He surprised me today! His looks reminds me of 2019, the time I always miss, though I wasn't there. Longer hair…
He didn't say he doesn't like long hair and bangs, he said he doesn't like the idea of fans controlling how he looks and having to maintain an "idol" appearance, and deserves to have the freedom of changing his appearance according to what the role requires.
Sigh I wish people would not come here and judge a drama that's not even out and compare with some terrible drama that came out recently that has literally NOTHING in common with TLP. π If there are similarities then you can keep those comparisons to at least till the drama is out before making them. I can name a dozen shifu-student dramas, not to mention TLP is not even a typical shifu-student xianxia.
Actually I'm glad TLP doesn't have some of the tropes and themes that majorly irk me like "everyone likes the ml/fl", immortal realms, multiple lifetimes, demons etc. π
The reason for the dubbing is bcs the Chinese government made a policy like that, that if the drama will be aired…
What are you even talking about. The rules are that dramas that use dubbing are not usually aired on tv. Oath of Love aired on Hunan TV prime time. Go look at big CCTV dramas like Three Body Problem, a very different configuration than web dramas. Kindly don't make up your own facts and pass them as real.
Tbh the comparison is awkward since one is a studio pic (that is whitened by fans on top of it and the other is…
Let's agree to disagree because I think it may look like that because in 2019 he was more public but I think his schedule is way more cramped now. In 2019, he had somewhat 19 endorsements and now he has more than 30, all of which require shooting a lot of ad content. Variety shows mostly aren't hard work, celebs go there usually to relax their work schedule. He has to rehearse for his stage too which is a LOT more work than it looks like, anyone playing in theatre would know, let alone elite theatre in an 8 hour long play. I think in comparison his 2019 was quite simple, the only point where he was really busy then was around October - November when he was shooting TOOL and Our Song simultaneously. Tbh, I thought he looked a bit too thin in 2019, he looked better in 2021 because he had to put weight on. A little weight looks really good on him imho.
Tbh the comparison is awkward since one is a studio pic (that is whitened by fans on top of it and the other is a mid-movement screenshot) and I get your concerns. I think there are two reasons why this happens especially with ads : the ad content is shot over the year and sometimes released much later (for e.g when he has to do costume stuff he needs to lose weight which he gains again in his modern roles and that fluctuation is visible in the ad contents). Secondly, as far as I've seen most of his ad assignments are done really late at night like 2:30 a.m and after a day of shooting there's really no way the makeup can hide the tiredness in his eyes.
Best not to judge from the ad content! I think he looks very fresh and fulfilled in studio content and stage content (which has zero editing).
How the other person really praising about the chemistry between them in BAH and said bad thing about CQL..hey..are…
Oh, right lol. I vaguely remember about it from 2020 but never heard of it again. And about that group of people, it's best to let them stew in their filth and not bother since they don't affect xz's career or life in any possible manner.
Just saw Xiao Zhan's poster of the TVC/short film directed by Wong Kar-Wai, omg I have been a fan of Wong Kar-Wai before i even knew about XZ ! π Hope this collaboration leads to more in future, though working under the lens of one of the greatest directors of all time so early in his career is already commendable. I'm sure it was a huge learning experience for him too.
Whoever is managine his career is not doing a good job. He is very popular they should take advantage of that…
His dramas don't take any longer to air than other celebs' dramas (I have been waiting for XuKai and YangMi's drama since forever I think it's been two years already). Many celebs have dramas stuck for even 5 years. Most dramas take a year with post-production and censorship review.
Does anyone know if there are any truth to these rumors? If so not good for XZ :(https://www.reddit.com/r/CDrama/comments/x3npwm/more_regulations_coming_to_chinese_dramas/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
No one knows for sure, but I'll be honest, from my experience this kind of "memos" come every two months and nothing really happens.
LOL, whole year no events, and when we have some, we have two at one day XD Will we see Xiao Zhan applying any…
Haven't personally watched her works but the general impression is that she's a recognised actress. From the visuals alone, I think their characters would look cute as a couple. π The rumoured core team (director and scriptwriter) seem to be quite recognised too. Let's hope it's a good project! π
Looking forward to his new works and kinda glad some people are getting called out lol. I hope they can find their Chinese period 70s drama with alien invasions and let others enjoy things. π
The only good thing about this drama is Huang Jingyu but I couldn't finish it. This drama wasn't for me unfortunately.…
Hey! You're that person who was caught going on a mad tirade in comment sections of every xz drama (that you were watching for the co-star! And (un)surprisingly you haven't watched any other dramas of the said co-stars!) Then you were acting green tea in OOL comment section saying you like DC (so that you look convincing but you rated it 1 anyway). Your hate for XZ making you rate a drama like JOL with 1 (cirque du Soleil at this point lmao). Anyway, great pretender, it must hurt to know only XZ got praises out of this chopped up drama. Keep being obsessed. π₯°
