zi Jin is a kindhearted person and is forgiving, and doesn't hold a grudge.

Those physicians who misdiagnosed the empress, are they not caring about her health at all, they're so shady. Physician sheng is the only trustworthy one among them. Prescribing the wrong food could cause the patient becomes worse, it's a good thing Zi Jin confronts zhan ji and letting him know what happens to his mother, so she could get the right treatment.

Not so uncommon, he thinks she has feeling for him by her helping him with his paper, catching a beetle for him, etc, so he's showing his interest back at her. Beside he has been missing her when she gotten sick and couldn't cook for him ^^

I do agree she's not cut out to be a team player, but it's not like the drama didn't address it when they picked her to play for them from hundred of players. She was a regular player, not a professional, so she needs training to be a team player. Also from my understanding the drama has to change the game they played from league of legend to omyouji because of copyright issue. Whether they change it from a mobile game to a pc game, it's still just a drama not many who watches the game cares about the mechanic of gaming but rather what they care about is the team dynamics and how this drama was able to show a refreshing takes on the life of gamers as idols who are constantly in the public eyes. That's what I care the most about since I actually don't know much about the game, but was still able to enjoy the game animation as well as the team work between the players.

He likes her before meeting her, so he is afraid he will be disappointed after their meeting. He only pretending indifferent, but his two servants knew how much he is interested in her news, when she was sick he even has his man send medicine to help her get better so she could cook for him. The guy got it bad, and that was before they even met, she gotten him fallen for her cooking before knowing anything about her ^^

Too bad for those people, they don't know how to appreciate good dramas. If someone chooses to watch a drama just for an actor/actress look then they're missing out. It looks like those people are afraid this drama will become more popular than their fave dramas that's why they're so outspoken about main leads appearance. Zhou dong yu is not a classic beauty, but she looks good without makeup, much better than those actresses with too much makeup making them look unnatural. Xukai has always look good in ancient costumes, the Chinese netz who called him fat must be blind, his costumes are plain and simple but they look good on him regardless. From my understanding it's those cnetz that were putting down this drama, to discourage people from watching it, and it's a shame that some people actually believes it.

Ml and fl have another identity, and both married and have a child together. Ml woke up with his other identity, and in order to make fl gives up on him, he decided to get marry with someone else, the marriage was interrupted and he didn't finish it because he gotten what he wanted fl hatred. It's kind of complicated, but very interesting drama if you decide to invest your time ^^

In ep 13, consort Zhuang is so pitiful. I'm so glad zi Jin is helping her cooking her favorite dessert, and letting her visit her mother for the last time. What a barbaric ancestral rule, Zi Jin is right it's wrong to put all these concubines to death after the emperor died, the rule should be change. The crown princess now turn empress is a cold woman, she has such a nice relationship with consort Zhuang, but she refused to see or speak up for her. Now I can understand why Zi Jin is so afraid of her. The crown prince now turn emperor, I kind of understand why he is not favor her, her personality is too strong, he prefers a gentle woman like his concubine who coddle him instead of lecture him like the empress always does. The emperor's concubine is afraid after watching consort Zhang died, she's afraid and it's apparent the empress if she has the chance will put her to death once the emperor died.

Zhan ji is mourning over his grandfather death, they had such a strong bond, the late emperor refer to him as the future of the ming dynasty, it's so obvious he only tolerated his eldest son because of his grandson. He would listen to zhan ji's advice, but refused to listen to the crown prince and dismissed him without letting him speak. He even pardoned officer xia when he was about to ordered his death.

I will wait for may, it's all speculation so let just wait until there's an announcement if there's a delay.

Yeah I think that's a good way to watch this drama slowly to appreciate the plot ^^

So many things happen in each ep of royal feast, so it's weird to see some people complaining there's no plot in this drama. They must be watching a different drama than the one I'm watching ^^ I have to write it out in the comment section so I don't forget, and even then it's still hard to remember it all lol.

Matron meng loss her position and is being picked on by her subordinate. Funny thing is she will get her position back and will punish that woman for sure. Zi Jin word about matron meng is so true, she won't be bully that easily. What I don't understand is why matron meng let her daughter believes the rumor about her, and not trying to explain to her daughter what truly happened. If she has been honest to yue hua in the beginning, yue hua might not turn out as bad as she was.

In those days people already know how to play soccer, those girls are so good at ball handling, wonder if they were truly playing. Zi ping is so good at playing with the ball, poor Zi ping being slapped for playing well. That lady of deportment wu is too much, she invited her to play and then get mad when she loss.

Zhan ji has it hard for Zi Jin, he even ask her to go with him, and catch a rabbit for her when he was away on business ^^

The mother of the crown princess is displeased with her grandson's consort. So she has picked out a consort for her grandson that the emperor approves, but he then changes his mind and pick consort hu because he believes in an alchemist about consort hu being a lucky symbol. Zi Jin being afraid to be seen by the crown princess's mother can only concludes she must've something to hide like she was the first girl that was approved by the emperor to be his grandson's consort.

I been wondering why Zi Jin gotten angry when Zi ping got slapped and she stepped on the lantern that zhan ji drawn for her, does it has something to do with her own situation, when she was also abused in the past by someone powerful. Also why is consort Zhang crying, it looks like the emperor doesn't care much about his harem, the way he treated his women from the last time when he was investigating about the attempts on his life made it obvious he cares little about consort Zhuang, I kind of feel bad for her.

I'm also looking forward to this drama of xukai beside she and her perfect husband and snow eagle lord ^^

It's on YouTube, with good subtitles, no need to watch with VPN. I'm quite satisfied with this drama since both of them have a chance to be together unlike in the other one. You're like many others who likes sad ending than happy ending. Xukai and wu Jin Yan were asked in an interview, and both of them said they prefer sad ending over happy ending. I think they meant the sad ending in story of yanxi palace over the happy ending in royal feast ^^

That depends, a good drama can still be interesting with good plot and characters and not be boring. For this drama 60 eps is too much, but it should be longer than 28 eps to give a better ending since it feels unfinished when it ended.
