The similarity with Gone With The Wind is striking but the very young audience is oblivious to it, the film has dropped from the radar long time ago.
Therefore, I'm so pleased someone mentioned it, if only one person reading your review decides to watch it, they will be pleasantly surprised to what they will see.
Ah, thanks for this, I've just started season 2 and I don't see the original actress anywhere, not even as a guest. I'm not bothered about it, I was just curious, it would have given the second series more of a binding with first series, I understand the idea of changing bodies and so on but if the drama feels somehow disjointed because of this change, then it becomes problematic.
I think I'm immune to hype and super hyped because I read a lot of articles in the media and some have comments on which contradict the articles' content. I'm talking about all sorts of subjects, nothing to do with Asian dramas. In other words, the hype is the only way journalists are trying to become relevant. I don't pay attention to them and as for dramas, I try all sorts depending on my mood. My list of watching now is increasing every day because I start dramas and get bored, I leave them and start other dramas and so on.
I agree with you, what the herd likes I might dislike, however, I always try them for a bit out of curiosity. Goblin, I liked it for its cinematography, great landscapes, Descendants and Crash though, total dislike, I tried Descendants twice and couldn't finish it. However, this one is totally, totally different from any other dramas I watched and...I like it. No need to force yourself if you don't feel like watching it.
me after 3 eps ..i might watch it again after all eps released
There are a lot of top dramas people don't watch because they don't find the subject interesting, just choose what you like. This drama made me shed so many tears but I don't expect others to keep crying like I did.
LOL...I know exactly what you're saying - after paying for Netflix, Viki and iQIYI, to see dramas advertised anywhere…
Viki and iQIYI memberships renew in autumn, just a couple of weeks later I realised how many of them are free of charge on YouTube with Chinese characters next to translation which helps learning a bit of the language, it has become my favourite app now.
Well, since I don't have Hulu or Disney freaking +, I guess I won't be watching this.
LOL...I know exactly what you're saying - after paying for Netflix, Viki and iQIYI, to see dramas advertised anywhere else, the first thing that pops on my mind is this.
You know...that was the special part of this drama, not getting married in the end... Everyone would expect the…
On the contrary, they have too much imagination, they let us choose the ending that would make us happy as we are all so different, some of us would like to see a wedding, others...a bit more realistic, prefer to not see that.
When I read the synopsis I said to myself : Well, at least I know from the beginning it's one of those totally unrealistic scenarios which wouldn't happen even on a far away planet, so, let's give it a try, I assume all responsibility.
Same here. I like the acting of both actors actually. I am very sure there will be a reveal that is contrary to…
Oh, yes, Netflix keeps a close eye on me ! Lol...can't wait for the next episode...she found out ! Ouch ! The preview was full of dynamite. I'm actually rewatching Hwarang - third time. I simply love the music and everything else, I meant to watch highlights but I can't skip any scene, not even the old men talking because it's all very short.
As I didn't know Lee Jae Wook, I had a look at his other dramas and I'm quite enjoying watching Alchemy of Souls which wouldn't have been on my list as a genre but the actor does a good job acting in that one so, what can I say, something good came out of this drama. Otherwise, I had the same thought as you, Disney did a bad job broadcasting this one, it's not worth spending any money on it. I watched all 8 episodes so I feel compelled to watch it all, the quality of the story is so low, it makes me curious to see what is the rest of it, will it ever make sense, will it live up the its name by revealing the heir none of us thought about ?!
The scene between the in-laws at the hospital is a real gem, on a par with the atomic bomb, one of those bonuses we get from time to time in dramas. I liked the build up to it and somehow expected it.
There are many negatives in it but the biggest one for me is what they did to that poor baby - the shouting, the screams, he was scared out of his wits plus the violence, the women were so fast to lift their hand to slap their sister or daughter, all in front of the baby - they grow up thinking that's normal ?! Violence in SK seems to want to be perpetuated for ever.
Same here, I just finished watching it for the third time - why ? Because I listened to the OST on YouTube and that was like spark leading to a massive explosion of past feelings when I was watching this drama. In spite of all its faults, it will always get a 10 from me because it moves me, it's a slice of life, a mirror to all our mistakes in life : "It's normal to make mistakes because there is no rehearsal" - who can argue with that !
Have you tried a HDMI cable from your laptop to the tv? I had to resort to doing that cause casting my mobile…
I got used to having two mobiles, one of them without sim, purely for entertainment, it's good be sure I don't get bothered by pings all the time so I cast from it, it's more practical because it's so much smaller than the laptop. The cast works 99% of the time, it's not the mirror cast but the straightforward one, I click and I can even shut the mobile off, it keeps transmitting. But I don't shut it off, only the screen to save on the battery life.
