I remember I was feeling sorry for him in that scene. He put his feeling out there for all to see, and she was totally oblivious. There was a deleted scene before that scene where someone was pranking her by taking all her clothes, and in order to keep her secret he kissed her in front of a group of boys. Gu yanzhen just didn't care after that lol, since they were caught already, he just decided to be open about his feeling. I think he was hurt because she has never try to change room before even when he made a nuisance of himself in the past, so her wanting to change room mean she rejected his feeling. It was sheng jun shan who reported to the teacher, and didn't ask her permission to do so, for some reason I find gu yan zhen cute when he's taking charge and being stupid, but I don't like it when sheng jun shan did the same thing. I think I really like how he's so pure when it comes to love even when he's a bad boy ^^

It's her dream, so maybe it was both of their wishes to see each other that manifest that dream in the first place to see each other one last time. He was telling her to not dream of him again, and to say good bye, the pain he was feeling not being able to return her love must have overwhelmed him that made him said the love word since in a way for him it was a good bye, but for her it was just a dream.

When I first watched this, I also thought the same thing, where's houchi father, she's a goddess but she was so disrespected by those who are much lower in status than her. It wasn't like this when I started watching. It was changed after the drama ended for some reason. I have no idea why someone would think it's a good idea to spoil so much of the story :(
I agree with you about baijue being the most miserable in the whole series. I think that's why I love his character…
I think the only scenes of baijue being happy was in the god realm, his character was use to being lonely, and he didn't really care about it until he met shanggu. In a way shanggu broke her promise to him when she sacrifice her life, she promised to accompany him always, so he won't feel lonely anymore but after falling in love with her and watching her die in front of him, he was left alone for 60,000 years. I'm just glad houchi was there for him while he was in disguise as boxuan.
For qingmu, he didn't have too worry much being he loss all memory of his past, so he was just an ordinary immortal, so he was able to love freely unlike baijue. I think both baijue and shanggu wanted a love like what houchi and qingmu have, but they can't due to their status as true gods.

Fuca fuheng character in yanxi palace was a really tragic character, he was also a very righteous character like baijue. His ending was really sad, I ship him with the main girl in that show so hard even if he was only a s in port character. I don't like harem either, but I was able to really enjoy that show, the fl was really strong and smart, watching her beating her opponents was very satisfying. This show gave me such a strong sls and I never recover from it lol ^^
Hope this drama and she and her perfect husband will get an air date soon. It's was so nice to get 3 dramas of xukai in 2021, hope the same will be for this year 2022 ^^
Really like xukai in this role. Him and his family are the highlight of this drama. Really appreciate the family bond between the brothers, the love they show for each other, and it was so funny how the father is so afraid of his own wife ^^ I can imagine sheng chu mu will become like his father and brother-in-law when it comes to fu rou ^^ His character change feel realistic, at first it was due to impressing a girl, and gradually as he became a true soldier he started to realize how he can use his position to help fight pirates and make his family proud. For the romance, for those who feel frustrated about their separation, I find it's due to their separation that their relationship could build up to become much stronger. I find both of them were able to grow from being apart especially for sheng chu mu. I was enjoying them being at their best at what they do, her being a court lady and he being a general that commanded an army. His tactics and fighting skills were amazing, and that what I appreciate about his growths from being a degenerate to someone to be afraid of by his enemies ^^
