He and LZX were good friends in childhood + he's her senior PLUS the current stage of her career depends on him. That creates a lot of power complex. It's very hard to say no to seniors especially those who you can't offend. So for LZX it's not as easy to establish boundaries like it is for GW with Gao Xi. So LZX flinches or laughs nervously and denies politely and tells him she likes someone else but can't say no on his face. Worst part is that the dude can read her mannerisms but still insists because he sees her as a goal to achieve. Aaaaagh.
That new dude just rubs me wrong. Lao Lin is not facing any current issues post surgery that is undermining his lifestyle so why coax Ms. Lin into uprooting their lives in their country and moving to a foreign country? He just wants close access to LZX. And the way he speaks: LZX is not his girlfriend "for now" (as if she's a goal to achieve and not a person with likes and dislikes) and asking not to go to GW's apartment like dude?? You were away for years, why are you controlling someone who is practically grown up and become a stranger? And he disguises this all with sweet talks of how he wants the best and how he's like an older brother. PLEASE. 🙄
I don't know where do you get your data from, but according to this Xiao Zhan page, the drama is nr 1 in all possible…
It seems the youtuber's ranking is based on the weekly chart. Since TOOL hasn't been airing for the full past week, the previously airing dramas are at a higher ranking. TOOL has been topping this chart since it released (the daily chart) so hopefully we'll see it at #1 in the next weekly chart.
"Respect all opinions and don't get offended by different opinion" *proceeds to disrespect everyone else's opinion and and gets offended by disagreement* you will provide lame, trollish, vaguely targeted opinions and what do you expect everyone else to do? Sing along?
Folks, I know the plummet in the ratings on here aren't making you happy, but remember this isn't an official…
True. There's no point worrying about it. Also only 7 episodes are released and score is usually unstable till the finale. If it's really done by an upsurge of trolls then by the end they will (hopefully) forget about it and will be drowned out by a heavier and fairer majority of actual drama watchers.
It also kind of shows how much he still loves to be a surgeon but something in his past is preventing that from…
Yes, totally. These small things give so much depth to the character. Have you seen the Hunan tv trailers for ep 4? I saw a shot re: his past that was quite chilling ... especially compared to the healing- comedic mood of the drama.
A trivia fact that I found from Twitter: in the first episode we see Gu Wei peeling grapes. I thought he was just being neurotic and Sheldon Cooperesque but apparently grapes are used for practicing surgery because of their thin skin. A nice touch imo and puts a layer to his personality and backstory.
YZ is an amazing actress and great in what she does but this show isn't for me. I liked to get hooked early but…
Lmao you just went to both of XZ's dramas, praised his co-stars and demeaned him. You have the right to your opinion but I've seen this script before 😉
The dad is too strict but I don't think he's unrealistically strict. These kinds of dads and even moms are pretty common throughout East and South Asia. One of my friend's mom is actually a dean in school and we are all super scared of her LMAO. Most kids around us here have curfews before which you ABSOLUTELY have to reach home, so a pub of all places (without telling!) and the clock ticking past 11 p.m will cause a furore. Given the fl still hasn't graduated college or is financially independent. My parents aren't that strict (although 'pub' raises eyebrows so I have to change it to 'restaurant' when I'm out 🤣) but the character still gave me nostalgia.
And for a good reason, he's so talented and handsome, he deserves even more hype than he already has! 😋
Johnny is good at action scenes and it's commendable that he chooses projects that play up to his strengths. But let's be honest some of his crying scenes from the last drama were questionable. He's hardly veteran either. If you want to talk about veteran actors in military roles you should go for Zhang Yi or Wu Jing. And it is hardly fair to throw all well-intentioned criticism towards any actor you like as "someone else's fan" or "anti".
