I loved the it started but not the ending it was boring
Felt like the writers ran out of inspiration after episode 7/8.

cute drama with good actors. 12 episodes was the right lenght. I really liked the second couple !
I usually hate second couples, but this one was pretty good! That being said, I think they could have done more with their storyline. But I liked how they connected it well with the main couple. I hate when a drama has totally random second or third couple storylines that have nothing to do with the main couple or plot.

This was exactly what I needed to lift my spirits. Funny and sweet. I laughed a lot especially in the middle episodes. The beginning and ending was weak, but well worth watching for the comedy in the mid section.

Some of the writing was not great and the plot was quite thin. I didn't like how they resolved the main issues in the plot towards the end. The grandma abuse storyline was very unrealistic. You don't get an older person like that who suddenly changes overnight after years and years of being a narcissistic abuser. I also felt the way they dealt with the big reveal of who they really were was unrealistic. You don't hold a grudge like that for that many years as an adult. I think they could have done the reveal in a funnier way.

Same. I am a bit underwhelmed by this drama. It was pretty good, but not joining my top 10 xianxia list.
Ok, well if you want some tips for better xianxias to watch, I shared a list above

Please put this as a spoiler...

Title The Glory
Wow, just started this. It's spectacular. Riveting, unpredictable, dark and incredibly moving.

Sure. (In no particular order):
Love & Destiny
The Legend of Shenli
Ancient Love Poetry
Eternal Love
Eternal Love of Dream
Ashes of Love
The Starry Love
Till the End of the Moon
Love Between Fairy and Devil
Legend of Fuyao
The Flame's Daughter
Ever Night

Also, even though this drama has some really annoying female characters "Love and Redemption" has an excellent plot.

I also recently watched Fangs of Fortune which deserves a special mention, very high quality production.

You know what it's really missing is a powerful instrumental score and moving songs. All the best xianxias have music that move your soul.

I agree! MQG was a great character. I think they should have extended the first arc more. The whole cute bubbly…
That period of time lasted for a good 20 episodes. I would have preferred to extend the first arc a little and cut a few of the cliche scenes of her and her fellow disciples at the beginning of the second arc. For example, they cut all the scenes where MQG fights in the war as Zhan Niang Niang.

I found Ran Ran was simply too good, she wasn't well rounded enough as a character for me personally. I've seen hundreds of characters just like her. I really don't mind it if the character evolves more quickly but it lasted too long for me before she regained more of her MQG maturity.

I wanted to like this more than I did, but the episodes in the middle felt repetitive and just seemed to drag…

Overall pretty good, but unfortunately not one of the best. I enjoyed watching it, the plot was fast paced which made it engaging but unfortunately, it was also repetitive. For me, even the saddest scenes didn't even produce one tear and I have been known to sob during xianxias. The support characters were shallow and often stupid. I felt the writing and directing was just lacking refinement that would have taken it from good to great. The first arc was overcut, missing a lot of important scenes and plot development for example most of the war. The rushing and lack of buildup was anticlimactic. I also felt that despite the talent of the lead actors, there was something missing in the chemistry... The villain was miscast and his character was oversimplified. By the end, I just struggled to care and just wanted to get through it.

8.5/10.

I’m not quite sure why I’m struggling with this drama. I’ve watched it thru ep 14 and just feeling bored…
It took me a while to get into it as well, I almost dropped it but I kept going and enjoyed it more and more later.

Really nice, heartwarming family oriented drama that devotes a few episodes per romance with each sister. Unfortunately, you can tell that it was overcut and sometimes this poor cutting and editing negatively affects the flow of the story, leading to a very shortened final story that is like an afterthought. Nevertheless, very good drama that could have been even better with better editing (and better casting/acting from some of the cast). 8.5/10

Simple answer-ZLH'S signature mole on nose bridge 🤣🤣🤣
It took me the longest time to recognise that mole because I kept thinking there was something on my screen. 🤦‍♀️🤣

do they clone them? I cannot say if this ML is the same actor or different from the one in The First Frost
Heh? They look nothing alike! There are some lookalikes in C drama land (or even ones that look like K actors). Zhang Linghe and Song Weilong have very similar features (eyes, nose, jaw) but SWL has much thicker, darker eyebrows that gives him more of a brooding look lol and he also has fuller lips. The actresses Li Yitong and Li Qin can also be hard to tell apart from some angles.

But there is a genuine phenomenon that can cause someone to struggle to tell people of a certain ethnicity apart, it's called "cross race effect" and it's caused by the brain developing facial recognition skills from what you're exposed to (most likely your own ethnicity), but then looking at another ethnicity, your brain has less practice differentiating features in that ethnic group. It can be fixed with more exposure.

This is the worst drama I’ve ever watched
You only watched 5 episodes. How would you know? This is an epic story with lots of twists and turns. You're missing out.
